You walk into Aj's room behind Clementine.
You: Are you sure eating right now is a good idea?
Clem: I'm sure that you made sure it was all taken care of. We might as well.
You see some choices of food. The same choices as in the cafeteria.
You: Where'd you get all this food Aj?
Aj: I don't know. Wade got it.
You: Where is Wade?
Aj: He left early this morning. Said his parents and him had a meeting with um... Ca- Cay...
You: Cayde.
Aj: Yeah!
You: He's dead...
Aj: What?
Clem: Did he die during the attack?!
You: What? Oh, right. No, I was just... Thinking about something.
Clem: That caused you to say he's dead?
You: Yeah?
Aj: Is he alright then.
You: No.
You: Yeah, I'm sure he's fine.
Aj: Good.
Aj jumps onto his bed and sits on the edge.
Aj: What happened?
You: Olympians came looking.
Aj: I hate them.
Clem: Me too.
You: Shouldn't have to worry about them anymore. Ate was here. Killed her, and the rest of her goons. They also had another Ares. Dude was the guy who shot my arm. I enjoyed killing him.
Clem: Hey! Don't say that.
You: Dude ruined my arm.
Aj: Yeah, he deserved it.
Clem: Doesn't mean you need to enjoy killing him.
You: This is one of the rare instances that I did enjoyed killing.
Aj: Who else did you enjoy killing?
Clem: Quit.
You: Thanatos, Heracles, Ate-
Clementine steps on your foot with her steel one.
You: Ow! Alright!
Aj starts laughing at you.
You: You're lucky she won't do that to you.
Aj: Uh hu.
Clementine is picking her food from the table they're sat on.
Clem: Aj, what do you want?
Aj: I don't know. I'll get something.
Clem: Alright. Y/N you should try the burger.
You: Um... No... It's probably cold anyway.
Clem: Microwave...
She points at it.
You: I don't want human meat.
Aj: What?!
Clem: He's joking.
You: Nope...
You whisper under your breath.
Clem: I'll eat the salad if you eat the burger.
You: No.
Clem: Please.
You: Why are you begging ME to eat it?
Clem: I really want to try the salad.
You: It sucks.
Clem: Y/N.
You: Take it. I don't have to eat.
Clem: Fine I won't eat it.
You: It's fine. I used to not eat for days at a time. I'll live.
Clem: You're too stubborn.
You: Oh well.
She grabs the salad and sits down in a chair. She takes a bite and you can see the instant regret in her face.
You: Told you it was gross.
Clem: It's fine.
You: Suuurrre it is.
There's a knock at the door.
Aj: I got it.
You race to the door behind him. You don't trust anyone, but the Richmond group in this community. There's a likely chance it is not an Ex-Richmond member.
Aj turns the knob and starts to open the door, but you put your hand on the door and prevent it from opening. He gives you a confused look.
Aj: What?
You: I got it.
Aj: It's my room?
You: Go sit down.
Clem: Come eat Aj.
You guess she saw how worried you are, and decided to help.
Aj: Fine.
They knock on the door again. You open it and see Ikora, Cayde, and someone else you don't recognize.
Cayde: New Guy! What are you doing here?!
You: What are you doing here?
Unknown: Sorry to interrupt, but we came to get all the things that belonged to Mr. Wade.
You: And who the hell are you?
Unknown: Sorry, I am Zavala. Wade passed during the... incident.
Aj: What?!
You hear Aj run over.
Aj: What happened?!
Zavala: Wade and his family were shot during the attack. They were trying to hide and unfortunately they were found.
Aj: Oh no.
You give Cayde a cold look. He just smiles at you.
Cayde: Cheer up buddy! We won! Thanks to you.
You: Mhm.
Ikora: If you can get his stuff, we should be going.
You: He didn't have anything.
You lie to get them away as soon as possible.
Zavala: Right. Sorry to bother you.
They turn and walk away. You shut the door and follow them out into the hallway.
You: Cayde!
They stop and turn around.
You: Can I speak with you?
Cayde: Sure pal.
He leaves the other two who walk on without him.
Cayde: Gotta make this quick.
You: You killed them.
Cayde: More of an alleviated their pain kind of thing.
You: What the fuck's the point?
Cayde: They were useless.
You: So you killed a kid?
Cayde: You need to stop, before I put a bullet in you.
You: Right.
Cayde: Good.
You: Would you have killed Aj had I not been here?
Cayde: ... I'll leave that to the imagination.
He would have. You stare at him, not saying a word.
Cayde: Is there a problem?
You: No.
Cayde: Good.
He turns and walks away. You watch him walk down and out of the hall before re-entering the room.
Clementine is on the bed hugging Aj. He must be bummed.
Clem: What was that?
You: Nothing. Just needed to ask a few questions.
Clem: About?
You: We'll talk about it later.
Clem: Alright.
You: Hey Aj.
Aj: Yeah.
He looks up at you. You can see depression in his gaze.
You: You want to share a room with us now?
Aj: No way! I want to be responsible.
You: I think you should stay with us.
Aj: No!
Clementine is squinting her eyes at you.
Clem: Yeah Aj. It's better if you stay with us. Never go alone.
Aj: But we're safe?
Clem: The rule still applies.
Aj: But!.. Fine...
You: I'll sleep on the floor.
Clem: He'll be fine.
Aj: Yeah, it's your room.
He says in a whiny voice.
Clem: Can, we talk?
She looks at you. You nod. She gets up and leads you to the bathroom. She shuts the door behind her. Blocking it to keep it from being opened.
Clem: What's wrong? I thought we moved past the whole not trusting these people thing?
You: Never said that. I said I wouldn't die.
Clem: But what's wrong?
You: I've found a few things out today.
Clem: Like?
You: I found that Cayde guy killing and innocent family. Then he had a meeting with Wade, and Cayde killed him.
Clem: Do you know that?
You: Yeah, I asked him. Then he wouldn't tell me whether he would have killed Aj if I wasn't here.
Clem: That fucker... But it's just one guy.
You: He's one of the leaders.
Clem: Shit. I don't know. That might not reflect everyone.
You: We'll see. But you should be careful.
Clem: Yeah. It's probably best Aj stays with us.
You: Yeah.
Clem: Thank you.
You: For?
Clem: Worrying about Aj.
You: Why wouldn't I?
Clem: I don't know.
You: I like the kid, so...
Clem: Good.
She walks forward and pulls you down for a kiss. Before you connect there's a knock on the bathroom door.
Aj: What are you guys doing in there?
Clem: Talking Aj!
Aj: About what?
Clem: Nothing!
Aj: You aren't doing that!
You: Let's go back out there.
Clem: But...
You walk past her and open the door. Aj stands there looking at you two. He already looks over his friend's death.
Clementine goes to walk by you with an annoyed look on her face. You stop her and quickly peck her on the lips.
