Mallory lead me down the stairs into the basement and I see a group of people including Calum and Ashton. "Okay guys! This is Breanna!" A guy with black and white hair comes up to me with a huge smile on his face. "Hi there." I smile back at him and wave a little at him. Mallory looks awkwardly at Michael and chuckles lightly. "Mikey, please don't make her uncomfortable.. Go get Maggie." Michael walks over to a girl with curly hair and grabs her hand. "That's his girlfriend." Mallory whispers. I nod my head and smile when they get closer.
"Breanna, this is Maggie, Maggie this is Breanna." Mallory introduces us. Michael looks down at Maggie adoringly and entwines their fingers together. "It's nice to meet you." Maggie says sweetly. "Likewise." I reply. Michael and Maggie walk back over to the couch and sit down next to a really tall blonde guy with a girl sitting in his lap. "The other guy over there is Luke and that's his girlfriend, Sarah." Mallory pauses for a second then calls them over. "Luke and Sarah come here!" Sarah stands up and grabs Luke's hand dragging him with her.
"Wow so nice to finally meet you!" Sarah says with a sweet smile. Luke removes his hand from Sarah's grasp but then wraps his arm around her waist. "Yeah. Nice to meet you." Luke replies. "Yeah it's great to match names with faces!" I laugh to myself.
Ashton walks up behind Mallory and rests his chin on the top of her head. "Boys, I think it's time to start practice." They guys all nod agreeingly and go up on to the small platform I am assuming they use as a stage. Ashton gives Mallory a quick peck on the cheek and walks to his drum kit. I look back over to Mallory and notice she's blushing. "You and Ashton are so cute." Mallory covers her face with her hands and the looks up. "You know after all this time, you'd think he wouldn't still make me nervous.."
She grabs my arm gently and leads me over to the couch in front of their makeshift stage. Luke and Sarah are sitting on the couch in the middle of a very intense makeout session and Mallory has to pull them apart. "Guys. Enough. Wait 'till you get back home for Christ's sake." Sarah pulls back immediately embarrassed to have been caught. Luke stands up smirking down at Sarah and nods. "Later baby. I promise." He says seductively and I couldn't help but laugh at the redness on Sarah's cheeks. Mallory shakes her head and takes a seat on the couch next to Maggie.
Surprisingly, we all fit on the couch comfortably so we could watch the boys practice. I notice Calum standing towards the right of Luke with a bass guitar. He is really attractive. Like, damn. Why would some girl cheat when they have that fine piece of meat? Wait, I should not be thinking like that. I can't develope a little crush on Calum.. He obviously doesn't have any interest in me.
"Babe, what song do you wanna hear first?" Luke says over his microphone. Sarah looks to us as if asking our opinions. Maggie shrugs her shoulders. "Breanna, do you remember any of the songs I showed you?" Mallory asked.
Mallory sent me all of their songs on a CD and I listened to them. I really enjoyed all of them but 'Close as Strangers' really stuck out to me. It was such a beautiful song and meaningful. I didn't know what voice belonged to the guys but I did have a favorite. There isn't a way to describe his voice but it was just so rich and cute. I personally thought it was beautiful.
"Can you play Close as Strangers?" I ask. The boys nod their heads, well all except Calum. I really don't know what I did wrong. He just doesn't like me I guess. I can understand sort of, I mean I have met people I don't like but usually I would give them a chance. See, this is just another reason I shouldn't have a small crush on him. He wants nothing to do with me.
'Six weeks since I've been away and now you're saying everything has changed'
Michael sang beautifully looking directly at Maggie. You could really tell how he felt about her just by watching him look at her.
'Are we wasting time, talking on a broken line, telling you I haven't seen your face in ages, I feel like we're as close as strangers'
Luke picked up the chorus sounding fantastic. He was smiling down at Sarah and sent her a small wink which sent Sarah into a fit of giggles. She was just plain smitten by that boy and he was whipped. You could tell.
'Late night calls and another text, is this is good as we're gonna get? Another timezone taking me away from you'
Of course, Calum was the voice I had fallen in love with. I couldn't help but smile to myself at the fact that it had to be Calum. In a perfect world, Calum could be a nice guy who might possibly have a crush on me and who knows what could happen then, but this isn't a perfect world. It's the real world and not all dreams and hopes come true.
They finished up the song and they all did very well. Ashton didn't sing, but I know he can. I have heard Mallory mention his "angelic voice that was sent from the heavens" over 1000 times. It's okay though, I understand that she loves him. I can't be too upset because I want what she has. Maybe someday soon I will have it too.
All the girls applauded and cheered for them, I even think I saw a tear escape down Sarah's cheek but I couldn't be sure. The guys all thanked them and continued to practice whatever songs the girls wanted to hear. It went on for probably another 2 hours, but I didn't mind I was really enjoying myself listening to all their music.
"Maggie ready to go?" Michael questions quickly. She nods her head and bids her goodbyes to the group. Luke soon walks over and pulls Sarah up so fast that she crashes into his chest. "Babe, let's go back to my place.." Luke breathed into her ear. I guess he was trying to whisper but I'm pretty sure we all heard him.
Sarah looked at us awkwardly and turned the darkest shade of pink but nodded to Luke. "Okay.. Um, well.. Mallory I'll see you later. You too, Breanna. Lets all hang out sometime!" I looked up to her and smiles agreeing to her plan. They walked out the back door hanging all over each other.
"So.. Do you like them?" Mallory questioned. "Yeah, they're all really nice." Mallory laughed to herself at my response. "Sorry about Sarah and Luke. They never stop."
Just as I was about to reply, Calum and Ashton walked over. Ashton pulled Mallory off the couch so he could sit down but then gently pulld her down onto his lap. "Do you guys wanna go out for pizza or something?" Ashton quesioned.
Honestly, I was exhausted from jetlag and just being busy for the past week getting ready for this trip. The only thing I really wanted to do was go take a nap. I am pretty sure Mallory woukdn't mind because I know she takes naps, and when I say naps I mean she's practically dead. She will be asleep for hours before she wakes up. I can't say anything really becuase I am the same way.
"Actually, I'm exhausted. I think I am gonna catch up on some sleep if that's cool, but you guys should go!" I said sincerely. I really did want Mallory to go hang out with Ashton tonight and have some fun.
Calum shuffled awkwardly and looked down at me, then turned to Ashton. "Yeah, man. I am pretty tired myself. I will just head on home." Calum stated.
Ashton nodded. "Alright, see you later bro." Calum nodded slowly and walked out the door.
"Babe, do you wanna go out or stay in?" Ashton looked up at Mallory while playing with a small piece of her hair between his fingers. Mallory looked to me and then back to Ashton.
"Let's go out tomorrow when we can all hang out. Alright?" Mallory suggested. "Yeah that's fine. That cool with you Breanna?" Ashton asked.
"For sure. Okay guys, I'm gonnna head up and get some sleep." I started heading toward the stairs to go into the house.
Mallory stood up from Ashton's lap and followed after me. "Wait, Breanna, I'm coming to. Bye Ashton. I'll see you tomorrow?"
"Yeah babe. I'll text you later." Ashton replied. He walked over to Mallory and planted a lingering kiss on her lips and pulled back. He rested his forehead on hers and they exchanged I love you's. Ashton stepped back and headed towards the door. "Bye Breanna. Bye baby." He waved to us and went out.
We headed upstairs and immediately fell asleep on the bed the second our heads hit the pillow. I guess we were more exhausted than we thought.

omg this is so bad i wish i was i had a million great ideas for this story but i dont. i have a few ideas of where i want this story to go but i just gotta figure out how to get there lol but yeah of youre actually reading this ilysm and dont give up on me yet its going to get better i swear!
calums basically just pissy because his girlfriend cheated but he'll come around soon i promise so yeah breanna dont worry you got him
also i hope sarah likes her and lukes relationship bc i thought it was entertaining
