"Okay Arrex just called, there's an accident up ahead so just follow him off the next exit" Caleb says just after hanging
We were almost to the lake house. It was currently just after ten forty-five. Usually we would be there in another forty minutes but I have a feeling it's going to be longer
"He said we're gonna take a back way there. We're not going to actually get there until after midnight" Caleb adds
I just wanted to get there. Why the hell did I volunteer to drive? All I wanted to do right now is sleep.
"Alright, well since we're going to be stuck in here for another hour and a half, let's listen to some more music" I say turning the volume up. When we first started we were blasting oldies but the later it got, the lower the volume our music got.
He silently reaches over and grabs my phone off my lap to change the song.
"Okay so country or early 2000's?" he questions
"Just put it on shuffle and let the phone choose" I grin as one of my favorite song starts to play "I love this one!"
"Debbie just hit the wall

I sing the first verse while he grins at me
"Okay c'mon Co, I know you like this song" I tease as I turn it up even more
He just rolls his eyes with a grin as I continue to sing. This was one of our favorites when we were little.
" Her two kids in high school" I continue to sing loudly and obnoxiously "They tell her that she uncool cause she still preoccupied
With 19," I paid with a grin before blooming at him "19"
"1985!" Caleb and I both yell while laugh
"She's seen all the classics!
She knows everyline" Caleb sings the first part
"Breakfast club, pretty in pink even Saint Elmos Fire
She rocked out to WHAM!
Not a big Limp Bizkit fan" I continue to yell my favorite line obnoxiously loud.
"Thought she'd get a hand, on a member of Duran Duran
Wheres the mini skirt made of snake skin?
And who's the other guy singing in Van Halen?
When did reality become T.V.?
Whatever happened to sitcoms, game shows on the radio?" Caleb continues
I laughs at the stupid grin he's wearing as I continue to sing. He just shakes his head at me.
I missed these road trips to the beach house. We used to do this all the time when we were little.
"Where the hell are we even going?" I question as we drive down a dark road surrounded by forest on either side
"I've been down this road before" Caleb says looking around "We still have a while until we get there. Do you wanna switch?"
"Nah I'm okay" I huff keeping my eyes in front of me "You didn't want to drive"
"Yeah I don't but you look tired, so I will. Just pull over really quick, we'll switch" he nods
I was pretty fuckin tired, if I had my sweatshirt right now I would probably be falling asleep.
"Oh fine"
I quickly come to a stop on the deserted road and Caleb and I quickly switch spots.
"I brought a sweatshirt, it should be in my duffel bag right behind you" he motions begin us as he starts the truck back up.
I reach behind me and pull his grey duffelbag onto my lap before unzipping it. After grabbing his light blue and grey sweatshirt put I slip it on over my t-shirt. It was huge on me but god was it the most comfortable thing I've ever worn and it smelled amazing.
"Comfy?" He grins at me as I slink down into the seat, resting my head on the center console
"Oh very " I smile "I love this sweatshirt" I mumble quietly as I close my eyes
"Go to sleep princess"
"You sure?"
"Yeah I'll wake you once we get there"
And that was all I needed before I essentially passed the fuck out.

I opened my eyes to see I was still in the truck. We also weren't moving.
I pick my head up as my eyes adjust to the darkness, and notice Caleb is no longer in the truck either.
Okay so one of two things most likely happened. He's peeing or he got murdered.
Should I get out?
Its horror movie 101 to not get out but maybe I should, just to see if Co is okay.
After contemplating for a minute what I should do, I finally decide to step out of the truck, despite my brain telling me not to.
To my great relief I see Caleb on the ground, fully clothed and not stabbed, working on the rear tire.
"Co?" I croak quietly
He jumps slightly at the sound of my voice but nevertheless smiles when he sees me
"Hey Princess" he greets as I approach him
"What happened?" I ask, taking the flashlight from him so he can use both hands to screw the bolt in place
"The tire was flat, I just had to replace it really quick. I'm almost done" He grins
"Did Arrex just go ahead?"
"Yeah we're only like thirty minutes away, I remember the way"
"Are sure about that?" I grin
"I am positive I remember the way to the beach house, it's literally my third home"
"Okay, okay whatever you say" I state sarcastically earning a playful glare from him
I join him on the ground and play with some of the tools as he continues with the bolt.
He took the sweatshirt he was wearing off, leaving him in a pair of basketball shorts and a sleeveless under armour top. The veins in his forearm along with his defined muscles were on full display. He had tattoos winding around his left arm. Ones dedicated to his family, some with other meaning and then some just because. He got his first one on his sixteenth birthday. I would be lying if I said they weren't hot, I've always loved tattoos.
"So are you gonna stare at me or do you wanna help?" He smirks as he places the lug wrench down
"Shut up" I scoff
He was so full of himself.
"Oh don't be embarrassed princess" he chuckles, the smirk growing wider
"Caleb I swear if you don't shut up I'm gonna choke you" I snap with a mischievous grin
"Princess" He smirks looking up at me "you can choke me anytime" he finishes with a wink and I'm pretty sure I just choked on my own spit.
"I hate you" I laugh, punching his shoulder
"No that was hilarious" He says through his laughter "but in all honesty, I'd much rather be the one doing the choking than receiving"
"See I was gonna help you but now you're on your own you kinky fuck" I grin as I stand up and walk back to the front of the truck
"By the way you look great" he grins making me laugh
"Oh yeah" I chuckle as I look down at my outfit. A wrinkly old t-shirt, spandex and now Caleb's sweatshirt. "you know the classic, lazy bitch look?" I cross my arms over my chest s I look at him with a raised brow
He just laughs
"Nah I just like you in my sweatshirt" the smirk returns, this time paired with a wink.
I just roll my eyes at him, I expect nothing less
"Must you flirt with everything?" I question
"Only you babe" he says mindlessly before looking at the tire "Now I could really use your company" he looks back at me, boyish grin still present
"What? Kazer forgot how to replace a tire?" I tease as I walk back to him
"Nope, I still remember vividly. Do you?" He challenges
"Please Kazer" I scoff with a smirk as I plop down next to him "I'm the one who taught you"

"I thought you said you knew the way?" I question, looking over at Caleb
He just huffed and looked at me
"Yeah I lied" he grins
It was currently eleven thirty. This asshole got us lost
"Are you serious right now?!"
"No I'm totally fuckin with you, we're right down the street" he grins
The shit he does to me. I swear I'm gonna kill him one day.
He just laughs at my pouty face but as said before, minutes later we were pulling up to the beach house.
"There ya go princess we're here" he huffs, cutting the ignition and hopping out of the truck.
"I'm tired" I sigh
"C'mon, jump on" he says coming around to my side as we grab our bags from the back seat
"I'll give you a piggy back ride indside"
"It's fine, I'm good Co"
"Are you really?" He smirks "c'mon"
"Oh fine" I roll my eyes as I hop on his back
His hands instinctively go to my thighs to boost me up until Im hanging comfortably in his back
"good?" He questions, turning his head slightly to look at me.
"Great" I rest my head on his shoulder before pressing the lock button on his key fob
"Thanks" he says after hearing the car horn
"Yep"
We make our way into the quiet house and carefully step over everyone sleeping on the living room floor.
"Okay Co, I'm going up to my room" I tell him as he puts me down.
"Alright, goodnight Princess" he grins
"Night Co," I smile before continuing my way upstairs.
I sneak into my room as quietly as possible, Amy and Em were already asleep on my bed.
After dropping my bag in the corner of the room, I take the last open spot on the bed and quickly pass out beside my friends, cuddling closer into Calebs hoodie.
