"THINK THEY'RE HAVING SECOND THOUGHTS?" Cara asked the pair as they all walked together.
Mando walked between Cara and Aeryn, the child's floating crib following right behind him.
Greef, on the other hand, walked a few feet ahead of them along with his two remaining associates. They seemed to be occupied and were all engaged in a deep conversation.
Aeryn couldn't help but feel anxious for the child. If anything was to happen, she was determined to protect the child and Mando.
Whatever it takes.
"Could be." Mando answered as he continued walking between Cara and Aeryn. "Keep watch."
"I'm watching." Cara replied, her eyes fixated on Greef Karga's back.
"Me too." Aeryn acknowledged. "Always."

THE CITY OF NEVARRO can now be seen by the group. Just a few more minutes of walking and they'd be near enough to see what waited for them.
Greef Karga walked by Mando's side which made Aeryn cautious. He could be up to something without anyone even knowing.
The former guild master suddenly took a few steps ahead of them, stopping on their tracks. The rest of the group followed, curious of Greef's actions.
Then something unexpected happened.
Greef quickly turned around, his blasters both on his hands, and shot his remaining two associates walking far behind.
Mando, Cara, and Aeryn all took their blasters out, pointing it at the man in front of them. The man who just shot his own associates.
Aeryn and Cara took a quick glance behind them and saw a sight they never expected. The bodies of Greef's associates lied on the ground, lifeless.
Aeryn's eyebrows furrowed, confused of what just happened. Nevertheless, her grip on her blaster remained tight, cautious.
"There's something you should know." Greef began, raising both of his blasters in the air.
The former guild master, then, rushed to the lifeless bodies of his associates as he placed his blasters back to the holster. He kicked the dead bodies and their faces can now be seen.
Aeryn let out a short, sharp sigh at the sight of the lifeless bodies.
"The plan was to kill you and take the kid. But after what happened last night I couldn't go through with it." he admitted, now facing them.
Mando, Aeryn, and Cara remained on their stance, observing every move Greef made. Kuiil, on the other hand, made his way to the group.
"Go on, you can gun me down here and now, and it wouldn't violate the Code. But if you do, this child will never be safe." Greef added.
Aeryn and Mando took a quick glance at the child. It was looking up at them, as if it was asking what was going on.
"We'll take our chances." Cara replied sternly.
"The Imperial client is obsessed with obtaining this asset. You tried to run, but where did it get you?"
"This is ridiculous." Cara muttered, looking at Mando and Aeryn.
"Perhaps you should let him speak." Kuiil told them as he stood on the side, pointing at Greef.
"Listen. We both need the client to be eliminated. Let me take the Child to him, and then you three-"
"No." Mando cut him off.
"Let's just kill him and get outta here." Cara proposed, pointing her blaster closer to Greef.
"He's right." Mando finally spoke as he slowly placed his blaster down.
"Mando," Aeryn called for Mando, her eyes fixated on him.
"As long as the Imp lives he'll send hunters after the Child." Mando explained as he turned to look at Aeryn.
"It's a trap." Cara interjected.
"Bring me." Mando ignored Cara and turned to face Greef.
"Bring you?"
"Tell him you captured me. Get me close to him, and I'll kill him." Mando explained.
"That's a good idea. Gimme your blaster." Greef acknowledged and Mando did as what he said.
"Mando," Aeryn called for Mando as she watched him hand his blaster. "You're not going alone. I'm coming with you."
"This is insane!" Cara exclaimed, furious.
Aeryn, then, placed her blasters back to its holster.
"It's the only way." Mando replied, turning to Cara's direction.
"Well, I'm coming with you two." Cara proceeded to place her blasters down.
"No, no, no. Two fighters with you? That would make them suspicious." Greef pointed at Mando, making his point.
"We're coming." Aeryn looked straight into Greef's eyes, emphasizing each word she had said.
"Tell'em they caught me." Mando instructed.
"Fine. Then she can bring the Child." Greef agreed, pointing at Aeryn then at the child.
"There's no way he's coming with us." Aeryn replied.
"The kid goes back in the ship." Mando was the one to speak now.
"But without the child, none of this works."
"I have a plan." Mando assured him and turned to look at Kuiil. "Kuiil, ride back to the Razor Crest with the Child and seal yourself in. When you're inside, engage ground security protocols, and nothing on this planet will breach those doors."
The Ugnaught walked closer to Mando, handing him something.
"Here's a comlink. I will keep the child safe." Kuiil assured the pair and turned to Cara's direction. "Don't forget your stripes."
"Let's go."
One by one, the group prepared themselves for the battle they were about to enter.
"Aeryn," Mando called for Aeryn as he stood beside her, his hands cuffed. "I need you to be safe."
A small, genuine smile formed on Aeryn's lips at the sight of the familiar Mandalorian standing beside her. She gently placed her left hand onto the right cheek of his helmet, caressing it.
Right now, she didn't mind of what Cara or Greef would say.
Deep inside, she knew that the chances of her survival in this battle was low but she would do anything-anything to keep Mando at ease.
Even if it would mean telling him a lie.
"I will be." Aeryn assured him, looking right into his eyes.
Mando felt calm by the sight of Aeryn's smile. He wasn't aware of the truth, though. The truth that Aeryn was prepared to sacrifice her life for his, if the moment ever came.
And what Aeryn didn't know was, soon, she will finally know the truth. Her own truth. Something that she had been looking for her whole life.
Someone who had been the main reason for her to embark on this whole journey from the very beginning.
Soon, she will find Din Djarin.
