Everything is dark. There's pressure all over your body. A stabbing pain in your side. You can feel deep cuts all over yourself. They sting and blood leaks from them.

You try and move your head, to look around, but you can't.

Clem: Y/N! Get up!

You: Clem?

Clem: Yes, wake up! You've been asleep for too long.

You: What are you talking about?

Clem: I want to go eat, but I don't want to go alone.

You: Clem? Am I blind? I can't see.

Clem: Of course you can't.

You: Clem, what's happening?

Clem: You're hallucinating again. This time you made me nice! Thank goodness.

You: What's happening?

Clem: You're buried under a building. Don't you remember?

The last thing you remember is the explosions that Cayde set off.

Clem: Maybe you can dig out.

You try and move, but fail. You yell as you try your hardest to get out.

You: Damn it!

Clem: You'll be fine, Y/N. You have to be. For me.

You: I promise.

You try pushing again, and to your surprise you hear some debris fall off. You're making progress. You keep pushing. More and more falling off of you. You can feel the weight leaving your body.

You see light. The sun has started to rise.

Cayde: Oh look! I dug you up!

He clears away some more of the debris from your body, and you realize the entire time. You weren't pushing. You didn't do anything. You can hardly move. Your whole right side feels like it's on fire. Did you imagine everything?

Cayde: Holy shit! You look rough!

You: F- fuck you.

You try to apply some pressure to the screwdriver in your side, but you can't reach it.

Cayde: Look at me, new guy. I want to see the life drain from your eyes.

You look up at him. His head is bleeding, and blood runs down his face. Other than that, he's only a little dirty. He made it out almost unscathed.

Cayde: I can't believe you're still alive. I was trying to dig my way out and found you. That Brooklyn girl is over there. Can't tell if she's dead.

It takes a lot to move your head enough to see her body half buried under the rubble. She's fine. She has to be.

Clem: Y/N!

Clem's POV...

Javier: You can't go in there!

I don't care. If Y/N isn't out here, then he's in there. He's risked his life so much for me. I have to help him.

The explosion ruined the entire building. Was it an accident, or was it on purpose?

Me: Y/N!

I can't help but let a few tears slip out. He's died on me more times than I can count. This time, I'm going to make sure I can kill him myself... Right after I hug him.

Me: Brooklyn!

Maybe she's in here somewhere.

Your POV...

Cayde: Ohp, I can hear your girlfriend getting closer. I need to make this quick.

He pulls out a pistol and aims it at you.

Cayde: Listen, it's nothing personal. You just really scare the shit out of me. Kind of have to put you down.

Me: D-do it.

Cayde: No begging? Man! I wish you would. I guess with how much you just struggled there. D-do it. You probably can't.

You stare down the barrel of his gun. That's the bullet, that will finally kill you. You just wish it would have came before you met Clementine. Before you had a reason to live.

Cayde: Alright, it's been fun man. Good job, you did great.

You close your eyes and wait. There's a gunshot and you tense up as much as you can.

Clem's POV...

I get to the other side of some rubble and see Cayde standing over Y/N. He has a pistol aimed at him. He already looks like he could die at any minute.

Cayde: Alright, it's been fun man.

I fumble for my pistol.

Cayde: Good job, you did great.

I aim for his chest. I want him to turn. To suffer.

I pull the trigger and he stumbles back, until he collapses to the floor.

Clem: Y/N!

Your POV...

Clem: Y/N!

You open your eyes. Cayde isn't there anymore.

Clem: Y/N!

You see Clementine kneel down next to you. You smile.

You: Hi Clem.

She's crying.

Clem: Are you ok?

You: I am now. It's nice having you save me for a change.

Clem: Stop joking.

You: I wanted to see you smile.

Clem's POV...

I did that with Aj... When I thought I was going to die. I smile at him.

Y/N: Th-there it is.

Me: You're going to be fine.

Y/N: Probably.

I start to cry. He reaches up, with what I'm assuming is all the strength he can muster, and puts his hand on my cheek. Wiping away some of my tears.

Y/N: How about you go ahead, get Brooklyn, and get out of here?

Me: You're coming too.

He laughs.

Y/N: I can't really move. I d-don't know what happened... but it sucks.

Clem: I can carry you.

Y/N: I'm sure you can.

He closes his eyes, and his hand falls from my face.

Clem: Y/N?

Fuck.

Javier: Clem?

I don't say anything. I just stare at Y/N, hoping he wakes up.

Javier: Clem!

I can hear him coming over to me.

Javier: Oh god.

I turn to him.

Clem: Ca-Can you carry him out of here?

Javier: Yeah, yeah.

Clem: Brooklyn is right there too. Y-you should come back for her.

He is already grabbing Y/N, being very careful with his movements.

Javier: Ok. You head out of here. Ok?

Clem: I'm staying with you until you put Y/N down.

He looks like he wants to tell me no.

Javier: Ok.

Your POV...

Clem: Y/N?

You look down to see Clementine laying on your chest.

You: Yeah?

Clem: I love you.

You smile at her.

You: I love you too.

Clem: I can't imagine what my life would be without you.

You: Me either.

Clem: You wanna get married?

You: What?

She shoots up and looks at you.

Clem: I think we should get married.

You: Woah, Clem! I don't know, don't you think that's a little quick? I don't know much about this, but it seems too quick.

Clem: We've been through so much together though.

You: Yeah...

You think about it.

You: I guess you're right.

Clem: Then let's do it!

You smile. You love seeing her so happy.

You: Ok.

Clem: You have to ask me.

You: But you just asked me?

Clem: You have to ask me now.

You: Ok? Clementine, wi-

Clem: You have to get on a knee.

You let out a sigh, and get up. You kneel down to one knee.

You: Clementine,-

Clem's POV...

Javier has gone back in the building to get Brooklyn. Ruby has started doing some makeshift repairs to Y/N before we leave this place.

He's smiling... Y/N is smiling... Why is he smiling? He's dying... He doesn't still want to die does he? That's so selfish!

Ruby: Clem! Come hold this towel on his open wound from the screwdriver once we get him in the back of the Van.!

Me: Ok.

I won't let you die. Even if you want to.
