A/N - this video speaks to me SO much :(
Someone once asked me 'Why do you crave darkness?' 'Why do you stare at the ceiling, for hours with the blinds drawn?' I stand frozen, unable to explain that it's so easy to crave something once it has completely taken over, becoming all you know. When the lights come up, the crowd is ready and eager. If you make even one mistake, the vultures will tear up everything you are, until all that's left are dried bones, lying useless on the pavement as they slowly, yet surely, wither away into dirt. I tell people I'm not sure why faking smiles and laughs is so easy. And that's true, for the most part. People keep telling me to suck it up, plastering thoughts in my head and smiles on my face. I had to give in or face the consequences.
