Aesop hissed at Naib as he watched him fiddle with his brushes.
"Don't touch them like that! You're going to destroy them!"
Naib rolled his eyes and glared at the embalmer— I mean mercenary.
"Then don't break my elbow pads."
"I'm not breaking your elbow pads!"
"Yes you are!"
"Stop breaking my brushes!"
"I'm not breaking your stupid brushes!"
Aesop hissed again and Naib glowered harder at him. Eli laughed nervously.
"Hey guys, you're meant to switch roles for a whole match. So maybe stop fighting?"
Naib and Aesop turned away from each other. Eli sighed.
"How are they meant to complete the dare like this?" Emily asked, pinching the bridge of her nose. Eli shrugged.
"I'm not sure if they will..."
"Focus on decoding, Naib!" Aesop yelled as Naib went in for the rescue again. Naib face palmed.
"Aw f+ck! I forgot again, aghhhh!"
"You're so stupid!"
"Oh shut up! At least I can rescue!"
"I can rescue too!"
"Your rescuing is dog shi—"
"aaaaAaaaAaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"
Naib and Aesop both watched as Eli flew off to the manor.
Whoops.
"Aesop! Get your head in the game!"
Aesop turned to Naib.
"Me?"
He pointed at himself with disbelief.
"I think you're the one who needs to get their head in the game!" He yelled. Naib twitched.
"Oh please! You're the lousy rescuer here!"
"Says the incompetent decoder! We still have 4 ciphers!"
"We have two people gone!"
They growled at each other.
"It's not my fault!" They yelled in unison. Just before they could fight for real, the hunger surrendered.
Jack met them after the match.
"Please, for the live of god, shut up." He grumbled before walking away.
