"Good morning, ready for your first day of work atnyour new job?" Karen asked as she took a sip of her coffee.
"I'd be lying if I said I'm not nervous, but other than that.... yes I guess Iam."
"Take a deep breath and breathe; you'll be fine," Luke told her as he took a seat at the end of the table.
"Guess I'd better make a move. Thanks for watching Skyanne for me. I hope to be home by 6. Can you please make sure Skyanne does her chores and has a bath by 5pm? "
"Not a problem. Have a good day and we will see you laater on," Luke answered.
Twenty minutes later, Sally-Ann parked the corvette out the front of Freeman's, locked it and headed on inside. Walking into the building, she was greeted by Mr Horn. " Morning, ready for your first day of work here at Freeman's? " he asked.
"Sure am," she smiled. " Great,now let's get you down to the hair and make-up department shall we, than get you started on your first layout for the day. Please follow me," he said leading the way.
"Niles, this is Sally-Ann Neil, the new girl I was telling you about."
"Hi welcome aboard," he said extending his hand out for her to shake. "Please to meet you," she said shaking his hand.
"Same, your gojng to love it here darl, we're all a friendly bunch. Now take a seat and we'll get started."
"I'll leave you you to it then. Once your finished, Niles will take you over to meet Tony and he'll explan what needs to be done. I hope you enjoy your first day here, and welcome aboard Miss Neil," Mr Horn siad heading back to his office.
Half an hour later, Sally-Anns hair and make-up was done and Nikes walked her over to her first photo shoot.
"Tony, this is the new girl Sally-Ann Neil, Sally-Ann this is our camera man Tony." "Pleas to met you Miss Neil. We' e got so much to do today in a very short time frame, so let's get started shall we," Tony said grabbing his equipment.
Click,click, click went the camera. "Thats it, hold that pose....beautiful, just beautiful, " he said snapping away on his camera.
"Love that pose sweetheart, hold it right there," he said moving his camera aroundnin all different angles and snapping away.
They worked on sleepwear, swim wear,the latest fashion and summer wear before Tony called it a wrap and asked Sally-Ann to join him for lunch as away to welcome her aboard.
Driving towards a little cafe o Maybell street Tony asked," So tell me what got you into modeling and how long have you being it for?"
"My best friend Karen always use to joke and say to me that I sould take up modeling because I'd be good at it. So a year after my daughter was born, I packed up and tried my luck over in Paris. I was 15 yrs old when I started out and have been modeling now for 4yrs, until recently when my old boss decided to shut there doors for good and move onto something else. And well here Iam," she smiled.
"Wow, that's an amazing story and you know what? Your friend was right....you're a born natural at what you do Sally-Ann, dont ever doubt that sweetheart, "Tony said as he pulled into a parking bay out the front Julius Cafe.
"Here we are, Julius Cafe, the best damn burgers in town, mark my word, your goingmto love it, " he told her.
Once inside they took a seat and within 5 mins they were chowing down on there burgers.
"Gosh I'm going to need to go for a very hardcore workout after eatting this, but God it taste so bloody good,"Sally-Ann said.
"Don't say I didn't warn you," he laughed.
"You were saying before, you have anlittle girl. How old is she?" Tony asked picking up his drink.
"Yes I did. Her name is Skyanne and she is 5 and a half yrs old. I've beeb raising her on my own and at the moment I'm staying with my two best friends till I buy myself a place of my own," she told him.
"Sounds like you got it all figured out. " "Pretty much so," she smiled.
"And where's the father in all this..... if you don't mind me asking. As it must be hard on you raising a young child on your own and juggling work at the same time. How do you manage? "he asked.
"Long story, a story I'd rather nkt get into..... But as far copping on my own with work and a young child, I think I have managed quite well," she told him.
" I take my hat off to you Miss Neil, your one truly amazing woman," he said paying her a compliment.
The rest of the afternoon flew by and Tony called it a wrap, packed his equipment away and shouted out," See you tomorrow darl!"
Pulling up in the driveway, Sally-Ann grabbed her handbag and headed inside.
"Mummy's home Uncle Luke," Skyanne called out as she ran up to her mother and threw her tiny little arms around her.
"Hey there sweetie, what did you get up to today with your Uncle Luke?"
"Uncle Luke took me to the beach and we built a much bigger and better sandcastle than the last one. We even got a photo to prove it. .. hey Uncle Luke." "Sure have sweetheart, " he said pulling the photo out to show Sally-Ann.
"Oh my goodness, check this castle out..... it's huge alright and very colorful. You sure put alot into this didn't you, love the handy work," Sally-Ann said handing the photograph back to Luke.
"It sure was Mummy and right after this picture was taken both Uncle Luke and I smashed that sucker to the ground. Sand went flying everywhere," she told her mother. "Did it just, " her mother laughed. "Mmm hmm," Skyanne nodded.
"What's that lovely smell coming from the kitchen?"
"That would be our dinner cooking, " Luke answered as he went back tomthe kitchen to heck on it.
" Oh you mean to tell me that you actually learnt something while living at home, "she joked.
"Ha, your a funny one aren't you.... but yeah you might say that. It is Honey mustard chicken with rice, " he said as he lifted the lid on the pot to give it a stir. " Mmmm, smells really nice," she said closing her eyes and taking in the aroma.
"How was your first day at work Sal? " "It went really well. Mr Horn is very impressed with my work and Tony the cameraman says I'm a natural," she told Luke as she grabbed herself a drink.
Once she finished her drink, Sally-Ann went to freshen up abit before dinner. Ten minutes after she got out of the shower, wrapped a towel around herself and went to her room to get dressed. She grabbed herself nightie out of the draw along with fresh underwear and when she went to shut the draw on her dutchess, thats when she noticed the beautiful red rose and a small envolpe sittingg on top of the dutchess. Opening it up she read the small note: I saw this pretty red rose in the garden and I thought of you. I hope you like it.It's beautiful just like you re my sweet.

" That Luke, he's such a sweetie," she thought as she placed the note back inside the envelope and stuck it inside her nicker draw, then went out to join Luke and Skyanne in the lounge-room.
"Phew, thank God the day is over and done with... I'm beat!" Karen said as she walking in through the front door and dropping her briefcase near the door. "I can do with a glass or two of wine..... who knows, maybe three after the shit day I just had," she added.
"I take it you had a bad day?"Luke asked.
"That's an understatement. Some people are just so fucken dumb. I'll be glad when the long weekend comes and I can get away from the joint before I go do something dramatic; like hit them over the head with a damn hammer to try knock some commonm sense into them! " she said.
" Anyway, how was your first day Sally-Ann? " she asked as she plonked down into the chair next to Sally-Ann.
"My first day was absolutely amazing. My boss is really impressed with my work and Tony the cameraman is amazed by my work also. The girls are a lovely bunch to work with and everyone treats everyone like one big happy family,"Sally-Ann answered.
Not long after dinner everyone went sat and watched a bit of telly before Sally-Ann got up to put Skyanne to bed.
Karen soon called it a night and went to her room. No sooner she was out of ear range, Luke moved in closer to Sally-Ann.
"Alone at last," he said placing his arm around hef and pulling her in tight towards him. Sally-Ann knew he was going to kiss her. She placed her hand flat o his chest, a pathetic attempt to push him away before he coulc get too close, but she didn't push him away. Instead, as his mouth found hers, treacherous fingers curled into his shirt and she sighed ,losing herself in the headiness of feeling his tongue probing in her mouth, his tongue moving, exploring with hers, sparking a serious of explosive reactions in her body. She let him slip his hand underneath the silk nightie to first cp one reast and then the next, when he began to rub her nipple witn his free hand, he muttered in her ear," Mmm,Sally-Ann, you feel so nice.... Steven doesn't know what he's lost," and with that she pulled away.
