Aaliyah went over to Jameel. He was sleeping peacefully, so she ran her hand over his face, and in his hair. Jameel stirred and grabbed her hand. Aaliyah left her hand there. It had been ages since Jameel had held her hand. Aaliyah kissed his forehead. Please remember me she thought. I need you.
Jameel woke suddenly as Aaliyah pulled her hand back. He looked at her, smiling. Aaliyah thought he had remembered.
"Thank you for looking after my children, after I was hospitalised."
Aaliyah's heart sank. He remembered nothing.
"But, who are you?"
"I'm no one special. I just look after the children."
Aaliyah realised she would have to make him remember. She would make him remember her. She would redo their love story, so he would remember her and their love, and it wouldn't put pressure on him.
He had to remember her. She wouldn't not let him.
She stood up. "I'll make you remember Jameel. You can't forget me and my love."
