“James,” Valkyrie panted as he rolled to his side and looked at her, his breathing as heavy as hers, “We’re in the Bahamas for goodness sake, we have to go out and enjoy the sun!”

“Yeah,” he grinned at her, caressing her naked torso with his fingertips, his smile widening at her shiver, “You’re probably right.”

“So stop taking my bikini off before we even head to the door,” Val moaned as his hand travelled lower and lower.

“Would you rather I took it off outside?” Bucky whispered huskily as he put a finger in her core, languidly stroking her.

“You are the devil,” Val ground out as she arched against his hand.

“And you love me for it,” Bucky said before he crawled on top of her and claimed her mouth again for a kiss.

They had been in the villa for 4 days now, and all they had done was christen every single room and piece of furniture there was with their love making.

Day 1: all three bedrooms and bathrooms. Day 2: Kitchen and Game room. Day 3: Val managed to sneak away from a sleeping Barnes on the floor of the game room, slip on her blue string bikini and soak up a bit of sun in the lounge chair by the Villa’s pool. Which was where James found her, and they christened the pool, the lounge chairs, and the Jacuzzi.

Day 4 and they were on the living room carpet.

“I didn’t know that the serum actually gave you unrelenting, insatiable sex drive, Sergeant,” Val gasped as she wound down from her umpteenth orgasm of the day.

“No, that’s not the serum. I think I was  already insatiable before it,,” James kissed her nose and sat up, panting as he tried to get his heartbeat back to normal, pushing his hair away from his face, “I missed you for the past two years.”

Val sat up and kissed him sweetly on the lips, she played with the pendant she gave him, “I can’t keep going like this, Bucky, you’ll break me in half, I swear.”

James laughed, “You seem to be holding up just fine, gorgeous,” he caressed her back.

“Nope, no,” Val said shaking her head and standing up, stepping away from James, “Enough. We’ve been at it since this morning, and I’m hungry.” She said, walking to the kitchen.

“But, Cami,” James whined, following her to the kitchen, “It’s still 3 pm!”

“Oh, shut up, Barnes,” she threw back at him as she picked up one of his discarded shirts on the kitchen floor and put it on. It reached her thighs, the sleeves hanging loosely on her shoulders, “I don’t want you, anymore, I want food,” she stated as she opened the refrigerator and James chuckled.

“Fine, fine,” and he found a pair of his boxers on the kitchen counter and slipped them on, “While you fix dinner, I think I’ll, uh, clean up the house.”

Val laughed, “Don’t forget to check the pool, too, I think you threw my suit onto the grass somewhere,” she grinned at him as she pulled out some chicken and potatoes from the fridge.

“Duly noted,” James chuckled as he started picking up their clothes around the kitchen, but he paused and kissed her neck before he left to clean up the rest of the house.

Val giggled as he left, then muttered, “Sex monster.”

Bucky woke up in one of the bedrooms the next morning; groggily, he reached out beside him and found the bed empty. He sat up, immediately alert, then heard Val singing from behind the bathroom door. He smiled contentedly, but God, did she wear him out.

“Morning,” he rumbled as Val stepped out of the bathroom, fully clothed in a pale yellow halter maxi-dress, her hair hung in damp curtains around her face, her homemade silver bangles clinking together as she ran a brush through it.

“Good morning, love,” she smiled at him. He would never get tired of her calling him that.

“Where are you off to?” he asked, reaching for her.

“Oh, no, James, I am not stepping anywhere within your reach,” she wagged a finger at his cheeky smile, “I want to take a walk on the beach before it gets too hot. Want to join me?”

“I might in a while,” he answered as he watched her slowly walk to the door, all the while eyeing him cautiously. She knew if he wanted to catch her he could in a second.

“Don’t,” she told him as he started to get up, “Just today, please, James, can we take a walk on the beach without you pouncing on me like a bunny in heat?” she begged and James laughed.

“Bunny?” he quirked a brow at her description.

“Fine,” she rolled her eyes as she walked out the door, “A wolf, happy?”

“Not unless you get over here,” he grinned.

“Whatever,” she smiled, “See you in a few minutes down there, yeah?”

“Yeah,” James answered, stretching as she shut the door behind her.

“Camilla?” James called as he walked down the shoreline of the beach by the villa they rented, shielding his eyes from the glare of the sun; he wondered where his lover could have gone. Deciding that maybe they had missed each other, he doubled back and made his way back to the house, his gray board shorts making a shuffling noise as he walked. He smiled at himself, he loved that woman. She was absolutely beautiful, yes, but he loved the way she would look at him when they woke up, the way she wouldn’t shy away from his cold, disguised metal hand, the way she somehow saw the man behind the monster HYDRA made him to be. He loved her laugh, her smile, her everything.

Ah, Barnes, when did you get so cheesy?  He pushed his hair out of his eyes, and then he stopped. He was a few feet from the villa’s back gate, he looked up and saw a small plane hovering over the house, the engine was a little loud, but he heard it. There was the sound of furniture being overturned, and he heard Val give a small shout before everything went quiet again. He sprinted to the house, heart pounding in his throat. The gate was locked. Kicking it down, he rushed to the pool. One of the lounge chairs was in the pool, while another lay broken by the gate. He looked up and saw the plane start to speed off.

“Camilla!” he shouted, as he ran into the house, but he already knew he wouldn’t find her there. He ran through the house, calling her name frantically. He walked back outside, she was gone, and not of her own free will. He looked at the wreckage around the pool and noticed there were black feathers scattered on the grass. She had struggled, using her wings to distract her kidnappers, he realized. But they still caught her. Only one thought went through his head: HYDRA.

He ran into the house and into the untouched living room. He picked up the mobile phone Tony had given them before they left; it was a secure line, direct to Stark’s personal phone. Bucky was glad the man forced him to take it. He called the only number on the contact list and looked at the TV. There was a note on it.

Turn on the TV, Winter Soldier.

Bucky reached for the remote on the coffee table and pushed the power button. As soon as it turned on, the screen turned red, and a few seconds after that, HYDRA’s logo flashed on it. Bucky sat down on the sofa, his mind blank, and the phone in his hand ringing.

“Hello?” Stark said from the other end; when Bucky didn’t answer, “Barnes? You there, bud? What happened?”

“Yeah, I’m here,” he brought the phone up to his ear, all the while staring at the TV. The HYDRA logo began to fade out and was replaced by a man. The man on the TV had short, black, wavy hair, cold, dark green eyes, and a sneer on his face.

Bonjour, mon amie,” he said in a gruff voice, “I see you have finally turned on your television,” he had a heavy French accent.

Barnes tried not to crush the phone in his hand as Tony asked, “Who’s that? Where’s Angel?”

“Now, Monsieur Soldier, oui?” the man asked, quirking an arrogant brow, “I cannot see you, but I’m sure you are devastated at the loss of your Valkyrie, non?”

“Barnes! What does he mean you lost Valkyrie?” Tony screamed into the phone, “I’m putting you on speaker, increase the volume of that message, will you?” James did as he was instructed, still in a daze, and he heard Stark call Banner and Barton. He also heard him tell JARVIS to contact Fury, and the rest of the Avengers.

“Now,” the man said, “No sudden actions, Monsieur,I do not want to hurt your belle dame, but if you involve your friends, I might not have a choice.”

James gulped, “Don’t worry, bud, he won’t know you’re calling us,” Tony assured him, “I’m tracking his signal as we speak.”

“Ah, but where are my manners?” the man grinned, “I am The Vanguard, or so I am known, but you must know my real identity by now, oui? Anyway, I have been employed to take you back to your previous, ah, employers, I should say. But then, when we came to get you, who do I find but this absolutely tres belle woman who, incidentally, I have been hunting down for the past decade?” he laughed, “Ah, just my luck, non? Such coincidence. Mon Cherie,” he called out to the side, “Come here!” and a man dragged a struggling Val into view, she was still in the same dress, but the skirt was ripped in places, her hair a total mess. Her right eyebrow was split open, a gag was on her mouth, and her hands were tied behind her, she had trouble standing behind the camera as the man who brought her in helped her balance herself, and Bucky realized they had tied her ankles together as well.

“I do apologize for the blood, monsieur, but it could not be helped,” Vanguard shook his head in mock regret, “You have a fighter here, but then, you already knew that. This is what I propose: I let her live in exchange for your return. You do not need to make this decision now,” Vanguard said, sounding like he was giving James a very good deal, “You have seven days. If by the seventh day I do not see you on my doorstep, at this time exactly, she dies. Do not worry, though, I shall make sure to give you her body when I am done with her; although it might be in pieces.” He grinned maniacally.

Bucky looked at Val, and saw her shaking her head, her eyes pleading for him not to do what the Vanguard told him to.

“As for my location, Winter Soldier,” Vanguard said, “I am sure you can figure that out,” he smiled one more time, and the TV went red again.

Valkyrie glared at Garret’s back. She should have tracked him down and killed him a decade ago. He swiveled his chair away from the camera and looked at her. Garret St. Clair was a handsome man, that couldn’t be denied, with his high cheekbones, strong jaw, dark green eyes and once perfectly shaped nose that had been broken once, coupled with his tall, fit frame and dark unruly hair; he was the boy every father warned their daughters of. Too bad he was a hired mercenary; he would have been a wonderful male model.

“Ah, mon Cherie,” he shook his head at Val’s glare, “Do not look at me like that.” He gestured to one of his men to take her gag off, “You know I was going to find you one way or another.”

Val licked her lips, “Took you long enough,” she sneered, “But I don’t think you would have found me without the help of your new employers.”

Garret stood up, Val could feel the anger radiating from him as he walked slowly towards her and held her face in his hand, “Do not test me, Valentin,” he whispered, “I can kill you in the same way I killed your brother.”

Val snarled and tried to bite his hand, he laughed at her attempt, “I thought your brother was the animal, it seems there is a wild thing in you, as well.” He chuckled.

“He won’t come for me,” Val told him, “So just kill me now.”

“Giving up so easily, mon amour?” he teased, “He will come for you. I am sure of it. After all, he does love you, non?”

Val  gasped, “How?”

“We have been watching you, Mademoiselle Valentin,” he grinned at her shocked expression, “My employers still have spies inside your sacred organization.”

“You will pay for this, Garret,” Val growled as he commanded his men to take her away, “I will make sure of it.”
