no matter how many times she asked tate and jonah to tell her what was going on, they wouldn't answer her, just smiled and said, "it's a surprise."
audrey couldn't even get zach to break, he just covered his ears and started screaming as loud as he could.
so, in the morning, audrey went to the beach with corbyn and christina, third wheeling at its finest. she didn't really mind though, it was peaceful sitting there, tanning and reading a book, stopping once in a while to take pictures of the ocean waves.
as soon as it was four o'clock, however, something changed in the air, and christina and corbyn pulled audrey back to villa, telling her it was time.
"time for what?" she asked, only for her best friend to mime zipping her lips and locking them, throwing away the key.
when she got there, a dress was laying on the bed her and daniel shared, just her size, ready for her to wear.
it was a pale pink, with a sweetheart neckline, stopping right above the knee. christina helped audrey put it on, squealing with joy as audrey spun in a circle.
"it's fucking perfect, kay did a great job picking the dress out!" she said, hugging audrey. "now do your makeup, i need to get ready too."
"wait, what?" audrey asked. "what're you getting ready for?"
"for- i can't tell you, so bye!" christina shouted, running to her bedroom.
gabbie popped in a little later, holding baby lavender in her hands. "almost ready?" she asked, both her and lav dressed in pretty purple dresses.
"okay, what the fuck- i mean frick, is going on?" audrey asked.
"i can't tell you that, so bye!" gabbie said, using one of lav's hands to wave at audrey as she walked away. audrey groaned, starting her makeup.

twenty minutes later, everyone was ready, waiting for audrey to come downstairs. all the couples were matching, jack and gabbie and lav in purple, christina and corbyn in red, tate and jonah in yellow, and zach in blue.
"kay's wearing blue back in california," zach said. "she looks great."
audrey walked down, her hair in its natural waves, makeup sparkling, and eyes bright. "how do i look?"
"holy shit, my best friend's hot," christina said, before glancing at lavender. "i mean, holy moly, my best friend's hot."
gabbie sighed. "whatever. you look stunning, rey."
everyone mumbled agreement, smiling as they all led audrey out the villa and to the beach.
"okay, so it's like a five minute walk from here," corbyn said, looking at audrey. "and daniel's waiting for us there."
"i'm nervous," audrey said quietly to tate.
"why? everything is gonna be perfect," tate said, rubbing audrey's back calmingly. "i promise. you have nothing to worry about."
audrey sighed, following corbyn and christina as they walked to their unknown destination.
suddenly, lights illuminated the sand, and audrey looked around in amazement, her eyes following the bright bulbs.
her eyes stopped as she saw a tall figure in the distance, holding something in his hands.
daniel.
audrey picked up her pace, leaving the rest of the group behind as she ran to daniel, throwing her arms around him. "hi."
daniel wrapped his arms around audrey, "hey."
they let go of each other, audrey looking at the table and tent in shock, her eyes wide. "you did all of this?" she asked in awe, looking at daniel's blue orbs.
"well, i had some help," daniel replied, scratching the back of his neck as he smiled at tate, who gave him a thumbs up.
"anyway, these are for you," daniel said, handing a single rose to audrey. "you look absolutely gorgeous tonight."
audrey blushed, the setting sun showing off her pink cheeks. "and you look very handsome, dani."
"okay, are you two lovebirds done with the flirting? because i wanna eat," zach shouted from the table, where everyone else was already sitting.
"yeah, yeah, we're coming, asshole," daniel shouted, smiling sheepishly as gabbie glared at him.
daniel pulled a chair out for audrey, and then sat next to her, announcing, "let's eat!"
everyone uncovered their plates, all seeing their favorite foods underneath the lids. they all dug in, completely silent as they ate their first few bites.
"so what's the tent for?" audrey asked, curious, looking over at the structure.
"something for just the two of us. later," daniel said, his cheeks reddening. "you'll see."
the rest of dinner was full of laughs, and random conversations, zach even facetiming kay as they ate.
soon, everyone was done eating, and slowly stood up, hugging daniel and audrey before they left, walking back exactly the way they arrived.
zach hugged audrey last, whispering in her ear, "please say yes," before running back to the villa.
audrey stared at zach's disappearing figure, confused.
daniel tapped her shoulder, "ready for the last part of the night?" he asked, his voice suddenly soft.
"nervous, dani?" audrey teased, a small smile on her lips.
"i'm always nervous around you," daniel flirted back.
"smooth, seavey, real smooth."
daniel chuckled, grabbing audrey's right hand and leading her to the tent, which was filled with pillows, flowers, and a large blanket.
a box sat in the middle of the tent, and after both audrey and daniel were seated, he pointed to the box, silently telling her to open it.
inside, there was a small box, and an envelope, which audrey opened, unfolding the paper and beginning to read.

the moment i saw you almost three months ago was the moment my whole life changed. i knew after that night that i would never be able to forget you. even after you left and i thought that i had no chance of seeing you again, you were always in my head. and after seeing you in new york, i knew that fate had brought us together, because we were meant to be.
and i know i've hurt you, and knowing that i've done that hurts me a lot too. but you've been kind enough to forgive me, and make everything right again.

audrey looked up, seeing daniel's bright blue eyes staring intently at her.
"i know i'm not the best at sappy letters, but jonah told me to just write my heart out, and if you don't like it-," daniel started, but he was silenced with a soft kiss to his lips.
"i love it," audrey said, her voice holding the slightest bit of disbelief. "i love all of it."
"i love you." she said, hugging daniel tightly.
"okay, now open the other box." daniel said, excited.
a small pearl necklace rested inside, sparkling in the light. audrey squealed, picking it up and letting daniel clasp it around her neck. "it's so beautiful, oh my god."
daniel smiled, all his teeth on show. "and now, i have one last question for you."
audrey nodded, butterflies fluttering in her stomach.
"will you be mine?"
audrey laughed, her hand covering her mouth as she nodded rapidly, a tear escaping her eyes. "of course i will."
their lips met each other passionately, daniel gripping audrey's waist as they kissed.
they broke apart, gasping for air as they smiled wide, eyes bright with love and happiness.
daniel sat back in the tent, pulling audrey against his chest so that she was in between his legs, her head resting against his chest.
"thank you for all of this," she said softly, staring at the dark ocean waves, illuminated by the lights around the tent.
"anything for you, my love."
