Trinitie's P.O.V

Mac left us on December 5. I didn't even get to spend Christmas with her. It was now fifteen days later, December 20. Donnie was working in his lab, trying to make a watch to show the appearance of a human.

I was getting ready to go Christmas shopping with April, dressing warm in Donnie's hoodie. Ever since he let me use it, I haven't given it back. It was so comfortable.

I found where I had stuffed the money that my dad had gotten me, and counted it up to a total of two thousand, six hundred and thirty five dollars. I don't know who would actually keep that much money in their wallet.

Oh yeah me.... and my dad apparently.

I was dressed in Donnie's hoodie, black skinny jeans, and my different colored converse. Of course they were red with green laces and green with red laces. A black and grey striped beanie was perched on top of my head, the icon of a skull on the side of it. No make up painted my face, and I had in some Christmas tree earrings in my ears.

You could say that I loved Christmas.

I did miss Halloween, which is actually my favorite holiday, so I wanted to go all out on this one.

Ever since Mac left, Donnie had been doing all kinds of things with me to get my mind off of it. He had caught me trying to cut myself once.

I walked into Donnie's room, thinking about Mac once more. Donnie had been forced to train, because he had been skipping it to make sure I was okay. It's very sweet of him. I had been excused.

I look through his drawers to find the knife I knew he used to cut himself with. Maybe he still does, because there is some dried blood on the sides, but he wouldn't do that. Hopefully.

Sitting down on the bed, I looked at the blade. It's your fault that Mac's parents are gone. It's your fault they get killed, something said to me.

If you hadn't gone home with Mac and went to your own house, she wouldn't have gotten kidnapped with you.

If you had just stayed at TCRI, then they wouldn't have targeted her.

If I had done those things she would be happy with her life, be happy with her family, who would still be alive.

It's your fault.

It's your fault.

It's your fault.

It's your fault.

It's my fault.

I stared at the knife in my hands. Was I brave enough to do this? Was I faking depression, or wanting attention?

Your weak.

Always crying.

Never doing anything for yourself.

Weak.

I was weak.

The pain inside of me needed to go away.

The only way for that to happen is to do it.

Put the blade on your skin.

Cut it.

Just as I was about to do what the voice was commanding, Donnie bursted into the room, hot and sweaty. Once he saw me, he froze, than ran over to me and ripped the knife from my hands, slamming it on the ground, successfully smashing it.

There were tears in his eyes as he looked at me. "Why?"

"It's my fault that Mac's parents died. That she left. It's all my fault." I confessed, and tears arose in my eyes, blurring my vision. "And I keep crying about everything. I'm weak. I'm an attention seeker. I'm weak."

He pulled into his arms, tears falling down his face. "No. No, your not. Crying does not mean you are weak. Look what I'm doing right now. I'm crying. Does that make me weak?"

"No."

"Exactly. So It shouldn't make you weak either. Your a strong, beautiful, talented human being who can do wonders in her life. But what good would she be if she was gone? And it's not your fault Mac. From what I could see in my dream about you two, she asked you of you wanted to come over."

"But I could've just went home-" I started, and he shook his head, silencing me.

"Your family was at home. They were awful to you. You would take every opportunity to not be there, so no, it's not your fault."

"There was a voice in my head. It was telling me that the knife would take the pain away." Donnie cringed.

"That happens. It tricks you. Feeds off your pain, and gets stronger every time you give into it. I don't want any scars to harm your beautifulness anyway. It would hurt me more than it would hurt you." He hugged me tightly once more, not leaving my side again after that.

After that had happened, I hadn't been left alone at all, besides using the bathroom, at which Donnie removed every sharp object. He did leave the razor though, but it was the kind your not able to injure yourself with. I always liked at how determined he was at protecting me.

I walked into the living room where April was patiently waiting for me. She was dressed in a tan wool coat, black leggings, and snow boots. A black ear covering hat was on top of her head, and she wore some gloves.

"I guess your gonna be a little warmer than me, huh?" I grinned lopsidedly.

She gave me a smile back. "Yeah. You ready?" I nodded my head.

"Let's just tell Donnie that I'm leaving." I told her, and she nodded and smiled, but something seemed a little off.

I gave her a warily look before leaving to go to Donnie's lab. He was still working on an important project, and stood up hurriedly once I entered the room. I tried to peak over his shoulder, but frankly he was too tall, and he pushed me down by my shoulders.

"Nu uh. It's a surprise. Are you all ready to go?" He asked, looking over my outfit. It wasn't in a weird way, but in a way to make sure if I was going to be warm enough.

"Yep. I can't wait, I haven't been shopping in a while. I wanna see what new stuff they have at Hot Topic." I said excitedly.

"Good." He stepped toward me, and my heart sped up a little. He leaned in, and I thought he was going to kiss me, but he directed it to where his lips brushed my forehead. "Have fun." He said, shooing me out of his lab before I could get a peak of anything.

I deflated once he closed the door behind me. We haven't really kissed in a while. It was probably because I wanted to take it slow, and he was respecting my wishes. Suddenly, I got an idea, and a huge mile plastered my face.

I knew what I was going to get him.

-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-

We were at the store now, and I had all kinds of different presents for everyone in my bag, and some things for me from Hot Topic. I completely love that store.

We chatted about anything and everything. In one store, we had to exit quickly because we were laughing so hard. This woman across the store had a beard that was so noticeable that we could see it from where we were.

At the checkout of the last store, I had bought some skittles, because I was in need of something fruity, and I was waiting for April to get to where I was. I wasn't allowed to be with her because she was buying my present. I already bought hers. It was utterly adorable.

I couldn't help but be suspicious of her though. She seemed a little off. Her smiles were strained, her giggles forced most of the time. She looked guilty, and whenever I brought up the subject of someone she might like, she would change it and talk about something completely different.

I just shrugged it off. Maybe something was happening at school. Speaking of school..

"I think I'm gonna ask if I can go back to school. We know why the Kraang needed me, deleted the information, and I can protect myself. I'm going to ask sensei. Maybe Donnie can work the system to make sure I don't fail the year." I smiled, but furrowed my eyebrows when she twitched at the mention of Donnie's name.

Before I could say anything about it, she said hurriedly,"Yah. That'd be great. Are you ready to go?" She asked.

I thought about it, and I knew that I had everything I needed. I nodded then, and we walked back to the sewers, bags lining up and down our arms.

Once there, I hid the presents in the hole I found in the sewers, and it was nice and clean. The presents were conveniently already wrapped, and I knew that no one would find them. April did though, but I trusted her. I helped her hide her own presents, and we walked back into the lair.

It was colder in the sewers, so I kept my warm clothes on as I walked confidently to Master Splinters door. Gathering the courage, I brought my fist up to the door and knocked softly. The door opened, and I took a step back, coming face to face with Sensei.

"Yes, my child?" He asked, smiling down at me. My nervousness left, and I smiled a toothy smile at him.

"I was wondering if I could go back to school. I mean, we know why the Kraang needed me, and if they ever come back, I can protect myself. And-" I was cut off by his chuckling.

"If you think you are ready, then so do I. I trust you." He told me, and I smiled hugely.

Catching him by surprise, I hugged him. After a moment, he hugged me back. He let go, and looked at me like a father would his child before making a shooing gesture with his hands.

"Go and be with the others now. I must continue my meditation."

"Hai Sensei." I bowed obediently, and scurried off. I couldn't wait to tell Donnie the news.

Walking around, my stomach grumbled, and I decided to direct my course to the kitchen. In there, I saw Mikey. He was sitting on the counter, a slice of pizza in his hand.

"Hey Mikestar. What's up?" I asked, grabbing myself a slice of the pickle pepperoni. He scrunched his nose at my choice, but continued our conversation.

"Good. But I'm a little sad." He admitted, looking over at me. I was concerned immediately.

"Why is that?" I asked, intrigued.

"We don't get to hang out very much. You only spend time with Donnie. We like you too, Trinitie." He said sadly, and I felt the guilt being pressed upon me.

I looked at him sadly. "I'm sorry. I'll spend more time with y'all then. I promise. We can start right now, but I do need to tell Donnie..." I trailed off when he looked at the ground, the pizza hung limply in his hands. "I can tell Donnie later. What do you want to do?"

He thought for a moment. "Before we do something, can I make up my own nickname for you? Donnie has all kinds, and I want to have one that only I can call you. To be special."

I nodded, smiling about how cute he was. "Sure. Have at it Mikey."

"Hmm.. Nity? No, that makes you sound like a cat.. How about angelcakes?" He smiled happily, and I just couldn't say no to that face, so I smiled.

"That's wonderful Mikey. It's perfect." I said, and he beamed.

Apparently, I had been eating my pizza the whole time, because it was already gone. He finished is in only one bite, and I winced as I watched it go down his throat. He didn't seem to notice how painful that was though, and he leaned toward me, and told me the plan of what he wanted to do.

I smiled wickedly, and helped him get the supplies. He kept it in his room, and it was the messiest place I had ever seen. Comics and action figures piled on the floor, the most prized ones posed on the shelves.

We hurriedly gathered what we needed, and got ready in our positions, waiting for the first victim. It seemed that luck was not with Leo, because he was the one to turn the corner first.

He was then a second later covered in pink paint and glitter from head to toe, because we had hurled at least three water balloons each at his figure. He sighed, already knowing who it was by our fits of laughter.

I was laughing along with Mikey, and we were on the floor clutching our stomachs, which were jerking with spasms. Leo, unfortunately, did not look to be in a happy mood.

He ran a hand down his face, causing the paint to spread. My stomach was dying now, and tears were running down my face. I wiped some of them away as I gasped out,"You should have seen your face! You were like," I laughed, and did the horrified expression he made, causing Mikey to burst into another fit of giggles. I laughed some more also, and I was pretty sure I was loosing a lot of belly weight just by how much it has moved.

When we we both finally sobered, only a few bursts of giggles here and there, Mikey stood up, offering me his hand. I took it, and he pulled me to my feet. I let go and faced Leo.

"Please tell me this is washable..." He pleaded, but our silence meant everything.

"Well, on the container, it said if you got it on your skin, it takes a few days for it to completely get off, and that's only with three to four showers a day." I giggled.

He sighed, obviously annoyed at the both of us. "Don't worry Leo. You'll forgive me once Christmas rolls around." I smiled, and he actually grinned.

"That one was a pretty good one by the way. Your punishment is to clean the mess up off the floors and walls. How long does that take?" He grinned evily, but then scowled when we told him the answer.

"Almost at once. And that's only with soap." Mikey exclaimed, already heading off to get the cleaning supplies. Once I finally got a good look at Leo, I could just see how....pink he was now.

"At least it won't stain my mask." He grumbled, just loud enough for me to hear.

"About that..." I trailed off, and he threw his arms in the air.

"Oh come on!" He shouted, and I giggled.

"Just joking." He sighed in relief. And then I added, "Maybe."

I helped Mikey clean up the mess then, Leo walking off to take his first shower of the day, and within five minutes, it was like the pink sparkles were never there. We then put everything away, mocking Leo's face as we did.

"I even managed to get it on video!" I exclaimed, showing him my T-Phone.

"We are prankster MASTAS angelcakes!" Mikey announced.

"Yah, you make a pretty good sidekick, Mikey." I shrugged, and he rolled his eyes at me.

"I'm the one who came up with the idea!" He defended.

"And I'm the one who carried it out the best!" I argued, and we walked into the living room, planning on playing some video games. "I bet I can beat you at Mario Kart!" I challenged, grinning evily.

He smiled smugly. "Your on."
