Asher's P.O.V.
It's the night of the dance and my stomach is in knots and I was trying to control myself and it wasn't working. I called Will and only me and him are gonna get ready at my house and the other guys are at Jack's.
I looked at the clock and Will's gonna be here any minute. My heart started to race and I could feel my forehead and hands sweating and I started breathing heavily.
Oh god.
I'm having a panic attack again.
I leaning again the wall and slid down it and tried to level my breathing but it didn't work.
I felt something wet running down my chin and I lifted my hands to see that it was blood. I'm so stressed that I'm getting a panic attack and a bloody nose?
That's just fucking great.
I clenched my jaw and squeezed my eyes shut. I let out a groan and gripped my pants trying to get a little control.
"Asher, hey Asher, man are you okay?" Will asked ran over to me when he entered my room.
I tried saying something but nothing came out of my mouth. I tried shaking my head but I don't even think I did that.
"Okay, just calm down. This is a panic attack. You know what is happening. You are safe. You are okay." Will said in a calming voice putting his hand on my shoulder.
"Okay, now take a deep breath in." He instructed and I did but it was shaky and then I let it out and I kept on doing that for a few more minutes and finally got through it with Will's help.
He helped me up off the ground and I sat down on the bed. "Are you okay?" He asked sitting next to me.
"Yeah." I nodded. "Don't tell anyone about this Will." I said looking in his eyes.
"Asher—" He began.
"Will, I'm serious. Not even Carson." I said nervously.
"Asher, it's nothing to be embarrassed about." He said in a calm voice.
"Promise me Will, you won't say anything?" I asked.
"Okay, I promise. Just tell to me what is going through your head?" He wondered.
"Annie." I laughed out resting my forehead on my hands looking down. "Just Annie." I mumbled.
"It's always Annie. It's always been her. How could have I been so blind for so long?" I thought closing my eyes and I felt something roll down my cheek.
"I'm falling for her, man." I whispered shaking my head wiping my face and glanced over at Will.
"I'm falling so fucking hard."
"Tell her." Was all he said and he was smiling and I nodded.
"I'll try." I said clearing my throat standing up.
"No, you will." He stated and walked out of my room.
"Okay." I said to myself.
Once me and Will got dressed, we walked downstairs and I saw my mom holding her camera and a huge smile.
"Ugh, mom." I complained rolling my eyes.
"Come on, you never go to dances. I need this." She said still smiling.
"We don't even have girls here." I said in a duh tone.
"I'm here." London said smiling and jumped up into Will's arms.
Yeah, she has a small crush on him. And by small I mean massive. But it's cute and he's always been sweet with her.
"And me." Avi said smiling and jumped up on me and I glared down at him and he was just smirking up at me.
"Mom! Take the picture! He's gonna drop me soon." Avi commands our mom and I couldn't help but let out a small laugh and I smiled as she took a bunch of pictures of us.
It was low key, kinda fun.
"Okay okay, now with me." My mom said and handed the camera to Will and he took a bunch of pictures of just me and her and I liked that too.
I feel like I was kinda distant with my family lately so I'm glad this is all happening. I'm obviously not gonna tell them that though.
"Okay, mom. We gotta go. We're spending the night at Jack's so I'll see you sometime tomorrow." I said and me and Will headed to the door.
"Okay, I'll see you tomorrow. Love you both." My mom called after us.
Once we got to the dance we met up the guys and we all did our bro shake and all that shit as usual.
I looked over to my right and saw the girls and... Annie. God, she looks like a fucking angel in her dress.
I didn't think that she could get anymore gorgeous and now I know she can't.
There is nothing above her.
She's perfect.
We started walked towards the girls and Will pulled my aside a little.
"You ready man?" He asked.
"I think so, yeah." I said nodding.
"Good." He said putting his hand on my shoulder.
"Ladies, looking sexy as ever." Jack flirted slipping his arms around Jayden and Anna's waist.
I laughed a little at Jack's comment but then I saw Annie walking closer to me and my heart rate immediately increased.
God, she's so pretty when she smiles.
"Glad to see you're finally embracing you're Pretty Boy name." She smiled.
"You look so beautiful Annie." I said with a small smile.
"Easy there, that almost sounded like a compliment." She giggled making me absolutely melt.
It was...
I just looked down.
"Y-you wanna dance?" I asked sounded a little more nervous then I'd like. She smiled at me and grabbed my hand, shooting tingles up my arm, and we walked out to the dance floor.
I put my hands around Annie's waist and she put her arms around my shoulders and we began swaying with the music.
"Did you think that this would ever happen? You finally dancing with the love of your life?" She teased smiling.
Nope, but I'm glad it's happening right now.
I just smiled looking down trying not to blush.
"Well, this is the first time I've seen a Chicken Girl dance so..." I trailed off causing her to laugh.
"Lucky you." She said holding up her wrist a little showing her CG bracelet.
I smiled remembered the Cracker Jack's box bracelet that she gave me on our first tutoring session. And for the next minute we didn't say anything just dancing and that was all I needed.
"Alright everyone. We're gonna slow it down a bit more. So go get that special someone and bring em out and hold em close." The MC said into the microphone and I frowned.
I looked over Annie's shoulder and saw Will and he gave me the look and I nodded
"Thanks for the dance." She said taking her hands away from me and she was going to walk away but I kept my hands around her.
"Um, Asher? Did you not hear the dude? This is a couple dance?" She said sounding confused looking up at me.
Yeah, I heard. That's why we're still here together.
I didn't say anything to her or even look at her. I pressed my lips together trying to think of how I should do this.
I just pulled her body a little closer to mine and kept dancing.
"Asher?" She repeated and then I finally looked down at her.
Just do it, don't be a little bitch.
"It was never just a kiss." I said and Annie just stared up at me confused.
"Huh?" Was all she said. I held up my wrists and pulled up my sleeve a little showing the beaded bracelet from the Cracker Jack's box.
I saw her mouth opened a little and I put my hands back around her and looked into her beautiful brown eyes.
"That day we first met. You said it was 'just a kiss' but it wasn't. It was just about the best thing that ever happened to me." I smiled causing her eyes to widen a little... hopefully in a good way.
"Wh-what?" She asked still staring up at me and I didn't reply to her and just leaned down and I kissed her.
And after a second I pulled back to see her completely shocked.
"Wha- did you just- you mean... you ki- huh?" She stuttered out and I just chuckled at her confused.
"I like you LeBlanc." I confessed smiling down at her. "I mean like, like you."
"Holy actually shit. God, I think I'm gonna puke." She said putting her hand to her mouth.
Well, fuck me then. And fuck you Will for telling my to tell her.
I dropped my hands down to my sides and looked at the floor.
"Wh-what no, no. I mean in a good way. A total good way." She said tilting my head to look at her to see that she was smiling and I got butterflies in my stomach.
"Really?" I asked hesitant but with a small smile.
She grabbed my hands and put them around her waist, wrapping her arms around my neck, and rested her chin on my shoulder. "Really." She whispered and I immediately hugged her and I made a weird little sound but I didn't care. Not one bit.
I finally opened my eyes and saw Will, who was dancing with Lilia smiling at me and he nodded and I couldn't help but smile.
This is the best day ever.
