i know i can't stop the storms
that rest in the crevices of your mind.
i know i can't stop the comments
that eat up at you during the night,
slowly gnawing away at your sanity
threatening to tear you down.
i know i can't stop the people
who rip away your voice
leaving you desperately speechless.
there are so many things that i know i can't stop
because i am only one person
but as long as i can stand here
and hold your hand through all of it
then hopefully that will be enough.
