TRICIA

"I'll be going, Mom, Dad." I said as I raised from my seat. We just had our breakfast on the garden. Tiana's still on Pangasinan while Theo chose to spend his weekend at Spain with Xyz, his favorite among all our cousins.

"Careful on driving, Justin."

"Cut it out, Terrence. I lost counts of all the dates you turned down for the sake of your company. Mommy rolled her eyes then she walked out.

The shock on my father's face was priceless.

"Your mother has been cranky for a month now. Daig pa ang naglilihi." Dad said with a frown. "She won't even allow me to have my arms around her when we sleep.

I smiled at my worried father. "Why don't you pay a visit to Tita Courtney? Mommy can still be pregnant at 44, right?"

Daddy's face brightened up. "You think so?"

I nodded. "That's a possibility, Dad.

"I'd rather have the first condition, little princess," Dad chuckled then he stood up. He walked to me then kissed my forehead. "Don't settle for anything, Tricia. You're raised to be a queen. Let your husband have it your way. Don't compromise. Boss around."

I shook my head. "That's not how relationships work, Dad." I wrapped my arms around him. I'll be fine. My marriage will work out."

I asked Justin to drop me off at the grocery store on the first floor on Skipper's condo. I am planning to surprise him with a lunch date on his unit. I bought everything needed for my recipe.

I was on my way to the cashier when I walked pass by shelves of chocolates. I was never fond of commercial chocolates, but for some reason I got the strong urge to buy every chocolates my eyes are seeing. Parang bigla akong natakam.

I called for assistance. "I want one for each brand," I said as I pointed to the shelves.

Bring it to the counter when you're done. I'll wait for you there."

I had to wait for five minutes.

I could give her five thousand, kaso ay ang bagal n'ya. After signing the cheque, I handed it to her.

The shock on her face was genuine. "Naku, bawal po 'yan dito," nag-aalalang sabi n'ya.

I arched a brow on her. "Kapag sinita ka ng amo mo, show the cheque to her. Sabihin mo tignan n'ya kung kanino nanggaling. Kung hindi s'ya mananahimik, go straight to the general manager of this tower and tell him I want the manager fired."

I had the girl carry everything I bought.

I nodded at her. "Close the door when you leave."

I started picking up the empty bottles on the floor.

I got my phone from my bag then I called Laila. I need her to clean this unit. I also told her to bring lots of fowers para mapalitan naman ang amoy ng alak dito sa unit. Hindi talaga ako para sa ganito!

I went out of the veranda to breath some fresh air.

I was in the middle of watching the city beneath me when I heard the door opened. I looked at its direction and I found my mother-in-law with a brown grocery bag on her arms.

"Tricia?" Nanay Cleo looked surprised upon seeing me.

"Good morning, Nanay."

"My son almost lose his mind.

"I'm sorry."

I was in the middle of cooking when strong pair of arms wrapped around me.

"I missed you so damn much, signorina." Skipper murmured then he tightened his hold on me. "I'm sorry for hurting you. I promise it was all a misunderstanding. I was on the party to surprise you. I got the blessing from your father to finally announce our marriage. Nakita ko lang d'on si Dax. She sprained her foot and I was just helping her kaya nakakapit s'ya sa braso ko. I swear, baby, that's the truth." May pagmamakaawa sa boses ni Skipper.

I turned to face my husband. God! I missed this handsome face so much. Those fifteen days were lonely.

I gently caress his face.

Skipper's fresh from the bath and he look so hot.

The moment our lips met everything else fades away. I was like a parched land that was blessed with a raid. It started with a kiss on the kitchen and ended up on top of the bed.

"It's the first time I see you eating chocolates, signorina." My husband said as he played with my hair.

Skipper contented himself with a bag of potato chips while I settled on chocolates.

I shrugged. "It's my first time eating this."

Skipper made a thinking sound. "I remembered I gave you Lala when we were kids.

He raised his hands then he smiled sweetly at me.

"Welcome home, signorina Mirielle, my baby."

My eyes warmed up on his words. Those were simple words but it touched my heart. It was as if my heart swelled. I took a deep breath to calm my heart. I literally felt some pain on my chest. I can't get too emotional.

"That's for letting someone else touch what's mine."
