(Third Person P.O.V)
As Ronin piloted the Destiny's Bounty back to the Steeped Wisdom while Misako and Wu tried to discover the last clue. The Ninja's and Nya gathered together to hear what Cole had to tell them.
"So, Cole. What's so important that you had to tell us now and not when we got back? I could use the sleep." Kai grumbled at the Ninja of Earth.
Jay yawned and rubbed his eyes, Nya nodded in agreement with her brother and Zane just stood there innocently.
"Nobu told me somethings that I think you should know too." Cole said quietly. "It's about (Y/N)."
This got everyone's attention.
"You can't just drop a bomb like that! Spill the beans!" Kai screamed at Cole. "Yeah, what did Nobu tell you?" Jay pleaded with big puppy dog eyes.
"I would also like to know what wisdom the young monk imparted to you, brother." Zane said calmly.
"Ehh..." Nya quietly made that noise thinking back to what Ronin had said about (Y/N) and their parents. She'd have to pull her brother aside later and tell him when the others weren't around.
"Nobu told me which of the sixteen realms (Y/N)'s from." Cole confessed to his fellow ninja's.
"Wait. Didn't Fenwick mention that it would destroy (Y/N) to find that out?" Jay warned Cole with a dark look in his eyes.
"Fenwick could have been lying." Kai stated scoffing at the name of the man. "He was doing a lot of that. He even said they aren't allowed to choose sides."
"They aren't Kai. Fenwick meddled in all our destinies so he could get Morro out." Cole corrected Kai. "I ask Nobu about that he said Fenwick told the truth when it came to (Y/N)."
"Fenwick? Nobu?" Nya questioned them. "Sorry, Nya. Maybe I should explain from the beginning for you." Cole apologised scratching the back of his head as he did.
"Fenwick was the traitor that was working with Morro he told us that Morro was after the Realm Crystal a doorway to the Sixteen Realms and how (Y/N) should never find out about it." Cole explained to Nya.
"Fenwick was really serious about that." Kai told Nya. "Ok. Following you so far, continue." Nya said nodding along with what was said.
"Fenwick also explained the riddle on the Prophecy Scroll is talking about Miss (Y/N) and why Morro kidnapped her." Zane also informed Nya.
"It because her power can tip the scales of fate, changing it for good or ill. That is why everything has been going his way." Kai said with a smile trying to look smart.
Jay and Cole rolled their eyes at Kai while Zane just patted Kai on the back trying to make his brother feel better.
"I don't think that was the only reason." Nya warned them. "What do you mean?" Kai said questioning his little sister.
"When we trapped Gholtar. He told us that (Y/N) could hurt ghosts and that she could even hold Souls Archer arrows." Nya explained to the boys.
"So it wasn't just for her power. It was to contain a threat." Jay theorised starting to put together the pieces of information.
"But why did Fenwick meddled in our destinies to get Morro here?" Nya demanded abruptly.
"The reason Fenwick messed with our destinies was to get (Y/N) to do that curse because he couldn't do it with her scroll." Cole said answering Nya's demands.
"So why could he mess with ours and not hers?" Nya continued to question.
"Remember the riddle? The parts about the 'flowing free from the seal of fate' and 'never shall it be controlled'?" Jay questioned and Nya nodded and answered. "Vaguely."
"The 'flowing free from the seal of fate' refers to (Y/N)'s power's ability to defy the scrolls of the Cloud Kingdom," Jay continued to explain to the ninja in training.
"And 'never shall it be controlled' refers to the fact that the power must flow naturally and never forced into use or terrible things can happen." Jay quickly informed her.
Nya continued to give them a questioning look. "Fenwick made it so Lloyd would burn the book and cause (Y/N) so much pain that she would curse us. Morro being Sensei Wu's share of the curse." Cole explained to Nya.
"That's great news." Jay said with a smile and everyone looked at him like he was crazy.
"When we get Lloyd back we can tell him and (Y/N) that it wasn't Lloyds fault. It was Fenwick and that we already handled him so everything can go back to normal." Jay huffed rather annoyed at his team.
Cole let out a heavy sigh. "It is not that simple, Jay." Cole told him. "Why not?" Jay questioned as everyone turned their attention back to the master of earth.
"Because what Lloyd burnt wasn't just a way back to Knighton... It was... (Y/N)'s last chance get home on time to save her people..." Cole said in a sombre tone and a cold silence swept through them all.
"Wait? Does that mean..." Nya began. "They're all dead?" Sensei Wu said walking through the door starting all his students.
"Don't do that Sensei! Are you trying to scare us all to death!" Jay shouted at him.
"Sorry, my students. Misako and I were taking a break I was on my way to brew some tea for the both of us when I overheard you all talking." Sensei Wu apologised to his breathless students.
"Now please continue what you were discussing." Sensei Wu instructed them. All four brother looked to one and other nervously. Cole bit his lip and proceeded to talk.
"Because of all the time (Y/N) was stuck here in Ninjago helping us fight evil, Her people..." Cole took a deep breath.
"Her people... They're gone." Cole admitted and let it sink in for Sensei Wu just how grave this was.
"Oh dear." Was all Sensei Wu could say. "Even if (Y/N) used the Realm Crystal to return home... It's too late... Lloyd burnt her only way to get back home in time to save her loved ones." Cole continued with a sigh.
"Fenwick said (Y/N) suffered a great deal to battle a great evil for her people and that it would destroy her to find out her sacrifices were for nothing." Cole said with a heavy heart.
"And then she would turn all that grief and rage onto Lloyd." Sensei Wu mumbled in a shocked state. "Not just Lloyd." Nya warned wide-eyed in horror at the thought of what (Y/N) could unleash upon them all.
"M-maybe we can fix this somehow?" Kai stated trying to come up with a plan. "Didn't Fenwick say that The Cloud Kingdom were hoping that when (Y/N) defeated the great evil from her realm that she would end up with them instead of Ninjago?"
"Wait, what are you saying?" Cole asked as he folded his arms.
"Fenwick said (Y/N) would have been much happier in the Cloud Kingdom and that they could help her find peace with the nightmare she lived through all these years? Maybe we can talk her into going there?" Kai tried to reason.
"Wow! Aren't you cold." Ronin laughed as he walked in on their little meeting. "And here I thought the hothead was all about family." Ronin cackled to himself.
Nya bristled and Kai yelled back. "What do you mean by that!" Ronin looked Kai up and down before turning to Nya and saying. "You haven't told him yet?"
"Told me what?!" Kai demanded, looking between the two for an answer.
"When the Elemental Masters were at war with the Serpentine. Your dad was obsessed with (Y/N)'s grandmother and had a kid with her. (Y/N) is your niece, flamebrain." Ronin chuckled leaving the Ninja to digest what they had just been told.
Kai went pail. "Ewww. Gross! Kai, you forced your own niece to kiss you! What is wrong with your family!?" Jay shouted at Kai who promptly passed out.
