"Again!" Vegeta shouted, his patience with the girl running thin.
Luna gathered a good amount of energy in her hand, just like he had taught her, before launching it in his direction. The Saiyan made no move to dodge it as her attack hit him right in the chest, knocking him back a bit but otherwise doing very little damage...
"Argh! This isn't getting us anywhere!" He shouted angrily, glaring at the purple haired woman in front of him while getting an idea.
"No wonder Frieza saw it fit to exterminate your disgustingly weak race..."
Luna's eyes went wide for a moment, her brain registering what he had just said before her body reacted on instinct alone. She rushed forward, delivering a swift kick to the prince's side that sent him flying a good distance as she dove after him quickly, continuing to pummel him with punches before raising both hands in the air with a scream.
Vegeta's confident smirk fell from his face as it was replaced with a look of shock as he watched the ball of energy in her hands get bigger and bigger before she threw it down where he was laying. He fought his urge to dodge as he was mildly impressed with how much he was able to teach the girl in a short amount of time.
Maybe she will prove somewhat useful after all... He thought, bracing himself for the pain as her attack hit him full force.
Luna floated in the air, panting in exhaustion as she glared down at the crater where the Saiyan had just been. They had been at this for hours and Luna didn't know how much more she could take.
That bastard... He just had to push me... She frowned, waiting for the smoke from her attack to clear as she sighed. She flew down to where she saw him crouched, approaching cautiously as she kneeled beside him, the familiar blue glow of her healing energy casting a light over his badly injured shoulder.
A hand shot up, grabbing her wrist as he stopped her, making her gasp in surprise.
"You have to know," Vegeta rasped, staring at her with one eye shut in pain. "It will take more than a pathetic attack like that to almost kill me."
Luna frowned, yanking her arm from his grasp as she stood up, glaring down at the stubborn Saiyan.
"Well, sorry!" She yelled, fed up with his whole 'I'm better than you' attitude. "I'm doing the best I can here! And despite you criticizing me and my race, I'm still trying to help you!" Luna finished with a sigh, knowing it was in her best interest to keep her calm around someone who could easily kill her.
"You know, this would be a lot easier if you would just let Krillin and Gohan fight you... Then, I could heal-"
"I am NOT teaming up with those weaklings!"
"You said it yourself!" Luna shouted in frustration, her patience completely gone. "Every moment we waste, Frieza is making plans to kill us all! Just hear me out Vegeta..." She tried, hoping he would at least listen to her argument. "Frieza needs to be stopped... I don't care who is the one to do it! We've both lost so much because of that monster... Our people, our planets..." Luna continued, her voice becoming more solemn as she thought back on everything that was gone forever.
"I understand what it's like to lose everything Vegeta... Please... We have to do anything in our power to stop him-"
"The only way that will happen is if I'm able to make my wish for immortality!" He growled, slamming his fist on the ground before standing up and walking away.
"I'll talk to Krillin and Gohan!" Luna pleaded, willing to take that risk. "I know we can't defeat him on our own-"
Vegeta held up a finger, effectively silencing her as she watched him direct his attention towards something in the distance.
"It seems you'll be talking to your little friends sooner than you think..." He stated before glaring in her direction. "Let's go! They've finally decided to show themselves..."
Luna's eyes lit up, hoping to Kami that the Saiyan would keep his promise as she noticed Vegeta pick up one of the dragonballs before walking back towards her.
"Vegeta, wha-"
He grabbed her around the waist, holding her close to his chest as he floated up slowly. "You fly too slow." He explained, tired of the questioning look she was giving him as he took off, speeding towards the place where he felt the Earthling's energy.

Meanwhile, with Gohan and Krillin...
...
"Keep it up Gohan!" Krillin shouted, glancing over at the boy flying next to him. "We're getting close! Guru's house should be just ahead..."
"Right." The dark haired boy nodded, concentrating on the destination ahead as Krillin frowned, returning his attention to his own thoughts.
I hope it wasn't a mistake to use our full power getting here... But if Guru can release Gohan's powers, there's a chance he'll be strong enough that we can take on Vegeta! But the more I think about it... I'm not so sure...
The bald man thought back to not so long ago when he had witnessed the Saiyan destroy that green haired man like he was nothing as he visably shuddered from the memory.
That guy is like a bottomless pit... He thought while scanning the horizon carefully. Somehow he just keeps pulling out more and more power! If we can just get Gohan powered up before Goku gets here, maybe the four of us can actually beat Vegeta! I just hope that Luna's still doing alright...
A large tower of rocks up ahead made Krillin genuinely smile as he shouted happily. "Gohan, there it is! Dead ahead, on top of that tall peak!"
"Alright!" Gohan cheered, grinning at his friend as he listened to him laugh excitedly.
"I can't believe we actually made it!" Krillin admitted, chuckling to himself before a huge power in the distance made him stop in his tracks. "Hold it Gohan... I think we've got ourselves some company..."
Gohan stopped, wondering what he was talking about as he suddenly felt it too. Oh no! Vegeta! He thought anxiously, shaking a bit as he remembered his last encounter with the angry Saiyan.
"It's Vegeta!" Krillin stammered, obviously nervous as well as he stared in the direction he felt the immense power coming from.
"I- I know! What do we do?!"
"Gohan... I'll stay here and try to hold him off for a while..." Krillin said, sensing Luna's power level approaching as well as he breathed a sigh of relief. "I want you to go on ahead to Guru's house without me..."
"B-but Krillin-"
"Don't argue! Just go! Now!" He ordered, glaring at the small boy seriously as he finally nodded before flying away.
Krillin growled, waiting anxiously as he sensed the Saiyan's power getting closer and closer until...
"W-what?!"
In an instant, Vegeta had flown right by him, stopping suddenly only a few feet away before the bald man even had a chance to react. H-how can I compete with that?! Krillin wondered while turning around quickly, noticing that he had Luna and one of the dragonballs under each arm.
"Well..." The Saiyan smirked, glaring at the smaller man in front of him as Luna squirmed.
"What do you want Vegeta?" Krillin growled. "How did you find us?"
"What do I want? Oh, I'm just here to say hello..." The Saiyan in question laughed sarcastically before his tone turned serious. "Don't play ignorant with me. I want the four star dragonball, the one I had hidden in the lake... And I know you've got it."
"Um, you can put me down now!" Luna hissed, getting the Vegeta's attention as he glared at her before releasing her from his grasp. "Thank you!" She finished sarcastically, happy to be flying on her own once again.
"Luna!" Krillin shouted, sending a small smile her way, "You alright?"
"Yeah, I'm fine..." She replied, glancing at Vegeta before floating over towards the bald man who seemed a little confused. "Krillin..." She said, placing a hand on the shorter man's shoulder, "Where's Gohan? And where's the last dragonball?"
"Wha... Why do you need to know?" He asked defensively, looking back at the Saiyan who was still smirking.
Luna sighed, taking her hand off his shoulder as she knew this conversation would be a tough one. "Listen Krillin... We need to work together. We're all wasting time fighting each other when the real monster is out there..."
"What! Are you crazy?!" He shouted, staring at her as if she was now the enemy. "He's the monster! You saw what he did Luna! Gohan told me about what he found at that village where Vegeta hid the dragonball... He killed all those innocent people... Is that who you want to team up with?!"
"I don't want anyone else to die!" Luna yelled, her voice close to cracking. "You don't understand... Frieza will kill us all! He'll make his wish for immortality and then there will be nothing that can stop him!" She looked into his eyes, trying to find the words to explain the horrors she had witnessed when Freiza destroyed her home planet.
"You've never seen it Krillin... You've never seen everything you've loved burn in front of you-"
Vegeta and Krillin jumped suddenly, catching Luna off guard as she watched them both while wondering what the hell was going on.
"There's a huge power level coming from that mountain..." Vegeta said, glaring at Luna and Krillin. "So, that's where you were headed... Is that where you've hidden the dragonball as well?"
"N-no! You're wrong!" Krillin tried, but it was too late. Without another word, Vegeta took off towards the large rock formation as Krillin and Luna glanced at each other with worried expressions, quickly following after him.
"What is this place?" Vegeta said to himself as he landed on the grass outside the strange looking building, Krillin and Luna landing right behind him.
"Hey! Stop right there! I'm warning you!" Krillin shouted as the Saiyan ignored him, continuing to walk towards the white dome.
Luna looked up, watching as a serious looking Nail appeared in the doorway. He eyed Vegeta distastefully, his eyes glancing over to where Krillin and Luna stood for a moment before returning his attention to the spiky haired man.
"Leave now."
"Hmpf. I don't think so..." Vegeta replied, sending the green man a devious smirk as the two continued to glare at each other.
Just then an huge amount of energy got everyone's attention as Luna watched a smile spread across Krillin's face.
"That power... There's only one person that could be..." Vegeta mumbled, grimacing before turning towards the dome house. "So you've come to settle the score at last, have you?!" The Saiyan shouted, raising a fist in the air as everyone watched while feeling a bit confused.
"Here I am, Kakarot!"
