I know I know I know I know I know. You expected a chapter. It's been fucking who knows how long since the last update. You want to see what happens next. Well, I've put this on an indefinite hiatus for the time being. It's been that way for a while but I kept forgetting to post this. While yes I have started work on the next chapter, and it'll be released sometime down the line, I have a few reasons why this story may not be updated a whole lot in the future. This isn't the first story of mine to get this treatment, and it comes down for a couple of reasons.
Reason 1 is I have other projects I'd like to work on. The Ela story is becoming one of my favorite stories to write of all time simply because of several ideas I have in store. I feel like there's a genuine connection with Stuck Together and I want to work with that more. The same story goes for the Spider-Gwen story, and even though right now I'm not at a point in that story I'm enjoying, it'll be picking up momentum soon.
Reason 2 is I've just lost motivation with this story as of now. I don't know when it will return (possibly when Overwatch 2 comes out), but if I don't have the motivation, the story will just be crap. I won't be happy with my work and I can't release sub-par chapters I'm not happy with.
I'm sorry to everyone who enjoyed the story. This isn't goodbye from it, but it isn't exactly the big return either. I'm sorry for disappointing you all. I mean, if you think about it, it picks up in the Tracer story when Alex (almost) sacrifices herself, so there's at least some continuity there. The next chapters were going to go in depth with that incident, so it's not like I'm exactly leaving on a cliffhanger, but yeah. I'm sorry.
Stay safe during this whole COVID-19 thing. Hopefully this whole thing blows over sooner rather than later. I don't know when the next chapter will be out or when I'll work on it again, so that's why it is an indefinite hiatus.
