”Hi!” I said. Ashton had a black hat, covering his curly hair, a white t-shirt and black jeans. He looked good. ”Come in” I continued. Ashton smiled at me, before he walked in. ”I’m sorry about the mess” I slur. It was just not only a mess. It was cloths, ice cream boxes, moving boxes, empty wine bottles and dishes everywhere. Ashton scratched his neck and I could feel the awkwardness in the air. ”Would you like something to drink?” I asked. ”Yeah, sure” Ashton smiled at me. I walked to the kitchen with Ashton behind me. ”So you found my note?” He asked. ”I did” I answered, with a drunk laugh, as I poured the red wine in a glass. I gave it to me and he smiled as a thank you. ”I see you have had your own party” Ashton said. ”All by myself” I said. ”I don’t know many people in Sydney so...” I explained. ”So that’s why you called me?” Ashton asked. ”Yes” I said. I know I’ve said it before, but I will never drink again. I hate not to have control over my actions and words. Why would I even call him? This was a stupid mistake. ”So you danced alone?” Ashton asked with a smile. ”Yes! I had a rock concert in my living room” I answered and Ashton laughed. Ashton walked over to my computer. ”Then let’s continue the party” Ashton said before he raised the volume. I smiled at him. He put his, pristine wine glass at the kitchen table before he grabbed my hand and led me out to the centre of the living room. He did some cute and weird dance moves and I laughed at him. ”Dance with me” He said as he continued with his movements. I started to dance, just like Ashton with silly moves. We did all kind of moves and I laughed every time Ashton came up with a new one. We dance with our hands, feet and even with our stomachs. We crawled at the floor or jumped high up in the air. We sang along to every song, even if we didn’t know the lyrics. We played with air instruments to every song. We continued to dance, song after song, and I had a really good time. I knew it was mostly because of the alcohol but Ashton made me happy and I bet he would even without alcohol. After a few more songs we sat down at the couch, exhausted by all the dancing. ”I love your pig dance” I said with a laugh. ”I know, it’s my strongest pick up line, or pick up dance” Ashton said before he started to laugh. I smiled at him, before our gaze met. I shouldn’t be looking at his eyes. They hypnotise me. His eyes are perfectly round and his eyelashes is the perfect shape and length. ”Have you put my number into your address book?” Ashton asked. ”No, I haven’t, yet” I mumbled. Ashton smiled as he grabbed my phone from the side table. ”What are you doing?” I asked. ”Adding my number” I looked over Ashton’s shoulder to see that he actually did what he told me. ”Are you naming yourself ‘Ashton the best ever Irwin’?” ”Yes, I am” Ashton said with a smile and I laughed. He was so full of himself. ”You aren’t complaining so I guess you’re agreeing with me?” ”I don’t agree with you, I just don’t want to pick a fight I know I will loose” Ashton smiled widely. ”That’s right, It’s already midnight, by the way” Ashton mentioned, before he laid back my phone at the side table. ”You can stay” I mumbled. ”Stay overnight?” ”Yeah, I don’t want to sleep alone tonight” I laid my head on his shoulder and his arms was quickly wrapped around me. I haven’t thought of Nathan one single time this night. Ashton had made me forget about him, even if it only was for tonight he made me forget. I wanted him to stay, because I know I will start crying when he leaves. I will cry over a ice cream box listening to a sad song, before I fall into sleep. ”Are you sure? I mean last time was...” ”Please” I begged. ”You are drunk and will regret it in the morning” Ashton mumbled, as he touched my hair in a gentle gesture. Ashton was right about me regretting it in the morning. I would probably regret it, but his sweet touch makes me forget about him, and that’s all I ever wanted. With his laughs, beautiful eyes looking into mine and lovely personality Ashton makes me forget. He makes it hurt a little less and he makes me feel happy with every part of my broken heart. ”No, I won’t. Please don’t leave me” I whispered. Ashton kissed my scalp softly. ”Never”
I fell a sleep on Ashton’s shoulder, but woke up a few hours later. I got up and stretched my arms out in the air. ”Are you okay?” Ashton asked. His eyes looked tired. ”Yeah, I’m fine. I just need to go to the bathroom” I said. Ashton smiled at me and I stood up. In the bathroom I washed my face, to remove my make up and I brushed my teeth. I was still very tired and I needed some sleep. I still had the feeling of crying inside of me and I knew I would if it wasn’t for Ashton. He had comforted me tonight and I was so grateful for him. I walked out form the bathroom and found Ashton, half a sleep in the couch. ”Do you wanna sleep in my bed instead? The couch is very uncomfortable” I said. ”It’s fine. You can sleep in there” He said. He sat up and smiled a tired smile at me. ”I don’t mind spending it with you...” I said. Ashton smiled at me. ”Okay” He stood up and followed me into my bedroom. I had totally forgot about the broken glass. ”Shit” I mumbled. ”What happened?” He asked. ”The glass slipped, it was...” I leaned down to pick up the pieces. ”No, Apple, you will get hurt” Ashton said, as he leaned down beside me. He laid his hands over mine. ”We can take care of it tomorrow, let’s just go to sleep” He said with his eyes looking into mine. I nodded and dropped the glass fragments. We laid down in the bed, with the blanket over us. ”I’m sorry that I’m such a mess” I said. ”No you’re not” Ashton replied. ”Yes, I am. I’m a pathetic heartbroken mess” I sighed. ”Shh...” Ashton pulled me into his arms, so I lay against his chest. I was happy to have Ashton here tonight. I was grateful for his sweetness and comfort. ”Thanks for making me forget about him, at least for the night” I whispered. ”Forget about who?” Ashton asked. ”Nathan” I mumbled. ”Who is he?” ”He broke my heart. Just like I broke the wine glass earlier” Ashton looked down at me, with curious eyes. ”Nathan cheated on me...” I began as I felt the tears in my eyes. ”What happened?” Ashton asked, with a sweet and concerned voice. Should I tell him? Tell him my story? Tell him the reason why I am such a mess? Such a weak person? ”I was in a perfect relationship, just like LeAnne and David. I was deeply in love with Nathan and I thought he was the one” I took a short pause before I continued. ”I ended work earlier a Friday afternoon and I decided to make me and Nathan a romantic dinner. When I arrived home I caught him and another girl kissing. It was like my heart was ripped out, tossed and then kicked on before it was put back in” I took another short pause. ”I moved to Sydney for a recover. I needed to get healthier physical and mentally. I need a new start. I’ve been in Sydney for a month but I keep falling into the dark. I eat ice cream and cry over movies at least five days a week. Or in worst case I get drunk and follow a guy home, just to regret it in the morning. I still can’t go a day without thinking about Nathan. The days go by fine, because then I’m not by myself, but when the nights comes and I’m alone with my mind... It’s like I can hear my heart shatter into pieces. I can hear it break inside of me, and it hurts, just as much as it did the first time.” ”I would never hurt you like that” ”I’m a mess, Ashton. I can’t get over a guy that broke my heart. I’ve been going around over three months wondering what I did wrong to make him cheat and leave. I wish I knew, because then maybe I could move on, but I can’t. I’m not stabile enough, I’m not ready. I still love him, with every broken part of my heart. I’m a mess, I’m hopeless” I shrugged, while I pulled my hands under my eyes, so no tears would fall. ”You are not a me-” ”But you have helped me. I haven’t thought of Nathan one single time tonight” A small smile appeared on Ashton’s lips. ”Thank you!” Ashton said. ”Thank you? For what?” ”Opening up to me” I smiled at him. ”Thank you” I quoted Ashton. ”For what?” He asked. I cuddled into Ashton’s arms, and he lays a safe arm around me, before I answered. ”For letting me open up”
