A couple months have passed since Victoria made things official with Dalton, and the police officer moved into her apartment, pissing Brayden off. Until she decided on what she wanted to do, she stored everything at Tiara's, and switched staying at either Tiara's or Dalton's, with mostly staying at his place. The talk at work had been growing, and with all employees feeling there was more going on between the two, than they were letting on. They also noticed whenever Doctor Jones stayed late, she stayed late, with both being caught leaving the clinic together on multiple occasions, hours after the clinic was closed.

Victoria left Tiara's home in the wee hours of the morning knowing Dalton was going in early, and stopped at the coffee shop along the way to work, picking up a couple coffees for her and Dalton. She entered the clinic, and walked over to his office. Being that her hands were full, she was relieved to see he left the door open, and walked right over to him, handing him his cup. "Thought you might like a hot cup of coffee."

"Thanks..." he says, sounding down while taking the cup out of her hand, and setting it on the desk.

She noticed he sounded off, and wasn't the typical happy man she was used to seeing whenever he saw her, and tilted her head to the side, looking at him curiously. "Something the matter?"

"I just have some things on my mind, and have been trying to figure out how to tell this patient her test results."

"What kinds of things are on your mind?" she asks, as she moved in front of him, and leaned against his desk. "Is it just about this patient, or is there something else?"

He rested his elbows on the arms of his chair, and folded his hands together while looking up at her. And shook his head no, "It's just that I don't know what to do with you anymore..." he says, sighing "So much has been on my mind lately, and I don't know how to talk to you about it, without you getting upset."

"You can't talk to me? Since when? We've always talked about everything..."

"Dammit Victoria, all this crap on my mind has been killing me... I want to be able to wake up to you every morning, and to be able to satisfy you to the point where you'll be smiling all day. And the same goes at night, I want to be able to hold you, and for you to fall asleep in my arms..."

"I want that too." she said quietly, feeling heartbroken after seeing the look on his face, and hearing the tone in his voice. She didn't want him feeling this way, and didn't realize anything was bothering him.

"Victoria, I can't keep doing this. It's been eating at me, and tearing me up inside. I don't want us hiding our feelings from the world any longer..." He paused, and looked away. It was killing him for what he was about to say next, and took a deep breath, sighing loudly as he exhaled. "The thing is, I'm in love with you... I love you so damn much, and if you want to continue hiding us from everyone, then that just shows me one thing, your feelings aren't mutual..."

"I know what you're saying."

"Do you? Because if this is how you want it to keep going, then as much as I'm going to hate saying this, we're going to have to decide. Either we say fuck it and go our separate ways, or we continue with what we're doing, and show everyone what they've suspected for a while. I know what I want, but it's your decision that I cannot make for you." He looked directly at her while studying her facial expression. He didn't know what to take from it, and looked away shaking his head, thinking he just lost another woman he cared deeply for.

"Look at me." she said, crossing her legs, and leaning forward while holding on to the desk. Looking at the man who changed her way of thinking of what a real man was, and smiled. She couldn't let him think the worst any longer, and reached for him. "Please, look at me... I have something to say."

"Are we over?"

She shook her head no, and smiled. "I came here this morning knowing you were coming in early, wanting to talk to you, and to see what your feelings were about me moving in with you. I too have been thinking about it, and I'm getting tired of going back and forth from yours to Tiara's. I feel like I'm freeloading on you both."

"You're not freeloading, I offered you months ago a place to stay, you turned it down."

"I was also afraid of moving in with you, thinking we were going too fast. Our affair happened really fast, and it was something I never thought would happen... you brought out the best in me, and have shown me what love really is... and the truth is, I'm in love with you too, and have known for a while... just afraid to admit it after what I went through with Brayden."

Hearing her say she was in love with him, had him feeling overjoyed, and wondering if she was ready on taking the next step, moving in with him. He reached for her hand, and helped her down onto his lap. He wanted to smile, but held it in as he looked her in the eyes, and cupped the side of her face with his thumb tracing her bottom lip.

As he looked at her, and how he was tracing her lip, her eyes closed, wanting to enjoy the way he was holding her, and touching her. He always knew how to make her feel, and now it was her turn to return the favor, and to make him quit wondering what she wanted. She opened her eyes, reached for his chin while smiling, and leaned forward. "Tonight, I'll move all my stuff out of Tiara's, and bring them over to your place... I'll just need some help if that's alright with you."

"Of course, I'll help you... my help has always been there for you, I've just been sitting back and waiting for you to ask, and that means with anything." he winks, while pulling her in for a kiss. She knew they had another hour before employees started to show, and stood up undoing her blouse.

He glanced over to the door, saw she locked the door, and grinned. He stood up, undid his pants and lowered her onto the desk, knocking their coffee's over. "Oops." he chuckled, seeing the mess. Not wanting to get coffee all over their clothes, she placed her hands on his chest and pushed him up off her, and had him sit in the chair, then took over by straddling him, and placing him inside her.

Her arms tightly wrapped around him, holding him tightly against her as she bounced up and down, and with his face resting in-between her breasts. He grabbed a hold of her hair, and tilted her head back, ravishing her neck. As he lowered her head, his lips met with hers, kissing her hard, demanding, and deeply exploring her mouth with his tongue.

"Dalton?" They both hear from the other side of the door, and with a hard knock. Causing them both to pause for a second.

"Bitch." he groaned quietly, closing his eyes. He rested his hands on her hips, and held firmly as he got ready to release. Another knock they heard, and continued doing what they were doing, ignoring who was at the door. They both were ready to release, and to muffle the sounds of their moans, he wrapped his mouth around hers.

"Dammit Dalton, answer the damn door!"

"Christ, I better see what she wants." he said quietly. "Hold on, I'll be right there!" he yelled.

They quickly dressed, and she couldn't help but giggle. "It smells like sex in here, do you have any air freshener?"

"No, but there is some Clorox bleach in the cupboard."

She quickly went over to the cupboard, grabbed the bleach and water mix, and started cleaning up the coffee spill, wanting the room to smell like they've been cleaning. He opened the door, and shook his head "What do you want?"

She looked over his shoulder and saw Victoria cleaning his desk "Accident?"

"Yes, I spilled my coffee, what do you need Janelle?" he groaned.

"Mom called, Dad had a heart attack this morning and is in the hospital, he was also asking for you." His stomach instantly dropped, and couldn't get a word out as he stood in shock.

Victoria stopped cleaning up the mess, and looked over at Janelle. "Is he going to be OK?"

She shrugged her shoulders, and looked at Dalton. "He wants you there with him. I suggest you go to him."

"I'll be there..." he says running his hands through his hair "I have to let the girls know what's going on, and will have to reschedule some important appointments, before I can go over there."

"Hurry up in case something happens." she insisted. "Mom sounded scared, so do what you can to get there ASAP, I'm on my way over there now, I just wanted to tell you in person." she says while glancing over at Victoria. "Maybe bring her along, to show you've met someone, I know Dad would like to hear that."

Victoria finished cleaning up the coffee mess, while he made phone call to his one patient that was waiting to hear her test results, explaining what happened, and that he would call her when he got back. She then let Tiara know what was going on before they left, and to let her know that when she got back, she needed to talk to her.

Along the way to the hospital, she kept hearing groans, and sighs come out of him, and reached her hand out to his face. "I'm sure everything will be alright."

"This is his second heart attack within a year... he's already had a couple stents placed into his arteries, so I'm guessing one may have failed, or needs another one."

"How old is he?" she asked, sounding surprised.

"Fifty-eight"

She turned, and faced her head towards the windshield, thinking that was awfully young to be having heart attacks. "I'm sorry." she said quietly.

"The thing is, he's so damn stubborn, and refuses to change his diet. Hopefully if he comes through, it'll wake him up, and he'll finally listen to me."

Once they arrived to his father's room, Dalton looked at his father's paperwork before walking in, and shook his head. He walked into the room, and over to his mother placing his arm over her shoulder as he looked at his father. "How's he doing?"

"He's stable, they had to place another stent into his heart, but he's still his stubborn ole self." She looked over his shoulder, and saw Victoria standing beside him. "Who's that standing beside you?"

He looked to his side, and pulled her close to him. "This is Victoria, the new love in my life." he said proudly with a smile. Victoria reached across him, and held out her hand to shake. "Victoria, my mother's name is Annette.

"Hi, it's nice to meet you, Annette." She didn't know what to do or say, and figured she would at least shake her hand, and smiled as she shook her hand. "I'm sorry you have to meet me like this."

His mom smiled back, and was happy to see he met someone new. She looked at her husband, and began shaking his arm. "Wake your stubborn ass up, Dalton has a new girl he wants you to meet."

"Mom, let him rest." he chuckled.

"Well, you know him... he always hated Krista, and after what she pulled on you, he despises her even more. Maybe if he saw that you're with someone new, he'd quit being the way he is."

Victoria liked what she was hearing, it made her feel good, and assured her even more that he wouldn't take her back. She placed her hand on Dalton's back, and looked over at Janelle. "I'm going to go sit by Janelle, and let you two talk... unless you want me to leave the room?"

"No, you can stay in here."

She walked over to Janelle, and sat in the chair next to her, while Dalton talked with his mother. He stood and watched his numbers on the machines above him, and sighed. "I've been warning him for months this could happen again if he didn't change his diet..."

"He was getting better, and I did switch from real butter, to avocado oil butter... he doesn't even know, so don't tell him." she said as she leaned into Dalton's ear.

"I heard that." his dad growled, with his eyes closed.

His mom looked over at him, and giggled "You ole grouch, about time you open those stubborn eyes."

"Mom, no need for getting him worked up like always... let him relax, and rest." He looked down at his dad, and pointed his finger at him, letting him know he was in trouble with him when he got out.

His dad heard a voice he didn't recognize and furrowed his eyebrows as he turned his head. He saw a blonde sitting next to Janelle and studied her for a moment. "Who's that blonde bombshell sitting next to my daughter?"

Both Janelle and Victoria stopped talking, and looked over at him. Dalton chuckled and waved for Victoria to come over to him. As she stood and walked over to Dalton, his eyes remained glued to her, and reached for her hand when she stopped and stood next to Dalton.

Pulling her down to his level, he looked her in the eyes, and stared into them deeply. "Your eyes are as blue as the toilet bowl water I have at home... damn their blue. Who are you?" he asked, his voice sounding hoarse, but trying to be smooth at the same time.

She giggled, as Dalton pulled her away from him. "Dad, this is Victoria... my new gal. Victoria, this is Stan, you'll have to excuse him at the moment, he's not in his right mind."

"I'm in my right mind, I know who you are don't I?" He looked away from her, and over to Dalton with a smile "When did this all come about, and why haven't I heard about her?" He looked back over to Victoria, and grinned. "With eyes like that, it's no wonder you've kept her a secret... and I'm not talking about her blue bowl colored eyes either." he smirked.

"Dad, enough..." he says, covering his mouth, and chuckling. "We've been taking things slow, and we're now ready for the next step..."

"Oh? What step is that? Marriage?"

Victoria coughed, and looked at Dalton. "Marriage? I see where you get your sense of humor from."

"No, not married." he chuckled "She's going to be moving in with me, sometime later today."

A doctor walked into the room, interrupting their discussion, and headed over to Stan. "How are we feeling this afternoon?"

"I'd feel better if I was in a clean pair of skivvies, and in my chair watching Gilligan's Island, but I guess lying in this bed free balling will do for now."

The doctor chuckled, and covered his face with the clipboard. "He seems to be doing alright, but we're going to be moving him into another room to finish recovering from the surgery, where he'll stay until we feel he's ready to be released."

Dalton walked over to his dad, and looked down at him "You better start listening to me, and change that diet of yours. Otherwise you'll be spending all your time in here, or worse, six feet under."

"Yea, yea... why don't you go take that beautiful blonde of yours home, and give her the blue-veined aristocrat, it'll turn her blue eyes even bluer."

"Jesus dad... seriously?"

"Stan that's enough... you're going to scare that poor girl away from Dalton." Annette says, smacking his hand.

"Well, if she can't handle me, how the hell will she ever be able to handle our son?" he snickered.

Victoria giggled, and walked over to Stan, and placed her hand into his, resting her other hand on top of their holding hands. "You take care, and once you're out of here, I'll come over and we can talk more... it was nice to meet you and your wife, and I'm sorry it had to be in here."

"It was a pleasure meeting you... I do have one thing to say, and that's if you have a twin sister, I'd love to meet her." he said, smiling.

"Sorry, I don't have a twin sister." she giggled.

"Damn, that just means I'm stuck with Annette a little while longer."

"Not if I put you six feet under myself." she scowled. She looked at Victoria and smiled "It was nice to meet you, sorry for my husband's rudeness, must be the medications he's on."

On the way back to the clinic, Victoria couldn't help but laugh when she thought of Dalton's father, and the remarks he was making. She now understood where Dalton got his sense of humor from, and reached for his hand. "You're not thinking of leaving me, are you?"

"No, why would I?" she asked, giving him a puzzled look.

"My dad... he's normally not like that, and it sort of surprised me. He hasn't been that way since I was younger." he says, looking her way, and began caressing her cheek with his finger. "It must be you... you did the same thing to me when I first met you."
