Athena groans.
You: What?
Athena: We've been searching all day. There's no one around here.
You: I don't think Deimos would waste time sending us on a wild goose chase.
Athena: We're in the middle of nowhere!
She spins around with her arms outstretched. You're on a highway, filled with old cars. Some skeletons lie on the street.
You: The sun just went down. We'll look a little longer and then set up camp for the night.
Athena: I want to sleep in my bed.
You: It's a crappy cot.
Athena: Still better than the ground.
You: Barely.
Athena: Listen here you little shit. -
You hear laughter off in the distance and hold up a finger to Athena. She gives you a funny look.
Athena: What?
You: Did you not hear that?
Athena: No what?
There's some more laughter and she hears it this time.
Athena: Shit.
She says like shes surprised youre right.
You: There's no one around here hu?
You move towards the laughter.
Athena: Don't forget I have the controller for that mask of yours.
You: Uh hu.
You walk up a hill. The sound of people talking grows louder and louder. You reach the top and lay down. You are overlooking a large factory. There is a makeshift wall surrounding it.
Athena: Anything good?
She lays down beside you, after checking to make sure you weren't followed.
You: A factory, with a wall around it.
Athena: Promising.
You: Wanna go talk to em?
Athena: We're just supposed to scout.
You: What's the fun in that?
Athena: It isn't our place to decide what happens to them.
You: It isn't anyone's.
Athena: Please don't do something stupid.
You: I'm gonna do something stupid.
Athena: No, you're going to get yourself shot. You look terrifying.
You: Soooooo, you come with me.
Athena: No.
You: Let's sneak in and look around then.
Athena: Your chains are too noisy.
You Wrap them around your arms and legs so that they aren't hanging.
You: Problem solved.
Athena: Whatever.
She stands up and dusts herself off.
Athena: Come on.
You stand up and follow her around the building. You keep your distance from it to make sure that you aren't spotted. You get to the back of it and climb the side of it.
Athena: This is terrifying.
You: Just climb the building.
You reach the top before Athena and help her up the rest of the way.
Athena: Thanks, now what?
You: We find a way in.
Athena: We could have just gone through the backdoor.
You: This was your idea.
Athena: Shut up.
You see a hatch.
You: There's a hatch right there.
Athena: We have to climb down into the building?
You: You can stay up here.
Athena: Cool, I'll spy on the people outside.
You: For real?
Athena: Yeah, I'm sure you'll be fine.
You: Ok.
You open the hatch and climb down the ladder beneath it. The room is dark, and you can barely see as you climb down. You almost fall a few times as you miss the rungs.
Once at the bottom you stand still for a second, trying to focus on anything. You look around for the door and find it after a few seconds.
You: Got ya.
You don't know what else is in the room with you. You move past them and turn the handle. You push it open slowly and peak out. The next room is dimly lit, and you can hear a few voices. You step in and realize it's a lot smaller than you thought it would be. It doesn't even look like a factory.
You: Must be offices or something.
Unknown: Who are you?
You turn around in surprise; you didn't see anyone. There's a small kid standing a few feet away from you. It's dark and you can't see their face.
You: How about you go away and not tell anyone I'm here.
Unknown: Are you trying to steal from us?
You: No.
Unknown: Then why are you here?
You: Alright buddy, you need to leave.
Unknown: No... Who are you?
You: Huuu Ares.
Unknown: You're an Olym- Olympin.
You: Olympian. Which means you don't want to mess with me.
Unknown: No, it means I want to kill you.
He runs at you and tries punching you in the balls. He screams loudly. You grab his arm, spin him around and put a hand over his mouth as you restrain him with the other arm. You get a face full of afro.
You: AJ?
You mumble.
He bites your hand.
You: Ow, you little-
He elbows you in the face as he turns around.
You: Fuck.
He throws a right hook at you and you barley deflect it.
You: Calm down kid.
He punches your mask with his other hand and backs up, holding his hand in pain.
You: Ouch.
AJ: Shut up!
Unknown: AJ? What's going on?!
You see someone on two crutches round the corner.
AJ: This guy.
Unknown: Who are you?
AJ: He said his name was Ares.
Unknown: You're an Olympian.
You: Y-yes.
Unknown: Why are you here?
You: Scouting.
They pull out a pistol from their back and aim it at you.
Unknown: You fuckers took Richmond, and Y/N.
You: I-I wasn't around then.
Unknown: You're still with them!
You: Not by choice.
AJ: He said my name earlier.
You: Shit... I didn't think he heard that.
Unknown: How do you know his name?!
You: Uh... I-I didn't say his name.
They shoot at you and the bullet hits your hood. It pulls it back off your head and you run at them. You push them both to the ground and kick the pistol away.
You: I don't want to hurt you. You need to pack up and leave tomorrow.
A light shines into the room and onto Clementine's face.
Clem: Fuck you!
You see the light increase to fill the room as people shine lights through windows and come running. You're somewhat blinded as some hits your face. It reveals your watery eyes and Clementine's hat on your head. You can see Clementine a little taken aback.
You run off back to the room you come from and quickly shut it. You grab the nearest thing to you and quickly push it in front of the door; it's heavy. You wave your hands around until you reach the ladder and start climbing as fast as you can.
When you almost reach the top, you can hear people trying to force the door open. The hatch opens before you reach it. The moon shines down into the room. You start to climb faster, knowing where the rungs are now. You reach the top and you hear the door open below you. You practically dive onto the roof as Athena quickly shuts the hatch.
Athena: What did you do?
You get up and punch her.
Athena: What the fuck?!
You: She's alive you stupid fuck!
Athena: What are you talking about?!
You: CLEMENTINE! SHE'S ALIVE!
Athena: Oh, is this that girl you were on about? Cool punch me over it.
You: You knew she was alive, didn't you?!
Athena: You think they tell me anything?! No, I didn't know!
You: What a load of shit.
You feel an intense pain enter your body from the mask.
Athena: You need to calm down and understand that we're on the same fucking team! I didn't know, they only trust me a little more than you.
The shocking stops.
Athena: Now let's go, they're coming.
You follow her to the edge of the building.
Athena: How are we supposed to get down? They'll be waiting for us.
You: No, they won't. They probably think that the only way down is through that hatch.
Athena: You're being unbelievable rude right now.
You: I wonder why.
Athena: Get to climbing you piece of shit.
You climb down the side of the building quickly. Before anyone realizes what, you're doing.
Once at the bottom you hear someone coming towards you.
Unknown: Hey! Put your hands up.
You: What, you think you're a cop?
Unknown: Shut up.
He gets close to you and you punch him in the throat and grab his gun as he freaks out. You take it apart and throw it away.
You: Get out of here.
They stumble away as they struggle to breathe.
Athena: Why didn't you just kill him?
You: Fuck you.
She doesn't say anything for a minute.
Athena: Let's just go find somewhere to set up camp.

Your screaming is heard throughout the building. A hole in the roof makes sure of that.
You: CLEMENTINE! SHES ALIVE!
AJ: Clem, are you alright?
She looks shocked still.
Clem: Yeah buddy.
She looks down at the keychain around her neck.
Javier: Clem can I talk to you?
Clem: Mhm.
She follows Javier to a room, and he shuts the door. Kate is already in the room.
Javier: What happened?
Clem: Ares.
Javier: You saw what I saw didn't you?
Clem: What did you see?
Javier: A young guy, wearing your hat.
Clem: Yeah, we saw the same thing.
Kate: Could just be a random guy.
Javier: He told me the hat was his curse.
Clem: He was on the verge of crying.
Kate: Yeah, thats uh... Compelling.
Javier: Im going to get a search party looking for him.
The door flings open and a guy comes stumbling in. He's choking.
Kate: Someone get Ruby!
Kate says as she races over to his side. Clementine has no emotion on her face.
Javier: Clem, well get him.
Clem: Yeah, sure.
