Heister: *into coms* Hans are you seeing this?
Zero: *over coms* Yeah you need to get down there, I've lost contact with them.
Heister: *into coms* Roger, Aussie come with me you 2 stay here!
We take off running back to the car, as soon as we're in I slam on the gas. The time flew by as we gunned it down side streets getting their quickly, I stopped when our way was blocked by cars and people fleeing the burning buildings. Gun shots echoed and people were screaming, me and Aussie got out of the car and ran towards the commotion.
Heister: *into coms* Hans do you have cams in the area?
Zero: *over coms* I hacked some CCTV from peoples houses, I can't see much tho. The masks are up the street from your position, be careful not to breath in any smoke it might be the chemical weapons.
Heister: *into coms* Roger!
Me and Aussie get up the street, there was a firing squad of 5 masks with LMG's. They were gunning civilians and causing chaos, me and Aussie got into cover as we fired taking them out quite quickly. We move up to the fresh corpses, we pass them and keep our eyes peeled as we head towards the other teams targeted building. The top of the building was smoking and gun shots were coming from inside, we went towards the building and kicked in the front door. We had to jump back as bullets pelted the door, I peeked the door seeing a white mask on the main stairs. He reloaded his weapon and took a stun grenade off his belt. As he pulled the pin I stepped inside and fired a round into his chest, as the stun dropped to the floor I stepped back outside the door. As the flash nearly deafened me Aussie went inside checking our corners, once my hearing came back I followed in behind her.
Aussie: Shooting is coming from upstairs.
We go up to the second level and then the third, we pushed towards the shooting to be greeted with the backs of many white masks. On the other side of them I could see our fellow operators, and it looks like there was alot of blood by them. Me and Aussie raised our weapons and firing squaded their asses, with a quick reload and a call out to the others we went over to them.
Heister: What in the fuck happened?
As we got over to them I could see Sledge and Cav were wounded, Sledge had a taken a a flesh wound to his left thigh well Cav had a large cut down her arm, probably from a knife.
Heister: Shit, your both gonna be fine, Aussie first aid kit.
She handed me her medium sized first aid kit she carries, I crack it open and dress Cav's wound since it looked worse.
Caveria: *groans* Careful imbecil it hurts!
Heister: Quiet it your fine.
Jackal had started to patch Sledge's shoulder, I finished wrapping Cav's arm.
Caveria: Thanks, how did it go at the statue?
Heister: We cleared the place of masks and charges, Nurse and Socket are holding it down.
Aussie: GET DOWN!
Aussie pushes us down into cover as bullets riddled the walls, we crawl into cover as the fire gets worse.
Aussie: 2 LMG'S!
Sledge: I got this!
He pulls the pin on the frag, after 2 seconds he tosses it and we hear a very scared mask yell.
WM: SHIT FRAG!
The frag goes off and as it does everyone not wounded fires on the fucks, once they were down we all took a quick breather.
Ash: Everyone good?
Caveria: I think so?
Jackal: All good.
Ash: Alright, did Legion go down easy?
Heister: Wait you didn't find him?
Ash: No we thought he was up at the statue.
Heister: For fucks sake. . . *into coms* Hans Legion is no where to be found, neither team located him. Anything on your feeds?
Zero: *over coms* Nein.
No.
Heister: *into coms* Ok shit, Nurse, Socket are you all good up there?
. . .
Heister: *into coms* Alex, Alice are you both ok?
. . .
Heister: Fuck, Aussie we gotta head back up there, somethings wrong.
Ash: I'll head with you, Jackal you get these 2 out of here.
Jackal: Understood.
Heister: Alright let's go, *into coms* Hans try to contact them, I have a bad feeling about this.
Zero: *over coms* Will do, just get up there as fast as you can.
I felt my heart racing, we ran all the way back to the car and I drove like a mad man back to the statue. Every second that went by I got more and more worried, as we did eventually get there I heard a helicopter. But the engine was just starting up, I guess I beat Ash's speed as I ran past her to the foot of the statue. A black chopper just had the blades spinning up, and infront of it. . . laid Alex and Alice.
Heister: N. . . no.
They laid face down in a pool of blood, I felt all the panic in my chest turn to rage. I ran towards the chopper, it had open sides with 2 people in the back, one I recognized as Legion. The other was an older man, he looked important. I shrugged this off as I ran and jumped towards the chopper as it started to take off, I grabbed onto the bottom of the chopper and it took off with me dangling from it. Even tho it was a minute it felt like an hour, I pulled myself up into the back of the chopper and took out my pistol. Legion kicked the gun out of my hand and then tried to kick me out of the chopper, I caught his leg and punched him across the face.
Heister: FUCK YOU!
I draw my knife and plunge it into his thigh, he roars with anger as he punches me. I grapple him and gave him a few shots in the ribs, he returns it with an elbow to the nose. I grab my knife in his leg and twist it, as he screamed I noticed the other man sitting their not giving a damn about us fighting. And if that was the case I might as well make the best of this, I stab him in his leg 5 more times making him scream with every attack. He built up enough rage to head but me disorientating me, he knocks my knife out of the chopper and punches me dead in the chest. With his uninjured leg he looks at me and cocks a smile as he kicks me dead in the chest sending me out of the chopper.
Heister: FFFFFUUUUUUCCCCCCKKKKKKK!
I accept my fate, I turn around looking to the place I shall plummet only to be met by the ocean. As I hit the water pain spreads throughout my body, I start stripping out of my gear as it tried to drown me. I manage to get to the surface of the water letting myself breathe, I look to the shore and head for it. As I end up making it to the shore I collapse on the sand, I felt tears running down my face.
Heister: *into coms* Hans. . . Alice and Alex are dead, we failed.
Time Skip: Back at Base, brought to you by pain and suffering
Frost POV
I was distraught, I heard something went wrong on the op Y/n went out on. I waited by the elevator for him to come down, I heard his heli coming in so I ran here to great him. As the doors opened and he walked out I felt my heart sink, Alice and Alex were missing. As he walked towards me I put my hand on his chest, he calmly took my hand and pulled it off of him. His eyes were tired and I knew what had happened, his voice was weak as he told me.
Heister: Please Tina, not now.
I moved aside and let him pass, I knew he wasn't alright, but I don't think he would let me help him. As everyone went by Eliza stopped and waited till everyone was gone, she put a hand on my shoulder and said.
Ash: Tina, Alice and Alex were killed. Legion shot them both in the back of the head, Legion got away and I think Y/n is blaming himself. I think he might need some time, I thought I should let you know.
Frost: Thanks Eliza.
She nodded and then walked away, I looked down at my feet unsure what to do next. I knew what Y/n was going through, losing 2 people that close to you. But I still don't know how to comfort him, there is no way to help him, or so I think. This kind of pain is the worst kind, not being able to see their face without seeing their blood covering their face. Not being able to imagine their smile without hearing their screams, it's the cost of the fray, and we all pay it eventually.
