CHAPTER 20
*Kim Taehyung*
The dog barked and was followed by the most beautiful giggle I've heard.
“Jisoo-eonnie, he's now all better you can take him home. His wounds are gradually healing.” Dr. Lisa said. She's the vet who's been taking care of the dog that Kim Jisoo have found.
Gone the dirty wounded dog I've seen for the first time, it has now white shiny fur and as Lisa said. His wounds are healing.
“Thanks Lisa, how much should I pay you?” she asked as she picked up the dog from the floor and the dog just licked her cheeks and bark.
“Oh come on eonnie, it's not like we're strangers. You always help me with my clinic...although now I see you're busy with your boyfriend” she teased and wiggled her eyebrows as she looked at me.
I lowered down my head as a small smile made it's way to my lips when I raised my head and met Kim Jisoo's eyes who has this awkward smile, she diverted her eyes to Lisa and shook her head.
“hey! He's not my boyfriend” she said and so I agreed.
“nope, I'm not her boyfriend” ....yet I said with a smile.
“Yeah yeah the smile says it all” she smirked.
“Actually I'm glad to see you with another man other than you-know-who they are.” she said.
“Yeah, I'm...I'm also glad...” Kim Jisoo answered with a faint but lovely smile.
Jisoo thanked her for the last time and bid goodbye, as we stepped out of the clinic. Jisoo kept on playing with the dog who is quietly in her arms. I smiled as I unlocked the car--I brought my car since the vet clinic is far from our apartment.
“Get in your highness” I said as I opened the door for her
She smiled and hopped on the car.
I was smiling from ear to ear as I went around the car to get on the driver's seat, the moment I sat on the driver's seat I've put on my seatbelt Jisoo is still playing with the dog.
I drove the car, the whole ride was filled with Jisoo's giggle and the dog's bark.
“So what are you gonna name him?” I asked.
“Hmm...Dalgom” she said and the dog once again barked.
“You like it?” she asked the dog who barked as a response.
I smiled wider when I saw how happy she was.
“You like dogs so much huh?” I said as I continued to drive.
“Yes, aren't they cute?” she asked still playing with a dog.
Jennie also has a dog named Kai-her first baby- and Kuma.
I also have one and he's left at home with my trusted maid.
“Yeah, I agree...you're cute” I commented.
Through my peripheral vision I saw her turned her head to look at me, with questioning look.
“what did you say?” she asked. I tried so hard to contain a wider smile so I cleared my throat.
“Nothing” I said.
I took a glance at her and she's still having this suspicious look.
“What?” I asked acting innocent.
The ride was going smoothly when a car suddenly blocked our way! We almost crashed to it, it was a good thing that I pulled the break on time!
Kim Jisoo! I took off my seat belt to check on her.
“Kim Jisoo-ssi are you ok?” I asked worried.
“I'm...I'm ok” she said as she held her head, she looked up and so I examined her face looking for some any cuts or wound, It was a relief when I didn't find any. So I looked in front of us and the car is still blocking our way.
The driver stepped out of the car, he's wearing a black suit and a shade. Then he opened the door at the backseat, another guy stepped out and his aura shouts power and authority. He's wearing a silver suit...
“Gu Wook Il...” I heard Kim Jisoo said so I diverted my gaze to her.
Her eyes were fixed infront...no it's on the guy wearing a silver suit.
Her hands started to shake and so is her lips.
I looked at the guy in Silver suit and he too is looking directly at Kim Jisoo with a smirk on his lips.
Kim Jisoo diverted her look like a kid being scared of someone, she clenched her fists and tightened her hug on the Dog.
Who is he?
To find out the answer, I decided to step out of my car. Kim Jisoo is calling out my name but I just gave her an assuring smile before closing the door and walked towards the man.
The guy's eyes sharpened when he met mine, there's a cocky grin on his face that I wanna smack with my fist so bad. But as a decent man, I need to stay cool and protect Kim Jisoo from this man. Though I don't have any idea why, but I feel the urge to protect her from him.
“Who are you? What d'you want?” I asked bravely without blinking.
I felt someone held my arms.
“Kim Taehyung-ssi, l-let's just go...” Kim Jisoo said and tried to pull me away.
“Kim.Jisoo...I'm quite disappointed. You're cheating on me?” the guy said that made me frown.
What does he mean?
“I see you're getting better...is it because of him?” he added.
I was all confused on what he is talking about, when Kim Jisoo actually stood in front of me as if protecting me.
“d-don't drag h-him into t-this...” She bravely said though she stutters, I can hear it on her voice...that she's acting brave just to protect me.
This woman, she can't even manage to take care of herself well enough. And yet, she's still trying to protect me.
I pulled her so I could hide her from my back.
“I asked who you are!” I roared at him but he just laughed.
“Why don't you ask little ms. Jisoo who I am?” he asked, his eyes eere dancing with amusement in their depths.
Once again Kim Jisoo held my hand, I can feel it cold and shaking and so I diverted my eyes on her.
“Kim Taehyung-ssi....please, l-let's...l-let's get out of here” she begged.
Her voice broke and a tear fell from her begging eyes, it pained me to see her like this...as much as I wanna stay and confront this man in front of us, it's more important to take Kim Jisoo away from him.
And so I glanced at that guy who's still wearing his smug expression, before I walked away with Jisoo. I opened the door for her, and she was about to get in when that guy spoke.
“Until next time Kim Jisoo-ssi...remember, I always have my eyes on you” he said.
“Get in” I said when I saw her expression saddened.
I gently closed the door to the passenger seat, and walked towards the driver seat, I looked at that guy again when he said something unusual...
“You better watch your back boy, you didn't know what you just got yourself into” he said that adds up into my confusion.
I went in the car and drove it away...
Whoever that guy is...
I know he's a bad news.
