I wake up with a smile on my face. I rush to get my coat and cloths on before leaving for my post. Red and I promised to meet each other right away in the morning at my post. I barely slept. I wanted to see him again so badly. I want to embrace him and kiss him.
I reach my post and sit behind the counter pretending I'm looking at my phone so I don't look so desperate.
An hour passes. He must be sleeping in. If he is like me he probably too lazy to get up.
Two more hours pass. Wow he must really be tired... right?
Five more hours pass and I hear footsteps approaching. "Red?" I call out. "Is that you?" The footsteps near and I'm disappointed to find Paps coming towards me.
"NO IT'S ME, WHY DID RED NOT COME?" I see the worry on my brother's face.
"Wha? No. Pffft. He just had to run home real quick. He's coming back."
"WELL, IT'S TIME FOR US TO RETURN HOME, BROTHER. COME NOW."
"Um, actually I think I'm gonna stay here a bit longer. for when he comes back, you know?" My brother shrugs and walks off.
Another hour passes and It's starting to get colder. I wrap myself tight in my hoodie.
More hours pass and my eyelids feel heavy and I feel the wold darkening around me....
