After leaving Nasir's doctors appointment this afternoon we ended up going to McDonald's. Apparently McDonald's messed up Kemoni's order, giving her a burger instead of her nuggets so he went back and asked them to correct the order but the manager started going off so you know what happened from there. Needless to say, we're yet again banned from another place
"McDonald's Kentrell... you got us banned from McDonald's..."
He looked over at me and started laughing but I held a straight face
"That shit ain't funny. Now what if I wanna McFlurry? I gotta go all the way downtown to another one just to get a damn McFlurry"
"Fuck them damn McFlurrys. They shit be broke anyways" he muttered under his breath while pulling up to Ben's place. He was sitting on the porch as Bryson stood beside him playing with a toy gun
"BRY!" Kemoni yelled as she leaned towards the window with a smile and Nasir his nonchalantly looked over at her, holding his bottle in his hand. Once Kentrell parked the car he got out and got Kemoni out so she could go to Bryson, and then he grabbed Nasir from his car seat while I followed behind him. Once Ben saw us walking over he hung up the phone and smiled
"Noellllllll! Waddup best friend"
"Noellllll" Bryson copied Ben and I rolled my eyes while laughing
"Don't follow ben up" I told Bryson and he laughed before looking at Kemoni
"Moniiiii"
She stopped fiddling with the toy gun he had given her once she walked up to him and frowned up her face "NO!"
"Girl you acting like yo momma now" Ben told Kemoni while he tapped her arm lightly and she looked down at her arm then over at Ben with a nasty look
"Now THATS Kentrell. Matter of fact she's all him"
"That my daughter, duh she gone act like me"
"That MIGHT be your daughter" I shrugged and instantly felt kentrell's hand hit the back of my head
"Ain't no might about that" Ben disagreed "now when it come to you, they might be. Kemoni just got your hair and Nasir ain got shit from you. But when it come to that damn Yb, they got EVERYTHING. Especially Nasir with that nappy ass hair"
"You gone stay off my son. His hair longer than yo babymomma's" Kentrell told ben while Jamie proceeded to walk outside
"Stop talkin bout me dumbass"
Jamie held her car keys in her hand and Kentrell looked at her
"Where you going lookin like that?"
"Like what?" She asked
"That big ol bonnet on yo head. Ben you let cha girl come out lookin like that? She already hard to look at without it on"
Jamie smacked her lips and Kentrell laughed
"I really don't like you. And I'm not his girl"
"Yeah, I'm single" Ben boasted and I looked at them confused
"Huh? I thought y'all was doing good"
"Yeah we were" Jamie answered "but it started getting boring"
"Ion see how you and Yb doing that shit but I got respect for y'all cause I miss being a hoe" Ben bluntly explained and Kentrell burst out laughing
"Nigga..."
"What? Jamie miss being a hoe too"
"I ain say all of that now" Jamie threw her hand up
"So basically y'all just wanna be some hoes again instead of being in a happy relationship?" I asked and they both nodded
"Bryson you got some fucked up parents" Kentrell told him and he started laughing
"Wait I thought y'all were staying together?"
"I still got my apartment" Jamie told me "I'll just go over there when I wanna.... you know... get away"
"Hold up" I rubbed my temple "so y'all still basically staying together, but y'all ain't TOGETHER.. what's the purpose"
"Cause at the end of the day she still mine"
"So why y'all ain just call it a damn open relationship?" Kentrell asked, amused at the moment and Ben slapped Jamie's arm
"That's what that shit called. I knew it"
"Two dumb fucks" Kentrell muttered with a laugh and I shook my head
"Anyways I'm bout to run to the store down the road, Noel you wanna come?"
"No! You ain encouraging my wife to do no hoe activities"
I started laughing as he wrapped his free arm around my shoulders. Mostly blushing because he called me his wife
"I know how to be a good girl Kentrell" I told him as I walked away from him and followed Jamie to her car. We got inside and headed down the road
"Kentrell be having yo ass on lockdown" Jamie joked and I laughed
"What can I say.. he don't play about me"
"I see that.. and I love it. To be honest I can believe y'all been together this long with two kids and y'all fuckin' married"
"It just takes that right one ya know.. but I know nobody thought we were gonna last. Especially you, until you actually got to know me"
"True. And I still feel bad about that"
"Nah it's cool now. That's in the past. You did a whole 360 so ain't no need to hold it over ya head"
"I did forreal. My baby changed me"
"Apparently not too much for you and Ben to be talking bout a damn open relationship"
Once I said they we both laughed and she shook her head
"Hey! Everybody can't be you and Kentrell"
"You right though" I smiled and we continued down the road until we reached a corner store. We both hopped out and as we walked to the door, a group of boys laid their eyes on us from their cars on the far end
"Damn wassup with y'all" one of the guys called out and I rolled my eyes while we went ahead in the store. Jamie went up to the register meanwhile I went and grabbed me something to drink, getting Kemoni and Bryson a juice as well.
Once I reached the register and sat the stuff down Jamie grabbed it and rung it up with whatever else she was buying then looked at me
"Girl you might as well grab Ben and Kentrell a drink two. If anything they bigger babies then Kemoni and Bryson"
"I ain lying" I agreed and before I walked off I looked over at her "Whatchu want to drink?"
"Just grab me a ginger ale"
I nodded and went to get the drinks and could hear a guys voice follow me. I grabbed Jamie, Kentrell and Ben something to drink and as I closed the cooler door, I ran into some guy who was reaching for a bag of chips
"My bad" I apologized and the guy shook his head, looking me up and down
"You good shawty"
Just as I was about to walk past him, he touched my arm
"Say. You gotta man?"
"I'm married boo" I held up my hand and the guy chuckled as I started to walk off again
"Ass lookin' real nice in them jeans"
I rolled my eyes and walked up to the register and sat the stuff down. While the cashier rung it up the guy walked up behind us and I exasperated
"So you still gone act like that?" The guy asked me and Jamie looked back at him
"Tailor? If you'on leave her alone"
"Jamie why you ain our me on?"
"Cause if you love your life you'd leave her alone. That kentrell's girl" Jamie explained as I grabbed the bag from the cashier and tailor chuckled
"Oh damn so YOU fuck with Yb?" He asked with a grin and nodded while looking at me "well when he fuck up again just find me"
"Shut the hell up" Jamie told him while following me out the door.
We went back to her car, ignoring the same boys from earlier and as she started her car, I noticed tailor walking out of the store going to a car where a girl sat in the passenger seat
"Niggas" I shook my head and Jamie looked over at where I was looking then backed out of the parking space
"Girl don't pay him no attention. That's Daejah's brother. And that girl is his dumb ass girlfriend. 9 years, he had two babies on her and she still with him"
"Tuh! I wish I would. Ketrell would be dead right now"
"Okay! But shit she allowing it so that on her"
"Tuh... girls really going out sad bout some niggas" I sighed and grabbed my drink out of the bag, opening it
