15- Deep And Masculine

"Remove the glasses," Roxy instructed Mia.

"Nope, don't touch my glasses," I said.

"Well, it's either glasses or a dress. It's up to you." Roxy said.

I groaned.

"Fine." I pulled off my glasses and placed them on my desk.

If you're wondering what's going on we're going to Aaron's party. Well, I'm being forced to go.

"Now change into this," Roxy said handing me a crop top and jeans.

"Nope, I'm not wearing that crop top. I'm already sacrificing my glasses." I told her.

"Fine what do you want to wear?" she complied.

"A t-shirt."

"No. No. Nope. Never. Nada."

"Well, then I'm not going," I argued.

"Fine, but at least let it be cute," she said.

"Why will it matter? I'm wearing my hoodie on it. No one is gonna see it." I deadpanned.

"Ugh so difficult. You're removing your hoodie when we get there," she said.

"But-"

"No buts now let's find a cute shirt for you. Not a t-shirt."

I groaned.

Why???

Why did I ever agree to this party?

Why did I agree to let Roxy find an outfit for me?

Why did I still want to go to the party no matter how annoying it was?

Why did I want to see Alex so badly?

Whoa, where did that last one come from?

"Hey Angela I found a shirt for you," Roxy said.

"Is it decent? Non-revealing? Something I would like?" I questioned suspiciously.

"Yes, yes, and maybe?" she replied.

"Lemme see then."

She revealed a light blue shirt with sleeves that stopped mid wrist and a part where you could tie at the bottom.

"It's good," I said.

"Finally can you wear them now? The boys come in about 30 minutes." Mia said. She had quit being Roxy's assistant. Apparently it was too stressful.

💟💟💟

"The boys are here!!!" yelled Mia.

"Yeah, we know." I said, "Now stop screaming before you burst my eardrums."

She laughed and followed us downstairs.

We got into Ethan's car but only he and Chase was in there.

"Where Alex?" I asked.

"He's meeting us at the party. He's helping set up." Ethan answered and Roxy wiggled her eyebrows.

I rolled my eyes.

"I was just asking since he invited me. It would be rude to invite someone and not come." I said trying to justify my actions.

"Sure, that's what they all say," said Mia.

I blew a breath. They always do this. Well they've been doing it this entire week.

"Anyway, can we go?" I asked.

"Sure thing."

Then we sped off.

💟💟💟

Ethan stopped the car in front of a large house. It almost looked like a mansion. Maybe it was a mansion.

"Here we are," Ethan said in a sing-songy voice.

We walked out of the car and into the mansion. The stench of alcohol hit me as soon as we walked in.

I scrunched my nose up as I looked around. There was nothing special about this. Was this what people do every day?

"Hazel you made it." a voice said making me jump.

"Oh my god Alex. Why do you always scare me like that?" I muttered glaring at him.

He shrugged with a smile.

"I don't know it's fun" he smirked, "Now would you like to dance?"

I scrunched my nose. "Sorry I can't dance. I have two left feet."

"Don't worry Hazel, I won't let you fall or hurt yourself," he said placing my hand in his.

He then pulled me toward the center of the room.

"Noooo! I don't want to dance. Can we just stand in the corner? Or something?" I said desperately, "Seriously you do not want to see me dance. It's really embarrassing and I won't even blame you if you pretend to not know me."

He just chuckled at my attempts to prevent him from seeing me dance.

"Now I really want to see you dance," he said.

Ugh! I hate myself for doing this. He's going to laugh at me for the rest of my life.

"Fine." I muttered, "Just don't say I didn't warn you."

I started dancing along to the song while closing my eyes in fear of his reaction.

"Not bad Hazel, but can you do this," he said.

He then proceeded to do some of the most complicated dance moves I've ever seen.

Show off.

I rolled my eyes but tried to copy his moves. I think it's safe to say that I failed miserably. Well, at least that was my guess by the way he was laughing.

"Ok, ok. You can shut up now it wasn't that funny." I muttered irritated.

"Ok, I'm sorry Hazel but that was the most hilarious thing I've ever seen since Chase decided it was a good idea to drink some hot sauce." He commented with a laugh, "And he's supposed to be the smartest one."

I laughed.

"You know you have a really nice laugh." he said, "Beautiful even."

My face felt hot at his compliment.

"Thanks." I whispered, "Now can we go that wall and pretend we're anywhere but here."

He nodded his head and walked ahead of me.

"So, I'm guessing you don't like this party?"

"Wow, you're a smart one," I replied.

He smiled and shook his head.

"I like your outfit by the way," he said and I looked down at my hoodie and jeans.

"Really. You like my outfit." I deadpanned, "Stop fishing for compliments, Anderson."

"I really like it. You're the only one who isn't overdressed here. Well, the only girl. I'm always perfect." he smirked.

Cocky bastard.

"Oh shut it, Anderson," I replied rolling my eyes.

"So we're on a last name basis now? Sweet," he said.

I rolled my eyes.

"Stop rolling your eyes, Hazel." He said.

"Stop rolling your eyes Hazel," I said mimicking him.

"I don't sound like that." He complained.

"Yes, you do. Your voice is like all deep and masculine." I replied.

"And that was not what you just did." He said.

"Shut up."

"Ok then," he said raising up his hands in defense.

"Oh look who it is." a voice sneered.

I knew who it was already.

"Why are you even here? In that ridiculous outfit?"

I shrugged choosing to ignore her.

"Look at me when I'm talking to you," she commanded.

"Diamond leave her alone. What do you want?" Alex said angrily.

"It's fine can I can handle her," I said putting my hair in a ponytail with the hair tie on my wrist.
