Nick's POV
I death glare Joe as he walks in the bathroom for the one hundred time.
" He must drink a lot of water " Mason mumbles obviously knowing that's not the case.
I stare down the door for like two minutes until I say fuck it and get up. I grab a penny from my dresser and unlock the door and walk in.
" What'd you do? " I ask Joe who's just sitting on the bathroom floor with his head on the wall, looking at the ceiling.
" Nothing " he says with no emotion in his voice at all. He usually only speaks like that when he's having a depression episode.
" Stand up uce " I hear. I turn around and see Josh, one of Joe's cousins.
Joe doesn't listen so Josh groans and pulls his sleeves up forcefully. I look at Joe shocked when there's no cuts.
" Are you done? " Joe ask again with no emotion.
Me, Mason and Josh just look at each other wondering if this mother fucker switched up so he wouldn't get caught.
" I'm going to Colby " we hear Joe then watch him walk out the hotel.
" Uhh text Colby? " Josh says but more like suggest it.
I pull out my phone quickly.
Me: pretty sure Joe having a episode
Colby: how bad?
Me: bad
Me: we looked at his arms and nothing was there but he keeps walking in the bathroom and walking out minutes later
Colby: I'll check him he just walked in
Me: ok let me know
I hear Josh laugh making me look at him questioning.
" Remember when you and Colby wanted to kill each other? " He ask.
I scoff at him and lay down on Mason.
" Now look at you two, detectives on Joe's life "
Colby's POV
I put my phone down as Joe walks in and face plants himself on the bed.
" Mood " I say. Because honestly, I felt that on a spiritual level.
" It's bright " he complains making me chuckle. He hates any form of light. Even just light from a tv. He hates it.
I grab the tv remote turning it off then turn off both lamps making it completely pitch black.
" Better? " I ask after a couple minutes of not talking. He's definitely having an episode.
An episode is a depression episode. Which can either be not speaking words for hours or it can be not eating, eating too much, sleeping, not sleeping, staring blankly at nothing, excessive crying.
And it can last for several non stop days or weeks, even months.
He doesn't answer he just pulls the blanket over his head. When that doesn't work he grabs the pillow and holds it on his head.
I guess that like stops him from thinking about certain things? I don't know. He tried explaining it his last episode. His last episode only lasted three days so we'll see about this one.
I go to grab his hand when I see him digging his nails into his palm but stop myself.
I have to be cautious with certain actions when he's having an episode. Sometimes if I touch him he freaks out and it scares him. Sometimes it helps.
" Want the ball? " I ask him.
The ball is a stress ball. He has like six of them. All different colors. The colors mean something I just haven't figured them all out yet.
He nods his head so I get up slowly and go to the crate.
" Color? " I ask and sit down because usually when he has a episode it takes a couple minutes for him to respond to things that are said.
" Red " he says fast which I jump up and grab him the red one quick because his breathing started to get heavier.
He squeezes it as soon as I hand him it.
I don't know what red means. I just know the blue is for panic and anxiety attacks.
I take out my phone and text Nick.
Me: what's the red ball mean?
Nick: 911
Nick: why?
Me: well what the fuck does 911 mean?
Nick: basically that he's going to kill himself
Nick: did he ask for the red ball?
Me: uh yes!
Nick: don't leave the room and don't let him leave alone
Me: how serious is the red ball?
Nick: from a scale of 1-10
Nick: 100000000000
Me: worst of them all?
Nick: absolutely yes
Me: what helps?
Nick: depends what's causing the episode
Me: I don't know what's causing it
Nick: me either
I sigh and put my phone down and look at Joe. He's just squeezing the ball still and still has the pillow over his head.
I slowly bring my hand and touch his arm making him jump so I quickly move my arm.
He releases his tight ass hold on the ball and sets it next to him without moving anything other then his arm.
He stays still for about ten minutes until I slowly lower myself into a laying position.
It can scare him if I move a certain way so I stay cautious about that too.
He grabs my hand quickly kinda scaring me a bit.
" Why are you scared of me? "
I open my eyes and look at him to see he's staring dead at me. Guess he took the pillow off his head.
" I'm not " I tell him slowly.
You have to talk slowly and quietly when he's having an episode or else he gets freaked out.
" Yeah you are " he says as his eyes get darker.
When his eyes get darker it usually means he's angry.
" No, I'm just trying not to startle you " I assure him because I'm not scared of him.
His eyes slowly go back to their normal shade.
I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding because sometimes it scares me when his eyes get darker.
I'm soon picked up and slammed on the bed making me scream.
" What!? " I hear Jon yell as he runs in the room with a gun.
Joe snickers and puts his face in my neck laughing. That makes me laugh and Jon lowers his gun so it isn't pointing at us.
" Are you good? " Jon ask slowly which I'm guessing Nick or someone texted him about Joe's episode.
" I don't know why he did that " I chuckle and yawn.
" Do what? " Jon ask confused.
" He picked me up and slammed me on the bed "
" Is that why you screamed like a bitch? " Jon ask me with a laugh after as I nod.
I gasp as I feel teeth on my neck. Jon cringes, gags, and leaves making me laugh.
" Why you do that? " I ask Joe going back to talking cautiously.
" You were scared " he mumbles.
" No, I just don't like when your eyes do that " I tell him truthfully. It creeps me out a bit.
" Do what? " he ask me after licking a spot he bit.
" You don't know? " I ask him furrowing my eyebrows.
" This? " he ask then looks at me and his eyes go darker.
" You can do that shit on command? " I ask closing my eyes because why the fuck can he do that?
He just hums and I open my eyes.
He smirks a little then it disappears.
" Why you smirk? " I ask him.
All of a sudden his eyes go red making me jump.
" Huh!? " I yell now scared.
" Shh loud " he shushes me.
" Told you, you were scared " he speaks after a couple seconds.
" They turned red " I say
" Mhmm " he hums staring at my lips.
" H-how? " I stutter
" The medicines I take make them able to do that " he tells me. That makes me calm down a bit because that makes sense. He takes various of different medicine prescribed to him because of his depression, anxiety, couple eating disorders. Stuff like that.
His eyes go darker again then back to normal then red.
" Stop " I tell him.
He smirks then it goes away again.
Why's he keep doing that?
He makes his eyes go back to his normal color then they go darker which I'm sure he can't control that part because they did that before he started taking this medication.
Before I can process it he's biting my neck again.
" Is this part of your episode? " I ask bucking my hips. Then cursing myself because I'm supposed to be cautious with my movements.
He doesn't answer but stops. I let out a breath. Ugh now I'm going to have to cover my neck up.
What if he's like turning into a vampire or something?
Ok ok let me stop being stupid.
But like could he be a vampire?
I yelp when I feel bites at my neck again.
He puts his hand over my mouth.
" Shh loud " he shushes me then moves his hand.
He grabs my jaw making me open my eyes and look at him. He turns his eyes red and I close my eyes again.
I'm assuming he's trying to get me not to be creeped out about that but it's not working. He's a vampire.
I feel a bite at my lip making me groan. I can't tell if he's still in his episode or not.
His hand slowly goes in my shirt making my breathing stop because I seriously can't tell if this is his episode and that's what's scaring me.
" Fuck! " I yell bucking my hips as he fucks with my nipple.
He laughs knowing he's being a little asshole.
I moan and scratch his back making him growl at me.
He bites down on my neck hard enough to draw blood.
" Fuck you " I whine as he slams his hips down on mine.
Definitely his episode still.
Nick's POV
I walk in Colby's hotel. Nobody's in the dinning room or kitchen and all the lights are off so I'm assuming everyone is asleep.
I texted Colby about two hours ago asking how Joe was and didn't receive a response so now I'm here to see if Joe's ok.
I walk to Colby's room and open the door slowly because from what I know with Joe's episodes you have to be slow about everything.
I quickly close the door after seeing them.. They're- he's fine.
I gag loudly making them laugh. Glad they thought that was funny.
Jon walks out his room and looks at me smirking.
" Walked in on the nasty didn't you? " He ask me.
I nod and go to the sink puking a bit.
" Didn't you hear it first? " He ask me. I shake my head no.
" He learned to be quiet " I say making him laugh.
" Not true I heard it earlier and booked it to my room "
" How long ago was that? " I ask because it seemed like nobody's been out here for at least three hours.
" Couple hours ago "
I spit my water into the sink.
" They last that long? " I ask genuinely curious.
He laughs.
" I think I don't know " he tells me laughing.
" Should get that shit checked out " I mumble making him laugh again.
" Fuck! " We hear Colby's loud ass.
" Welp I'm leaving " I say and walk out. Gross.
Colby's POV
Poor Nick. Poor poor Nick.
Not an easy sight to walk in on.
I still think it was funny though and it happened like five hours ago.
" Are you awake? " Joe ask me.
" Yes " I say looking at him. He's still in his episode it just isn't as bad as it was.
" Huggies " he smiles making me laugh. I crawl next to him.
I taught him some of my baby lingo.
I'm an odd man ok?
" I'm tired "
" Me too " I tell him.
( A/N sorry for the shorter chapter I have writers block :( this has been in my drafts for 3 days now because I can't think of anything. Hopefully I figure it out soon it really sucks)
