Several days went by, Royce hadn't given up. He was terribly hurt but he still loved his best friend. He was desperate and wanted nothing more than to hear the truth, even willing to look past the mistakes but Nathan stayed shut, giving him the silent treatment.
Royce tried talking to him, tried to leave the class fast enough to catch up with him but it seemed Nathan really wanted to take a different path.

Nathan continued to ignore him.
Royce gave up.

The pain eventually turned into anger, so much that sometimes Royce had trouble breathing. His nights weren't peaceful anymore. He often found physical pain in his chest, wheezing loudly and coughing occasionally.

Royce had his first anxiety attack after a horrible nightmare. He wasn't just freaking out, he literally couldn't breathe and he felt as if his lungs would explode any minute.
He was diagnosed with asthma after being hospitalised for three days.

They both moved on with pent up feelings hidden under the shade.
They weren't meant to last.
