"Blake."

"Blake." Blair hissed again into the early morning light as it streamed through their bus window.

"Hm?" He asked, his eyes still closed and his arms wrapped protectively over her.

"Let me up, I have to go to the rest room." She said, squirming under the weight of his arm. Sitting up was hard enough as it was at this point his arms weight was only making the task more difficult.

Blake didn't respond, his breathing even and his eyes closed.

Blair huffed and pushed at his arm until she freed herself, rolling up into a seated potion and pushing herself up before making the short walk to the bus bathroom.

When she returned only a moment later Blake was sitting up, rubbing at his eyes groggily.

"Now you wake up." She said with a teasing smile.

"Sorry." he said in his morning voice with a yawn, stretching as his shirt slipped up revealing his tone abdomen. Blair couldn't help but stare, he was so gorgeous and he was hers.

"Can you believe it's the last day of tour?" She asked him, retaking her place in their bed.

"Seems like it flew by and dragged on simultaneously." He said and she nodded her agreement.

"It's been the weirdest touring experience of my life but I'm really glad I got to see you and my fans and that I didn't just sit at home twiddling my thumbs and waiting for Bayler while you were on the road. I think that would have literally killed me."

"I don't know if I'd have made it through the tour without you here with me. I'd have missed you too much." He said opening his arms as he laid back down beside her and pulled her against his chest.

His hands trailed down to her belly, tracing shapes across the stretched skin and sending shivers up her spine.

Blair felt the baby kick at Blake's hand and she smiled.

"Already her daddy's girl." She beamed.

Blake leaned closer and pecked her lips.

"Next time we go on tour we're gonna have a little stow away." He smiled and she couldn't help but laugh.

"You think she'll like music?" She pondered and he arched his eyebrows.

"With us as parents?" He chuckled. "I feel like if she doesn't it'll be a sign we've like severely fucked up."

"I'll support her in whatever she wants of course, but damn, I just can't see her being around us and our life and not having some kind of at least admiration for it, even if it's not like what she wants to do with her life. You know?"

Blair nodded because she did know.

"What time is your soundcheck?" He asked her, his voice soft, both of them still in the midst of their waking up process.

"Ughhh" Blair groaned as she tried to remember. "Three...I think?" She said, sounding unsure.

"That's probably right mine is at four." She nodded and curled into his chest as best she could with her large bump between them.

"GPS says we still have about an hour until we get to the venue, that'll be around ten. You wanna go back to sleep until we get there and then go for brunch? I can make us a reservation some where."

"That sounds good." She replied, her eyes already growing heavy again, her body agreeing with the extra hour of sleep nicely.

"So where are we eating at?" Blair questioned, looking over to Blake as they watched the Seattle streets pass by outside their Uber.

"Some place called 'The Rooster' it had really good reviews and a full brunch menu." He shrugged returning his attention to his phone. He'd been furiously typing away on it since they'd gotten into the car and she was growing a bit concerned.

"Everything okay?" She asked, trying to mask the apprehension she was feeling with her voice.

"Just our management."

"Something wrong?" She pressed.

"They're pushing for us to tour again starting in January." He did little to hide his unhappiness with the situation.

"Well, that wouldn't be so bad. Bayler will be a few months old by then. We could make it work. Who would you be touring with?"

"Doesn't matter, B. I promised you a year with no tours after she was born. I intend to keep my promise."

"Who's the tour with?" She asked again.

He looked out the window, carefully avoiding her eyes.

"Who?" She asked, hitting his forearm playfully.

"You're gonna be mad." He said and she narrowed her eyes. "Mad as in jealous we have this opportunity."

"Who?" She asked again.

"Blink-182."

"You're fucking joking." She exclaimed and he laughed shaking his head.

"Nope. We'd be a support act but I mean, fuck."

"You're not passing up that opportunity." Blair said seriously.

"B,"

"Don't B me." She said holding up her hand. I don't want to hear it. Call Alex and tell him you'll make it happen. Me and Bayler might just tag along. It'll all work out. You're going." She gave him no time or chance to protest as they arrived at the restaurant, opening the door and struggling her way out.

"You can argue with me later. Right now I want pancakes." She informed him, stepping into the restaurant and giving their last name the hostess escorting them to a private room.

"What are you gonna have?" She asked him, peering over her menu, his eyes amused but somehow still hard staring back at her.

"So tonight is the last show of this tour." Blake said into his microphone as he prepared to introduce Blair for their duet for the last time. "For a while I was concerned that this part of the tour might not happen. Much to Blair's dismay she is still pregnant though." He laughed. "But that's good for us and you guys because we have successfully made it to tonight. I hope you've had a blast, I've got a few more songs and for this next one I'm going to invite my gorgeous wife on stage with me. Please welcome Mrs. Blair Everett!"

The crowd screamed as loud as they had all night as Blair made her way to center stage to join Blake.

"Hi gorgeous." He said, taking her hand and helping her get situated on her stool before placing a kiss to her cheek.

"So, like I was saying tonight is so special to us because this is our last show before we welcome our little girl into the world. We are so excited to meet her and to share her with all of you." The crowd squealed and awwed.

"So, for the last time as non-parents this is Shake It Out." He introduced as the boys began to play the first notes.

Blair tried to take it all in. The sound of the crowd singing back to them, the feeling of being onstage, the high she got from performing. She tried to relish it and hoped it would carry her through until the next time she would have this opportunity.

She sang her final line to Blake, a rogue tear escaping her eye as he pulled her into his chest and kissed the top of her head as the crowd roared. He grabbed her hand and escorted her to the stage steps, kissing her quickly before returning to the stage to close out the show.

When the last note rang out and the lights dimmed for the final time he stood silently on the stage for a moment and realized that though he was taking a step back from this stage, he was about to take a huge step forward onto the stage of life.

He'd done all he could, now there was nothing left to do except to load up and ship out back home to Los Angeles. To head home and await the arrival of the daughter that only a few years ago he'd doubted he'd ever want, with the girl of his dreams he never had expected to find.
