Damn this year went by fast
"You look so beautiful! Happy Birthday mommas" I told Kemoni as I recorded her on my Snapchat as she sat on Kentrell's lap as we all were eating breakfast together this morning. She started smiling and reached for the camera but eventually stopped to look at Elena, who sat on the other side of me eating her hash browns.
I stopped recording and Kemoni reached her hand out at Elena, I'm guessing wanting some of her food, and started yelling at her
"What Kemoni?" Elena asked and she smiled then went back to playing in her food. I looked over at Micah and saw him quietly eating but Bryson, on the other end of the table sitting between Jamie and Ben, had his eyes on indiya, Beenie's girlfriend, the whole while
"Bryson you like whatchu See?" I asked him and he looked at me laughing before looking at Indiya again
"He's so cute" indiya chuckled and Beenie made a face at Bryson
"See we gone have some real issues if you'on keep yo eyes off my girl"
Bryson looked at Beenie and smiled "NO!"
"Mama" Kemoni called out to me while she slapped her hand in the whipped cream that sat on top of her waffle, sticking her hand in her mouth
"You bout to mess that dress up girl" I told her and she smiled at me before playing in the whipped cream again
She was dressed in a red and white dress with Minnie Mouse on the front reading Birthday Girl, a red bow was placed on the right side of her curly hair and she wore some cute little red sandals. Once she reached for her Minnie Mouse cup, Kentrell quickly stopped her and grabbed a paper towel, wiping the mess off of her hands and once he was done she grabbed it, sticking it in her mouth
"Ben!" Bryson yelled which made everybody look at him
"The fuck you call me lil nigga?" Ben asked him and he started laughing. Jamie just shook her head and looked at Bryson
"His name is daddy" she tried to correct him but he just shook his head. Liyah burst out laughing while Bryson just chewed on the straw in his drink
"That is yo daddy boy" boomer told Bryson and he shook his head again
"No he ain't"
"Well who daddy he is then?" I asked and Bryson pointed at Jamie, who's eyes nearly popped out of her face.
"What? Boy- you gone stop saying that shit"
"Nah I believe him" Kentrell said to Jamie which made Ben laugh while she rolled her eyes.
As they all continued to talk, I just sat back and looked around observing everybody. As Elena ate her food and held conversation she would occasionally check her phone and text Donovan. Beside her was liyah, who seemed a little distant from baby joe but it wasn't anything too noticeable so I won't ask no questions because it's my baby's birthday and if anything goes wrong I'll throw a fit
Across from baby joe, who was still sitting beside liyah, was Kd, who had yet to say anything to anybody but he wasn't in a grumpy mood or anything. He'd actually been giving off positive vibes since we got here. Then there was Oya, who had came in this morning. Boomer eventually left the conversation and went to help Micah with some game on his tablet and Makayla continued talking. Ben of course was still cracking jokes while Bryson laughed as if he knew what was going on and Jamie just shook her head. Indiya, Beenie's girlfriend just laughed and watched as Beenie joked along with them.
And Kentrell, he would laugh and throw a joke in every now and then but everybody knows 99% of his attention had to go to Kemoni.
"My niecey pooh is finally the big 1!!" Elena randomly said out loud while she looked over at Kemoni. She took the cup from her mouth and smiled, eventually reaching to go to Elena so she rudely crawled all over me to get to her aunt
"Excuse you lil girl"
"Leave my niece alone. She just tryina get to auntie" Elena defended Kemoni and I felt kentrell's arms being thrown over the back of my chair. I rubbed my stomach and looked at Kemoni
"Y'all I gotta whole baby, what the fuck"
"Bitch you gotta whole two babies" Oya said to me with a laugh
"But it don't feel real until you sitting there holding your baby, just watching them. That's when it's like damn..."
I looked at Kemoni again, watching her open and close her mouth sticking her tongue out trying to copy Elena... obviously using the dog filter on Snapchat which was kemoni's favorite. My eyes lingered on my baby girl as she smiled and laughed, still not believing she was all ours. It's been some obstacles over this past year but for Kemoni Dior Gaulden, it was all worth it

After walking around the park for a while I managed to get Kemoni on one of the little boat rides for younger kids, I got her picture taken with a few of the characters and we ate a bunch of snacks while she continued to get Happy Birthdays and hella compliments on how cute she was.
"You are just too cute" an older woman said to Kemoni with a smile while we waited on Kentrell, who went to get me something to drink. Kemoni looked up at the woman from her stroller and started smiling, being nice today for some reason
"I see her shirt says birthday girl, how old is she?"
"Tell her you just turned 1 today" I said to Kemoni, picking her up while she reached for me, wanting to get out of the stroller. She sat down on my lap and the lady reached into her fanny pack pulling out her wallet. She grabbed a bill and folded it then handed it to Kemoni
"Now tell momma to take you to the gift shop and getchu something nice for your birthday"
Kemoni smiled at the money and looked at the lady again
"You didn't have to do that"
"No it's perfectly fine. That beautiful little angel deserves whatever she want.. now y'all enjoy your day"
"You too and thank you"
She smiled at me and as she walked away Kemoni then waved her bye before playing with the money in her hand. When I noticed a blue stripe on the bill in her hand, I grabbed it and unfolded it, seeing the woman gave her a hundred dollar bill
"The hell" I muttered with a laugh while Kentrell walked over to me with a frozen lemonade in his hand. He handed it to me and I looked up at him
"Some old lady just gave this girl a hundred dollars"
"Every time I walk off people always giving her money"
I shrugged and Kemoni practically jumped up on my lap onto her feet, reaching for Kentrell. As soon as he grabbed her, she leaned towards the straw on his drink and put her mouth on it, drinking from it
"Where we supposed to meet everybody at, I know it's 'bout 5:30 already"
" posed to meet at that restaurant you wanted to go to."
"Oh, okay. What time is it?" I pulled out my phone and looked at the time. It was 5:39 "oh hell. We late"
Kentrell laughed and I stood up, sighing because my back was hurting and I was over walking, grabbed the stroller and started pushing it while Kentrell carried Kemoni as we headed to find everybody else
By the time we reached the restaurant it was 5:53 and not only was it almost time for our reservation, but everybody was there waiting on us and we were immediately seated.
"Look at those chandeliers" I told Kentrell as I looked up at the ceiling. He looked up at the ceiling and of course his twin had to do the same thing
"Kemoni Whatchu lookin at?" Boomer asked her and she smiled, putting her hand in her mouth while she looked at him
"Aye, y'all gotta see this video right here" Ben told us as he started cracking up, handing his phone to me and Jamie smacked her lips while she rocked Bryson who had fallen asleep
"That is not funny"
Kentrell and I both looked at the video playing and it was ben recording as Jamie tried to get Bryson to take a picture with Mickey Mouse. As soon as he picked Bryson up he wore a terrorized look on his face, slapped Mickey and literally jumped out of his arms before he took off running while crying. Jamie, who seemed shocked, took off after Bryson and Ben was busy behind the camera cracking up before it eventually ended
"Oh hell" Kentrell laughed and I couldn't get any words out. Instead I was in tears laughing as I watched the video again
"Listen y'all need to get off my baby, okay" Jamie laughed and I handed Ben the phone back, wiping tears from my eyes
"Y'all got me crying.. oh lord I gotta pee now"
Kentrell looked at me and made a stank face "yo pregnant ass always ready to piss"
"Shut up, its your fault" I pushed him a little and stood up, holding onto my stomach
"Hold up, I'm coming witchu" Elena told me as she stood up and followed me to the bathroom. As soon as we walked in I hurried to the biggest stall and used the bathroom
"Yo! I feel so relieved right now" I told Elena from inside the stall and I could hear her laugh. Once I was done I walked out and washed my hands, looking over at her
"You ain't had to use the bathroom?"
She shook her head "I needed to talk to you"
"Oh okay. What's up. I got time cause if I usually sit on the toilet it takes me a while to get up.... I've been lazy this pregnancy"
"You didn't sit on the toilet?"
I shook my head "Hell no. My ass ain't coming in contact with no public toilet cause if I find a bump or something, ima throw a fit."
Elena laughed while I grabbed a paper towel and dried my hands "but whatcha wanted to talk about?"
She leaned back on the sink and crossed her arms "I wasn't gonna day anything but... i'm scared to go to LA"
"Why? I thought you was excited?"
"I was but now that I leave so soon.. I don't know"
"Well, the question is are you scared to move or are you scared because you basically gonna be out there by yourself.... or is it something about Donovan?"
"I don't know. I mean Donovan is perfect but it's like-"
"He's TOO perfect" I finished for her and she nodded
"Yeah."
"I know you said y'all always have long conversations about life and stuff like that all the time, but other than that have you did your own research cause you know not everybody is 100% honest about their dirt in the past. They like to give you as much as they think you'll be able to take or as much as they think you should know"
"No. I figured I should believe him. He hasn't lied to me yet"
"Key word... YET!" I told her and she frowned "I'm not tryina down Donovan or nothing because I love how happy you are with him and I love how he loves you, but you my sister and YOU come before anybody else. Now I say you go out there, live your best life while you can but make sure you doing your research in the process cause if all else goes wrong, you can come back home anytime. Just see if he's a good man like you think, okay?"
"I gotcha" she responded and pushed some of her hair behind her ear
"And we gone keep this between us. Now come on cause I'm hungry and if Kentrell touch my food ima slap him in his wide ass forehead"

"Happy birthday to you!" Everybody sung as Kemoni just smiled while she looked at the candle in the cake while she sat in Minnie mouse's arms. For her birthday she had two cakes, a chocolate Mickey Mouse shaped cake and a two tiered red and white cake with a Minnie Mouse figure on top
"Mama you gone blow out the candle?" I asked her and she reached for Kentrell so he grabbed her and leaned her down towards the candle, blowing it out with her and she covered her face while everybody clapped
"Dada!" Kemoni began to yell as she reached down towards the chocolate Mickey Mouse shaped cake and dug her hand deep into it, pulling out a handful of chocolate cake
"Don't mess up your dress Moni" Micah told her and Kentrell frowned his face up while he looked at her. She mushed her hands together and pressed some cake on kentrell's mouth, trying to get him to eat it
"Yo daddy gone kill you girl" I told her and she laughed, sticking her hand in her mouth afterwards
