"Tommy c'mon,please" you begged your brother for the hundredth time. The boys were getting ready to go to London to do business with Alfie and all you asked was if you could go with them or if you could help make peace with the Lee family.
"You're too young,no is no" Tommy calmly spoke,Arthur and John kept their mouths shut. They agreed with Tommy but they didn't want you too get more upset or angry.
"Finn was my age when you let him in the business. It's not fair Tommy!"
"Y/N, you help with the legal side. We just want you safe" Arthur tried to reason with you but you didn't listen.
"It's not fair,you know I can handle myself" you argued but Tommy still didn't care and he didn't say another word on the situation. You let out a yell of frustration and threw Tommy's hat towards him. John and Finn stepped towards you to try and calm you down but you flipped them both off and stormed out of the room.
"You run the legal side. No is no" you mumbled under your breath,mocking Tommy's words as you walked down the street. "I'll show him that I can help and can handle myself" you thought out loud,tugging your peaky hat onto your head and heading to where you knew the Lee family were.
After walking for an hour,you finally made it to the patch of land where the Lee's were based. You could see men roaming around with shotguns but you weren't scared,you were on your own so you weren't a threat. Right?
"Anybody know where Johnny doggs is?" You shouted,making a couple of heads turn your way. Women started whispering "no good Shelby" and the men "Shelby whore". You breathe deeply,making sure you were calm before carrying on.
A few men ran up to you with shotguns, your smile never faltered from your face. "Alright boys? Care to tell me where Johnny is?" You cocked your head to the side,waiting for their answer.
"On your knees" one of them demanded in a gruff voice. You raised your eyebrow and another one repeated it. You looked over the few men stood in front of you and laughed. Y/N Shelby doesn't kneel for anyone. Without a warning,a shot rang through the air and you dropped to your knees. A shooting pain ran through your legs and throughout your body. Your head fell to look down at the hole in your leg,blood running down it.
"Son of a bitch" you whispered as the men dragged you somewhere. Still,your smile never faltered. You refused to show to them that you were scared but inside you were terrified. As you got dragged along,Johnny dogs passed you by. He stopped, mouth open wide as he watched you get dragged along the fields to some caravan thing. You smiled with your teeth and saluted at him before mouthing "get my brothers" Johnny nodded and ran off as quick as he could. Hopefully it wouldn't be too long.
You didn't know how much time had passed. You were sat in a small,dark place. Your head was beginning to hurt,they had beat you for information about your brothers but you said nothing. You were sure your face was cut and bruises were going to form but right now you weren't bothered about that. Tommy was right.
You leaned your head against the wall and closed your eyes for a few seconds before the door flung open and you brothers ran in. Hair messy,hats covered in blood and cuts all over them.
"Y/N!" They all shouted and ran over to you. You lifted your head slightly and smiled the Shelby smile.
"Took you long enough" you let out a small laugh before it turned into a grunt of pain. John and Arthur immediately checked over your injuries while Tommy attempted to pick you up.
"Why the fuck did you do this then kiddo?" Arthur questioned you.
"I just wanted to prove that I wasn't a child and could help" John ruffled your hair and Arthur kissed your forehead,Tommy stayed silent as he carried you to the car.
"Tom,I'm sorry" you mumbled out
"I was scared we lost you today,I said no for a reasons. You are our little sister it's our job to protect you and not let you do this stuff" you nodded and buried your face into your brother's chest. Muttering out a sorry to the boys which surprisingly they all heard.
"Guess I'm just like you, eh tommy? Never listening to anyone" you let out a pained laugh,Tommy shook his head with a small smile on his face while the boys just chuckled.
