The following two days, Donghyuck kept on going to his normal classes with Jaemin, Xiaojun and Yangyang. He decided to ignore Mark for a while and stay away from him when they would be spotted in public.
Of course some wizards would make sure to talk about him in class so he would hear them, but his three friends, especially Jaemin, made sure to shut their mouths.
He was grateful that he's best friend didn't leave him just because he couldn't be able to serve Satan and be a normal wizard and Yangyang, along with Xiaojun, understood as well.
"You know," Yangyang started as they were eating lunch that day. "It doesn't feel so special being immoral tho."
Hearing that, Jaemin sighed and slapped his shoulder.
"He was born immortal you idiot."
Donghyuck chuckled and watched the two bicker.
"I know that Nana! I'm just saying, I thought it would feel different."
"I don't know but sometimes, I think you really are pretending to be stupid."
Yangyang sent a glare to Xiaojun who just shook his head and continued eating while ignoring his complaints.
"I'm a genius my friend, not stupid. I'm a fucking genius."
Xiaojun sighed and watching the small scene before his eyes, made Donghyuck chuckle. He felt normal again, for some seconds, he felt like the old himself. Sadly, the feeling disappeared when a tall werewolf slammed his fist right before his eyes.
His breath tickled the top of his head and Donghyuck became small. The werewolf giggled.
"Johnny wants to meet you."
He remembered the name, Mark told him that Johnny was the leader of his pack.
"Now."
The werewolf backed away and Donghyuck stood up. He hoped that not everybody was watching this small scene and he looked around.
Some wizards were looking from his table along with some werewolves from their table. The rest didn't bother to look as no one cared now because most of the students were now friends with each other.
The wizard looked up and recognized Lucas, the werewolf with whom Mark fought before his baptism. He didn't say anything and he followed him and the other tall werewolf behind.
"I'm Doyoung." The werewolf said and stretched out a hand which Donghyuck didn't take.
"I know."
Doyoung chuckled and looked at Lucas who smirked.
"Why does he want to see me?"
The two werewolves looked at each other for some moments and said nothing until Lucas sighed and decided it would be the best to reply.
"He's not the only one who wants to see you." He started and Donghyuck fastened his steps to reach him. "The principals wants too along with some weird looking wizard."
The High Priest was there as well. Donghyuck's heart was racing. Was he going to be punished? Was the priest going to send him to a trial with Satan himself? Was Satan going to decide his fate?
The wizard had to calm down and he tried his best to look as if nothing happened. The three of them reached the tall door of Jaehyun's office and when Lucas pushed it wide open, Donghyuck saw not only the priest, but his parents there as well.
What were they doing here? Dark thoughts started filling his head. Were they going to be punished instead of him?
"Donghyuck." Taeyong's voice, who was sitting behind Jaehyun, made him snap out of it.
He looked at the demon and saw his small understanding smile that formed his lips.
"Have a seat." Jaehyun pointed at a chair next to where his parents were sitting so he made his way there and sat down in silence.
"Shall we begin?" The high priest asked and Jaehyun nodded.
Shouldn't Mark be there as well? He looked around, but only Lucas, Doyoung and their leader, Johnny were there. Did he have this meeting already or perhaps he'll be called later?
"It's interesting how this school has its own tradition. Two creatures of the night with angel blood once lived here."
Jaehyun chuckled and took a sip from a red drink which Donghyuck knew it was pure blood.
"They still live Father Eunhyuk."
The priest smirked coldly but nodded.
"Indeed they are."
It took Donghyuck some moments to realize the meaning. Jaehyun had angel blood too which meant that Taeyong, who was always beside him, was the other creature of night.
"But we didn't have the angel's power." Taeyong added and the adults from the room all agreed.
The young wizard looked at his mom. She caught her steal a glance from his father and they looked like talking, but not with words.
"We should, perhaps, ask the parents." Johnny spoke from his place at the fire place and stared deeply at Donghyuck's parents. "I'm sure they know more about this."
But what if they don't know? Donghyuck wanted to ask this simple yet complicated question, but he kept his mouth shut, thinking that maybe it was better not to interfere.
His mom stood up and bowed her head before the principal.
"We do indeed." She said and looked down at her son whose heart started beating faster.
Taeyong circled Jaehyun's desk and walked smoothly in her direction. He smiled at her, he remembered her as one of the students from years ago.
"You are keeping a secret right?"
The demon touched her shoulder with his pale hand.
"That secret perhaps."
What was he talking about? Donghyuck wanted to tell him to get his hand off of her shoulder, but when he met his father's gaze he held himself back.
In his surprise, his mom nodded.
"Now this explains a lot."
Taeyong went back to Jaehyun and whispered something into his ear which made the vampire choke with his blood. His eyes landed in his mom and Donghyuck became small too. He was afraid.
"Tell them."
Her eyes landed on her son. Regret filled them along with sadness. What did she hide for such long time?
"I... I mean we..." She was referring to his father as well. "We... We found him eighteen years ago. I believe his parents were both angels, or one of them had wizard blood too because he has powers just like us. I made a spell, to color his blood in red. I thought it will last until he'll be an adult, but I was wrong. "
Donghyuck was only able to stare. Was his mom really telling the truth? Was this the worst nightmare he ever lived?
"We thought he might be able to live like one of us." It was his father's turn to speak. "Clearly we were wrong about this as well."
No one spoke for a while. Donghyuck didn't know what happened, but he suddenly stood up. Tears were falling down his cheeks, but he didn't wipe them away.
He pushed his mom away and stormed out of the office. Where could he go? Then it hit him. The rooftop. There he could cry alone and hide from the others, there no one could find him.
