LISA'S POV

I sent her a message once.

She didn't reply.

I sent her two more.

She's not replying.

I tried calling her.

It went directly to voicemail.

"Fucking-" I was about to throw my phone against the wall, but thought of her sending me a message in a couple of minutes.

So I decided to wait a little longer.

Jesus Christ.

It's only been half a day since she got home but I'm already this worried.

Should I come to her house and beg her to stay with me?

Because what if she's ignoring me and decided not to complicate things by just staying away from me?

"Lisa where are you going?" Siwon asks as he saw me going down the staircase with my pants and leather jacket on.

"To Jennie."

I was rushing towards the door.

"This late?" he shouted from behind. It's already 11:30 PM.

I just shrugged. Waiting makes me anxious.

Thank God Dara's already asleep around this time.

Just when I was about to drive off my bike, a huge lightning covered the sky, followed by a loud thunder.

I ignored it and roared my bike's engine to life.

Heck, I didn't even mind when rain started to pour on my way to her. I just had trouble with my helmet when the rain kept blurring my vision.

Still, I couldn't slow down when all I could think of is Jennie.

As I turned on a corner, a white flash of light startled me followed by a beep. My turn was so sudden I didn't realize it was a truck coming, but I quickly shifted my weight to the other side and turned away the bike.

I got dizzy. Everything's happening too fast, I felt my bike sliping as I went in circles just to avoid the truck.

Next thing I know, my helmet hit the road and my body aches as it followed.

Holy shit.

Thank God I let go of the handle so the bike didn't weight on me.

I groaned in pain. My shoulders and hips hurt the most, but it's bearable.

I lifted up the glass on my helmet so I could breathe properly.

"Hey I'm sorry I didn't see you coming," the old man from the truck approached me as he soaked from the rain, panic was evident in his voice, "I'll bring you to the hospital."

"No, no," I inhaled deep before trying to stand. I winced from the physical pain I felt.

"Careful," he helped me stand.

When I was already on my both feet, I got myself used to the pain first before letting go of his assistance.

"I'm sorry it was my fault too, but you don't have to bring me to the hospital. I'll just check if my bike is still working then I'll go ahead," I managed to say.

"Are you serious? You're injured, how can you still drive it?" he asked, but helped me walk towards my bike lying on the ground.

"It's nothing I can't handle."

"I can drive you to where you're going," he offered.

"No it's okay," I breathed deep as I crouched down to lift up my bike while he helped me too on doing it.

I silently noted to myself not to let Jennie ride on a bike again, not even with me. I'll bring my car whenever I'll fetch her so it will be safer for her.

I frowned seeing the scratches on my bike, but thank God it's still working properly.

"Drive safely," the old man reminded me once I hop on my bike.

"Thanks," I nodded at him before driving off.

The rain didn't even stop from pouring, but this time I slowed down a little. I can't fucking die like this, not when I've finally found someone to make this lifetime worthwhile.

And I'm getting her no matter what.

I stopped in front of her house, frowning when I realized that her bedroom's light is already off. I quickly took my helmet off and went down the bike.

Maybe she's already sleeping?

I still tried my luck and typed her a message.

To Jennie: I'm outside your house. Can we talk?

But before I even got the chance to press send, her bedroom light flickered open. I quickly sent her the message and glued my eyes on her window.

After a few moments the door opened silently, revealing the girl I love.

I quickly ran towards the house so she wouldn't be drenched from the rain, not even minding the pain I feel from the accident, but the girl was so stubborn and met me halfway. At least she brought an umbrella.

"Lisa!" her eyes widened eyeing me up and down, sheltering me under he umbrella, "What were you thinking, driving under this heavy rain? You might get sick and-"

"Baby you're all I can think about but don't blame yourself," I held her hand and sighed, feeling a bit of her warmth. In that moment all the physical and emotional pain were gone.

She was silenced by what I said.

When I felt her shiver, obviously because it's cold with my drenched hand holding her and us, standing in the middle of the rain, I quickly pulled her back to their front porch.

When she finally turned off the umbrella, she faced me with a frown. She's really upset as she eyed my wet clothes, what more if she learns I've been in an accident?

I also made a mental note not to let her know that anymore.

Her feline eyes warmed up when it went up to my eyes.

I have so many things running on my mind earlier, but it feels like they all vanished the moment I saw her.

"I'll lend you some clothes, let's go to my room," she commanded just as she was about to turn her heels on but I quickly held her arm.

"And get risk being caught inside your room? I don't think your mom would go easy on us anymore."

JENNIE'S POV

My heart is racing too fast. Too fast and too loud, I wonder if she hears it too.

Her hold on my arm slid down to my hand. I looked at our hands intertwined, my body naturally closing our gap as I buried myself in her chest. This day was so draining, I can't help but be thankful she came.

"Jen you're gonna get wet," she protested but I just removed my hand on her so I could hug her with both my arms.

I don't mind the cold. I just really need her, her presence is enough to keep me warm.

She didn't utter another word and just heaved as I felt her slowly wrap her arms on me, her lips pressed on my temple.

"Stubborn," she whispers.

My lips broke into a smile as I closed my eyes. I listened to her heartbeat, never knowing it was this calming to be like this with someone.

I couldn't figure out if her heartbeat was so calm, or it was just pacing up with mine so I couldn't figure out whether it was too fast or just even.

She was stroking my hair when she asked, "You were avoiding me earlier, I was losing my shit."

I opened my eyes as I felt myself grow nervous, "I was just thinking. I didn't know what to do."

"Were you thinking of leaving me?" her hand stops on stroking my hair as she asked me that serious question.

She pulls away to look me in the eyes.

I bit my lip, "It just crossed my mind. But all I wanted was to think, really. I didn't mean to avoid you."

Still, she looked hurt. Her eyes really shows her rawest emotions. I couldn't say it didn't affect me.

"Even after I told you I love you?" her voice broke, her eyes now tearing up.

My heart skipped when she mentioned the L-word but I mostly panicked when I saw tears in her eyes. I feel so stupid to make her tear up like this.

"Lis..." I trapped her face in my hands, not wanting her eyes to ever look away but she did, "Lisa, look at me please?"

Now she's being stubborn.

"Baby please?"

I got her by the endearment. I almost smiled, if only she didn't look at me with her pained eyes.

"You wanted to leave me," her forehead creased, forming lines on it.

I raised my arms higher so I could reach it and massage those frustrating lines away.

"No baby I wouldn't," I whispered, bringing my eyes back on hers, whose focus was now on my lips.

I couldn't help but lick my lower lip.

She groaned when I did and her doe eyes went up to mine, "Now all I want is to kiss you."

"Why won't you?" I raised a brow as I fight off my smile.

"I'm still angry you wanted to leave me behind," she says, but her voice didn't emit anger, just sadness.

"But I really wouldn't," I pouted, trying to brush my lips on hers.

"Stop doing that, you know I won't be able to avoid it if you'll kiss me," her brows furrowed.

"Then please don't be angry at me anymore, Lili," I said sweetly.

Her breathing hitched as she pulled me closer to her body, "I'm not angry at you, Nini."

"You just said so earlier-"

"I said I'm angry you wanted to leave me behind, not at you," she furrowed her brows.

I couldn't help but smile.

"But I already said I wouldn't."

"You wouldn't?"

I nodded.

"Really?" she asks, making sure.

"Yeah."

"What about your mom?"

"She understands."

"Understands what?"

"That I love you."

Her eyes widened, too wide I almost laughed if only it didn't make me nervous.

"W-What?" she stuttered.

I dropped my hands on her shoulders and squeezed it, "I said I love you."

"Did you tell her that because you wanted to reason out to her or did you tell her that because-"

"Because I love you, Lisa," I cut her off.

"Then that means we love each other, right?" her eyes glistened with tears as she asked like a child wanting for some assurance that she is loved back.

I giggled, "Yeah, we love each other."

She smiled wide.

"God I love you so much Jennie," she kisses me on the forehead, then on the nose, before on the lips.

I squeezed my eyes closed as she kissed me, longing and sweet. Delicate yet possesive. And so much, too much love in it. I'm so in love with this woman.

I squeezed her shoulder once more, but I couldn't help but notice her wince as we kissed.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Nothing," she leans once again to go back on kissing me but I dodged her lips.

"No, tell me what's wrong first."

She groaned, "Nini..."

"Tell me," I crossed my arms. I can feel it since earlier, like she's in pain or something.

She scratched her head as she took a glimpse of her bike. I gasped when I saw huge scrapes on it.

"I might've been on a tiny accident on the way here but I swear it wasn't anything serious," she silently says.

My mouth hung open, "And you didn't get treated first before going here?"

"The man from the truck offered to bring me to the hospital-"

"Truck?!" I couldn't help but be more shocked.

"Yeah, it was kinda my fault anyways I was overspeeding."

"Okay that's it, you're spending the night with me-" her eyes twinkled with excitement, aish this pervert!

"And no sex, you perv! You're injured for Pete's sake!" I added, making her frown.

I took her hand and silently guided her towards my room before she even got the chance to complain.
