Fox

Foxes were first added to Xanje in May of 2016. There are currently thirty-four patterns for Foxes, two of which are hybrids. Breeding a pair of Foxes requires one green stone. A Fox litter has 1-3 babies.

In Game Description

This tree fox is a small, intelligent, quick-moving canine. It includes species found on all four of Xanje's known worlds, but originated on the world of Peterra, where the common tree fox is found. This fox is quick and agile on the ground and can also climb trees, and often nests in tree hollows, leading to these animals being given their name of tree fox. It mainly hunts small mammals, insects, birds and other small animals. Though most species are solitary or live in pairs, some are known to live in packs. Despite their being found in almost every region, they are rarely seen or heard by humans, preferring to stay hidden for safety.

The blizzard fox makes its home in the cold reaches of the Celestian Mountains of southern Peterra. Though located in a tropical to temperate zone, the temperatures in this particular area of the range are usually very cold, and snow falls year round, due to the high altitude. This fox knows how to survive vicious snowstorms by riding them out in deep burrows it has dug into the ice and snow.

This fox's crystalline pattern and natural shine is most unusual, and is a direct effect of the powers of the Great Stone of Yanneofwëlë, a gigantic rainbow-white rock of great elemental energy that gives the entire region enhanced magic. These highly adaptable Peterran foxes frequently make their homes in abandoned buildings and lots in cities and around factories and industrial complexes. They appear to have a high resistance to poisons and radiation as well as a high tolerance for noise. They also seem to get used to crowded situations more easily. This also makes them great pets.
