"Taehyung? Are you okay?" The said males mother asked the next morning once she saw her son walking down the stairs with a pout placed on his face. Taehyung was still upset about the night before and he was even more mad that the uneasy feeling of jealousy didn't wear off by now.
"What? Oh I'm fine." Taehyung gave the woman a fake smile as he walked over to the kitchen to make some toast. "Well you don't seem fine." His mother protested, only making Taehyung roll his eyes.
"Just upset about lockdown that's all." The brunette lied once again. Taehyung wasn't really the type to lie, but what was he going to tell her? 'The cute straight boy who I've been talking to through the window had sex with his girlfriend'. Yeah right.
"I think we all are honey." The woman chuckled, ruffling her sons hair in the process before she began to make herself a cup of coffee. "You're dad is definitely more upset than us though. He hasn't come out of his room in days."
Taehyung sighed as he looked down at the toast he just buttered. He loved his dad and it made him even more upset at the fact that his dad was probably really going crazy. That's when an idea popped into his mind.
"What if we had a family game night? Then he could stop worrying so much and we could all spend some time together." Taehyung suggested which caused his mother to smile. "Oh Taehyung that's a great idea! I'll talk about it with him after breakfast."
Taehyung smiled alongside his mother, taking a bite out of his toast which he just prepared. Yes he wanted his dad to take a break and start to relax more, but he also suggested the idea for himself. He thought it might be a way to take his mind off Jungkook for a while. He still told himself he was going to talk to him, but he thought he should try to avoid his feelings from getting ahead of him.
After some time passed, Taehyung was back in his room once again. It was currently seven PM. When he woke up he noticed right away that there was no message on Jungkook's window which again upset him but he knew he couldn't expect much. In fact he was probably calling his girlfriend.
He also figured Jungkook wasn't used to starting conversations since he was so popular meaning he didn't have to do that, so that's why Taehyung picked a paper up off of his desk and wrote a message.
"Hey kook." Taehyung wrote, not really knowing where the sudden nickname came from but he could care less at the moment. And as if it was on cue, once Taehyung placed the message up on his window he instantly received a small wave from Jungkook which caused Taehyung to break out into a smile.
Jungkook giggled to himself as he looked down at the paper he was currently writing on. He didn't think that Taehyung was going to start up a conversation but low and behold just as he was writing a message to the younger Taehyung put one up on his window.
"What's with the nickname?" Jungkook wrote. He didn't mean to sound cold, he just wanted to tease Taehyung but the brunette ended up taking it the wrong way which caused a frown to form on his beautiful face.
"Oh sorry that was really weird. I won't call you it again."
Jungkook smile turned into a frown once he realized that he probably hurt Taehyung. He could tell by now the boy was very sensitive and naïve.
"Oh no I wasn't trying to out you, I actually really like it." The raven haired wrote. He wasn't lying, for some reason he really.. really liked the nickname. He didn't even realize it but a blush started to form on his own cheeks, not even taking notice to it because he was too caught up in staring at Taehyung's face.
Taehyung copied Jungkook's actions as the same blush appeared on his own cheeks. He could see Jungkook's eyes staring at him like he was the only thing on the earth which made Taehyungs heart do something. He didn't even know why he was feeling like this because Jungkook was straight.
"You do?" The brunette hopefully wrote which caused another smile to break out on Jungkook's face.
"Yeah, I really like it. It's different than what other people call me. Usually I'm called 'the popular guy' or 'the guy with a hot girlfriend'. It feels good to be called something else." Jungkook sincerely wrote.
As much as he found the nickname cute, he also really appreciated it. Nobody ever took the time to come up with a nickname for him, even his girlfriend. He was just known as the hot popular guy with a hot girlfriend, people only wanted to be friends with him because of his popularity.
And as much as the nickname was just a very small gesture which probably meant nothing to Taehyung, it really did mean something to Jungkook. The fact that someone might want to be his friend for a reason other than his popularity.
And then Jungkook snapped out of it and went back to his usual stubborn self. Jesus Jungkook it's just a nickname, there isn't so much meaning behind it he told himself.
On the other side, Taehyung bit his lip as he looked down at the paper he was currently writing on.
"Well then, would you like me to call you that from now on?"
Jungkook looked up from his lap to see what Taehyung wrote, becoming excited as he uncapped his pen and began to write more.
"I would actually like that a lot." Jungkook bit the inside of his lip, placing the message on his window. He could see that Taehyung's box smile returned back to his face which he would admit that he missed.
"Okay then, kook." Taehyung giggled, smiling even wider once he saw Jungkook's eyes crinkle up which meant he was smiling as well.
Jungkook was just about to write a new message to the younger before his phone ringer blasted into his ears, causing the said male to return back to his usual annoyed poker face as he picked up the phone. He knew Taehyung could see he was on the phone so he didn't have to tell him anything.
"Hello?" Jungkook spoke into the phone, hearing a voice that ended up belonging to Namjoon. "Hey Jungkook, me and the boys are in the ally around the corner and across the street. Some hot chicks are also here too."
Jungkook widened his eyes, his gaze averting to Taehyung who had his eyes fixated on the older who was still on the phone.
"What the fuck Namjoon? Why?" Jungkook yelled into the device. "Dude it's so boring, you'd do the same too. Now get your ass over here you're missing out on the party. We brought bags of alcohol."
Jungkook leaned back into his chair as his eyes were still staring into Taehyung's. "Bro you know I can't leave, my dad won't let me out. Plus that's not safe, what if one of us got the corona virus?" Jungkook told. He for some reason didn't want to even leave, he honestly just wanted to stay in his room and talk to Taehyung all night.
"Oh come on Jungkook, don't be a pussy you know how to sneak out you're practically the master at it. And please, no one is going to get the corona virus. So just come over already all of the girls are asking where you are, when was the last time you had a fuck anyways?" Namjoon spoke into the phone, music from a speaker blasting in the background.
Jungkook sighed as he stood up from his chair, not wanting to argue with his friend anymore and just wanting to get it over with. Before he left he made sure to write Taehyung a last message.
"Hey sorry Tae, I gotta go but I'll talk to you later okay?"
Taehyung pouted. It was probably his girlfriend he thought to himself, about to write a message back before he heard his mom calling for him.
"Taehyung! Family game night!" The woman yelled which made the brunette sigh out in relief. Perfect timing he said to himself.
"Actually, I have to go too. Perfect timing haha, I'll talk to you later too kook."
Jungkook softly smiled at the sweet nickname once more before he left, Taehyung leaving his room as well.
