A meeting. That's where Samantha is right now, with her parents. She usually didn't go to the pack meetings but today her father made her.

His meaning towards it was "You will soon be the Alpha. So I am going to get you ready by letting you get a feeling of how meetings go. You'll be going to a lot of them. Better to start you now then later," Samantha still didn't understand why but she didn't tell her father that. He had a short temper, she wondered where she got it from.

She was staring at the Blue Moon's Alpha and Luna, Chris and Gala. They were discussing the rouges and what they should do. Samantha's father made the decision to let his best wolves out into the woods and hunt them down.

They were not to kill them but teach them a lesson. Samantha was going to make sure she was one of them. She had to get them back, they hurt her mate, she's not going to let that slide.

The meeting came to an end after the agreement.

Samantha signed and ran her hand through her hair before standing from the long table. Everyone was saying goodbyes and leaving.

Taylor, Jessica's mother was seen and Samantha stiffly made her way over to her.

She smiled as a greeting and so did Taylor.

"Uh, Luna Taylor?" Samantha asked nervously, she didn't know how Taylor would act or think of this question.

"Yes, Samantha?" Taylor asked politely. She didn't have anything against the Blacks, it was the Alpha's who didn't like each other, Taylor actually took a liking in the girl when she helped her daughter.

"I just.. you see.. how-how is J-Jessica?" Samantha cursed herself for looking nervous. Could she help it? No, she was talking to Jessica's mother.

Taylor did a little smirk but it was gone as fast as it came.

"She's fine darling, she seems a little down and she's sore, from the after affect of the attack," Taylor told the girl.

"That's great. I uh- I'll get going now. Thank you for the update," Samantha and Taylor both bid each other goodbye.

Samantha walked out of the building, the sun hitting her skin making her smile slightly. She loved hot weather, it didn't bother her as much as everyone else.

"Oh my god! SAMANTHA!" Samantha's eyes widened at her best friend's voice. They haven't spoken in a year. Samantha did that on purpose she couldn't let her know she's a werewolf.

She turned around to be brought into a bone crushing hug. She gasped but hugged the girl back just as tight.

"Oh.My.God. we need to catch up, like now" Kristen pulled back from the hug and smiled brightly at her best friend.

"What? now?" Samantha was glad to see her best friend but she was going to go text Jessica to see if she's really ok. They haven't texted yet because Samantha was debating if it was too early. They met a week ago but Samantha just can't stop thinking about her.

"Yes now, look let's go to Starbucks get a drink and talk, yeah?" Kristen asked excitedly.

Samantha slowly nodded, she can just text Jessica later..

They walked to Starbucks which wasn't far away and ordered their drinks. They went back outside because the weather was great and they sat down at a table with two chairs.

"So... Samantha, how have you been?" Kristen asked her as she took a sip from her cup.

" I've been..alright. I mean I did graduate last year and all. But I've decided not to go to college," Samantha replied as she too drank from her cup.

Kristen's blue eyes looked upset for a moment "I remember you telling me in junior year that college to you sounded like too much work. Is that why you're not going?"

"Well..yes and no. I feel like I'd be pushing myself too much of I go because we both know that my brain literally hurts when learning," both giggled, it's true " and plus I have an... important job coming to me so it'll keep me busy."

"A job?" Samantha nodded as she looked off at the cars that were driving on the road behind Kristen, "what job? Does it pay good?"

"Uh.." Samantha looked off and then coughed awkwardly "I uh, the job is.. private I can't tell you. It's nothing bad it's just I have to keep it to myself. And I guess it pays well" Samantha hurriedly said and put her straw into her mouth looking away from Kristen.

Kristen studied her, she knew she was lying but who was she to say something about it. They haven't talked for some time, Samantha probably didn't want to open up to her all the way.

So Kristen nodded.

They talked and talked about what has been going on in life. Kristen tells Samantha that she's a part time nurse, she's in college, she has grown a passion to photography, and she just moved back down here six months ago.

They talked a little bit more before Samantha got a text from her mother.

Mama C: Go to Walmart and shop for the pack house. I'll give you a list of things. It's a lot but you aren't busy so you can do it

It had an attached photo of the list and she didn't lie when she said it was a lot. Samantha sighed heavily before looking up at Kristen who was looking at her amused.

"You have to shop don't you" Kristen asked with a knowing smile.

"How did you know?"

"Honey I know you, your mother used to always make you run errands and when she does you'd always do that heavy sighing," Kristen explained with a smirk.

Samantha shook her head amused.

"I should've known. You can read me just like book, but sorry I have to go, I could text you.." Samantha said questioningly handing her phone to Kristen.

"Oh yea, anytime you want," Kristen said giving Samantha's phone back once she was done. They both stood and gave each other a hug and said goodbye.

Samantha walked back to the building they had just had the meeting and got into her black Jeep that was parked in the parking lot.

She drove down the street to Walmart and got out her car heading into the market. She grabbed a basket once she was in and headed to the fruit and vegetables section first since it was by the entrance.

She was doing her regular thing, looking and getting the groceries when the smell hit her.

Roses and Vanilla.

She turned her head quickly down the isle but didn't see any sign of the person. She hurriedly went and looked down each isle until she was at meats section and there. There Jessica stood with a boy who's arm was over her shoulder.

Samantha had to blink to make sure she wasn't seeing things. She was not. Jessica was here, with a boy.

Fuck no! Samantha's wolf roared out.

Samantha started to shake because of her wolf.

Would you stop it? They're probably just friends and plus..she had to see us with Joshua so now we see how she feels.

That feeling isn't good. Samantha's heart pinched in her chest and she felt jealous.

Samantha wanted to go say hi but she didn't. She didn't want to see them together. What if they really were dating? They couldn't be Samantha didn't want that, but she knew Jessica didn't want her with Joshua either.

So Samantha sighed and pushed her basket in their direction but kept going. She was almost to the drinks until that sweet and calm voice called her.

"Samantha..?" Jessica asked as she grabbed Samantha's wrist turning her around a little to look at her face. It was indeed her.

Jessica's heart speed up and so did Samantha's. Not just from seeing each other but the touch too. Jessica was still holding onto Samantha's wrist. When she noticed she let it go and shyly looked down.

"Hey," Samantha started "What are you doing here?" she asked as she looked over Jessica's shoulder and saw the boy who she was with looking at them confused.

"M-my brother and I are s-shopping for our pack house," Jessica stuttered out. She didn't know why she was doing she just knew Samantha was having an affect on her right now.

Samantha smiled, she already loved Jessica's stutter. She frowned when she saw Jessica blushing in embarrassment, so she gently pulled her chin up making her look into her brown eyes.

"Hey..you don't have to be shy around me, I'm a human..well a..you know..but we're the same. I'm no different from you," Samantha smiled warmly.

Jessica's heart hurt but not from sadness but from the touch of Samantha and her sweet words.

Jessica blushed more, making her green eyes lighter.

"I..." Jessica didn't really know what to say.

Samantha frowned at that but covered it with a smile. "I'm sorry" she brought her hand off Jessica's chin " I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable. I'll just uh..get going," Samantha was turning around until a hand on her wrist stopped her again.

"No..I'm not uncomfortable I just ..don't know what to do..or say to you," Jessica hurriedly explained so Samantha didn't leave.

"Oh well.. uh.. I could help you-" a growl was heard as Samantha was roughly pushed away from Jessica, Jessica gasped loudly.

Samantha groaned as she made contact with the hard floor. She closed her eyes tightly. She slowly opened her eyes and looked up to see the boy who was with Jessica pissed. He was looking at Samantha with hate and disgust.

"Why are you touching my sister? Do you not understand we are ENEMIES! You don't come towards us," He breathed out heavily gaining the attention of bystanders.

Samantha got up slowly grunting in pain. She landed pretty hard. When she was standing she shot the boy a deadly glare that made him flinch but he kept his stance.

Samantha looked pissed now, different from a second ago. Her eyes were flashing from red to her brown. Her wolf was trying so hard to come out.

"Do you not understand that you don't touch a Black?" Samantha gritted out with venom. Her wolf was taking control.

Jessica's eyes widened at the voice change of her mate. She had to calm her down before her wolf can take control in this public place.

"Samantha.." Jessica weakly said, Samantha's eyes glanced at her but they weren't green, they are red, she gasped.

Samantha's wolf was out and ready to play. No one touches them and gets away with it.

Samantha launched forward.
