Her lips parted, but no words came out. After a while, she managed to ask in a soft voice that was merely above a whisper, "Where did you get that?"
The puzzle box looked new and shiny. It was obvious that it had been polished countless of times, and was handled like a rare treasure.
Song Jia's nose became sour.
The man didn't reply. But those slender fingers slowly rose upwards and removed his mask, showing Song Jia his face.
His hair and eyes were dark, but his skin was pale. It was as if he stepped out of a monochrome painting, where there was only light and darkness in his world.
The man's features were indeed extremely handsome, but it was clear to see, the left side of his face didn't have any scar.
Song Jia's heart sank in disappointment.
This man must have only picked it up from the streets where it had been dropped years before.
"Oh," she said, trying not to sound deflated. She thought he was giving her the puzzle box and quickly shook her head, "I don't want it."
