Victoria went home, and with no surprise, Brayden was there. Ignoring him, she went to her room, and shut the door. She laid on the bed, and thought for a while. She thought about the lease, and knew if she paid the rest of his share of the lease, he still wouldn't leave. Same if she paid her share of the lease, and moved out, she would still be responsible if he didn't pay his share.

For the remainder of the night, she stayed in her room, and didn't come out once. She was hungry, and didn't feel like running into him. Not wanting to think about it, she fell asleep.

The next morning, she was surprised when she left her room, and saw he was gone. Not once did he bother her, and felt relieved to know she could shower, and get ready for work without him heckling her.

Throughout the day, Victoria did her work, and if she ran into Dalton, he kept it strictly business. Knowing what her nickname was for him, he decided to have a little fun with her. He had a stack of files on his desk that she had given him, plus additional files he had found while cleaning the office.

He cleared his throat as he walked into her office, letting the two know he was in there, and placed the stack on Victoria's desk. "This stack right here, needs to be billed out immediately, I found them in the office, and they're months behind. This stack right here also needs to be billed out, and I would like to see these done before the two of you leave tonight."

Victoria looked at the files, and laughed. "You can't be serious?"

"Oh, I'm serious alright." he says, looking at her with a serious look. She looked at him, and couldn't tell if he was messing with her, or if he was being serious, and laughed again. "What's so funny? This stack right here are six months plus, behind." He says, placing his hand on top of the stack. "I cannot believe these have never been completed. Don't you two check on the outstanding patient files?"

"We do, but I don't remember seeing these." Tiara says, as she grabbed a file, and looked inside. There were no notes, and when she looked up the patient's name, nothing was ever entered into the system. "Doctor Adams must have hung onto these for some reason."

"Bill them all out." he demanded, then left the room.

"Gee, what the hell is up his rear-end?" Tiara growled.

"No fucking idea."

Victoria sighed, and remembered what he told her about the more she bills out, the more money she makes, and thought about her situation with Brayden. "Let's just get them done."

Tiara looked at the time, and laughed. "Yeah right, did you happen to see the time? I've got plans with Teagan later, I'm not going to piss him off. He's still questioning me about why we were with Doctor Jones that night."

"Why, it's not like we went out with him, he just happened to be there."

"I know that, and you know that, but he doesn't. He feels that's the reason why he wasn't allowed to come out with us."

Dalton was watching the time, and grinned when he knew she would be leaving any minute. He headed back to their office, and peeked his head inside the door. "Leaving so soon?" he asked, seeing Tiara was gone, and Victoria was shutting everything down.

"Yea, I didn't realize what time it was when you handed us those files. I have to go home, and figure out what I need to do, so I can get Brayden out of my apartment."

"Don't you think you need to finish those?" he asked, pointing to her desk. She turned and looked at the files, and smiled. "You're funny. There's no possible way I'm getting them done tonight."

He walked in, and shut the door. Then walked over to the files, picked them up and had her hold out her arms, placing them all in her arms "Bring them home with you, I'm sure you have a laptop at home you can use."
