It was pure bliss and tranquility as I lay on the swing seat that was on the patio overlooking the ocean. There was a gentle lull to the swing as it moved to the light and cooling pace of the breeze. Max and I were in Indonesia to celebrate his race win for a couple of days before returning home. He had surprised me with the trip, despite him being the person who had actually won the trophy but I didn't refuse the offer and was heavily enjoying the beach bungalow he had rented out for us. Max was currently clearing up after dinner as the sun began to set over the ocean. I felt my eyes dropping slightly but quickly snapped them open when I heard a laugh from above me,
"Very comfortable." Max stated with a grin and swung my legs over his as he sat down.
I sat up against him and leaned my head upon his shoulder and sighed contently as he began to twist my hair inbetween his fingers.
"It's so pretty here." I mused,
"It is, maybe once I retire we can move here."
"You're thinking of retiring already, gosh you're planning far ahead!" I mocked him lightly and he grinned in reply,
"Well I'm just saying I want to move once I do and if you really like it here then we should move here." He stated,
"It should be a duo decision, where would you move to?" I asked cheerfully,
"Anywhere with you princess."
I blushed a deep red to which he noticed and laughed, pulling me tightly into his body and kicking the swing slightly off the ground so it swung at a better pace.
"I like talking about the future, it means I can count all my future race wins." He grinned,
"You'll be over in seconds!" I teased,
"Hey!" He exclaimed with a pout before dropping his scowl and kissing me lightly on the head.
I apologised and he grinned once more. It was heart warming as the next hours passed with Max detailing how he wanted the future and how perfect his plan was. He was clearly excited about the prospect of having a house with children and the idea of being able to take them to the paddock was one that caused his eyes to light up and his face to be held by pure joy. The sun had set long ago and I felt myself falling slowly into slumber being wrapped up in his arms.
"Are you falling asleep as I'm telling you what I want our dog to be called?" He whispered into my hair, followed by a few, short kisses pressed upon my ear.
"Sorry." I giggled, embarrassed that he had caught me drifting off to sleep during his important future talks.
"It's okay, I'm tired as well, too much future talks because I want to celebrate these days!" He beamed brightly.
He gathered me up tightly in his arms and walked into the bedroom, laying me down in the soft sheets and began once again whispering words of comfort and love as I slowly drifted of to sleep. His arms gripped my waist tightly as I shut my eyes, excited about all his talks of the night for the future.
