Manik left for his office and I came with Cabir Bhai for my pagfhera.. yeah I know I know what you all are thinking that he joined his office just next day.. Well that's Manik Malhotra for you, he loves his work more than anything and I think that's a great thing...
We reached home in few minutes.. Yeah it feels like home just like Vegas, Mangalore was never my home but this place with Bhai and Navi it definitely feels like home...

I giggled, while Navi didn't find it funny, I moved towards Mukti and gave her a hug, Alia was there too...

I hugged Alia and teased them a bit for being at home and ditching their work today also.. Well the irony is my friends have ditched their jobs to be with me but my husband is at office... Yayy life... ☹️
Mukti - Today is the last ceremony of your wedding, so how could we miss it. We decided today we 4 will have lots of fun because from tomorrow you will be busy with your husband and family then you will hardly give us any time...
I laughed at her and actually the idea didn't sounded bad, a whole day with my ladies sounds cool...
Cabir - okay then ladies I am off to work then... Enjoy and don't trouble my little sister and Navya make proper dinner arrangements as Manik and his family will be here to pick Nandu..

The day went awesome, I had lots of fun with them, it's so hard to believe that we have met just 2 weeks ago, it feels like we are besties just like me and Navya... I went upstairs and change into a coffee color saree with off white blouse that Navya kept out for me... It was perfect not too heavy nor too light, just perfect for a newly wed like me... I changed and apply a little makeup and completed my look with a vermillion and my nuptial chain... I looked in the mirror and was awestruck, this is not Nandini Moorthy, this is Nandini Manik Malhotra.... See Amma Appa, how much I aged in these 2 years, it feels like ages when I actually felt this happy but today with Manik, I actually am... I never thought I would say this but marrying Manik is the best decision I have taken and I promise you guys I won't let you people down.. I will be the best wife and best daughter in law... I promise...

I smiled at her and make my way downstairs with her....Neyo mom smiled widely at me and hugged me instantly. Just like always it was warm and full of love....
Neyo - Just Morning only you left but it feels like so long, since I last saw you...
Radhika - Right Di, without her the house felt so empty, so silent...
Inaya and Barkha hugged me, while Smaran passed a smile... Everyone is here but I couldn't find Manik, Bhai and Dhruv were also here but he was nowhere to be found....
Smaran - Ahemm ahemm Sister in law, for the person you are looking, is not here. He hasn't came from office yet, he asked us to leave and he will directly join us here.. But now I think I should call him and tell him to come as early as possible cause someone is desperately waiting for you...
And I turned red, oh Aiyappa was I that obvious, everyone laughed on my expense and I went to kitchen to hide my embarrassment...
Everyone was having a good time talking about each and everything... I was also sitting with them but my whole attention was towards gate, it's 9:00 pm and still there was no sign of Manik... I am just getting worried now, I hope everything is fine with him...
Cabir - Manik is running very late, he should have been here by now...
I guess Bhai noticed my restlessness, everyone was getting worried now..
Barkha - I can't control my hunger anymore, when is he gonna come?

But before he could call, his phone started ringing...

I didn't know what he said from other side, but whatever he said it made Cabir Bhai frown, he tried to ask something but I guess was cut off by Manik and after few more seconds he disconnected the call..
Nandini - Bhai is everything okay?
Cabir - Manik is going to London...
London 🙄 what and why and how, I mean what is going on...
Neyonika - London... Why? What happen? Is everything okay Cabir?
Cabir - Yes Mom, everything is alright. There is some important work because of which Manik is leaving for London right now. He is just packing and then he will leave for airport. He said you all have dinner and he will come back in 3,4 days and he will call once he will reach there....
Neyonika - Is he out of his mind? Just yesterday he got married and instead of taking his newly wedded wife on a honeymoon, he is going for a business trip. Not at all, wait I will give him a piece of mind...
Nandini- Mom please calm down... Please don't call him. You know how Manik is serious about his work, I am sure something very urgent came up then only he is leaving otherwise he would have not disappointed you...
Cabir - Nandini is right Mom please don't be mad at him. If this trip was not that important than Manik wouldn't have left like this.. I know him... Navya please serve dinner, Let's just eat it's already too late...
Mom looked at me and I smiled... I don't know why but knowing Manik left without even saying a goodbye hurts... A lot... He could have called me but oh come on Nandu, don't be a brat, he might have his reasons and it's not like he is obliged to tell you about his whereabouts, don't forget it's just a contract marriage... I know he was different last night but he never said anything about not following this contract anymore... So don't assume things... Just let it be.. Let him come back... Yeah just calm down Nandu just calm down....

It's been 4 days since Manik left for London, 4 days since we have talked, 4 days since I have felt his intense gaze on me... Everything was fine in Malhotra Mansion, Me and Mom have bonded great, we had so much of a great time together, it feels like I have got my Amma back... Radhika Aunty and Barkha left yesterday waiting for Manik's arrival but he didn't came... They couldn't wait more while Inaya and Smaran went back the next day of pag fhera as his mother was not too well.... Bhai, Navya and gang come regularly to check on us... Everything was good , but I miss him, I miss him a lot... I don't know what are these feeling, but they are making me crazy... Come back Manik come back soon....
Me and mom were watching a TV show laughing and chilling over evening tea when we heard doorbell....
Nandini - I will look..
Maybe Manik is back and just this thought was enough to quicken my pace, I almost raced down towards the gate and opened in a go just too receive a shock of my life...
