Aurelia's POV:

I could only use one suitcase. I couldn't carry anymore, Elias would insist on me carrying nothing while he ordered his minions around to carry my luggage. I argued that I should at least carry my stuff so I figured maybe cramming a week's worth of my clothes and necessities will help. Since Belize is far far away and we're traveling by plane, I wanted to be well prepared for the trip.

Elias countered that I bring everything I needed because we could not turn around and I had no choice but to go. I was in the wedding, after all. In the end, we both got what we want and I had to end up packing a second bag to hold my necessities.

Our flight didn't leave until we arrived, Whatever that meant but Evelyn was keen on helping me pack since six thirty, folding every shirt and pairs of pants I owned. She insisted I packed a few dresses which I argued on not wearing but Evelyn was a stubborn woman. "You're too beautiful to cover up your body," she said.

Evelyn made sure my bags were neatly packed and I didn't forget pads, my toothbrush, floss, deodorant for a few days, I rolled out of bed, put on my Belize outfit (cotton shorts, a tank top, and a black cardigan in case the plane was cold).

My stomach was fluttering with butterflies. It felt wrong to almost leave Evelyn in the house alone, I loved her company and I wished she was coming with us. Not just for her to be beside me but because of traveling on a plane with Elias alone was a scary feeling.

"Why am I so nervous?" I asked, rubbing my arms nervously.

"Aurelia, put on your shoes." Evelyn hands me a pair of sneakers.

"It's going to be weird leaving you. This place. I'm scared you're gonna need help when we're gone." I worried. She furrowed her brows, tsking at me.

"Darling, you have nothing to worry about. I'll be fine. You deserve to get out of this house and explore the world, Aurelia."

"Maybe I don't want to leave this house and explore the world," I frowned. "Not if it means leaving you behind."

"You have to stop worrying about me," Evelyn says, "Belize is a beautiful place. I want you to explore it and see it. When you get back, I'll be here and you can tell me all about it." She smiles and I instantly felt a little persuaded.

"Alright," I breathed, "fine."

After we finished getting my bags, Evelyn grabbed the other and walked with me down the stairs. Of course, I started to get nervous, and she kissed me on the cheek with her warm lips. She pressed her face against my neck as she embarrassed me and whispered, "Goodbye Aurelia. I'll see you in a few days."

"Bye Evelyn."

I turned and walked out of the door, feeling hesitant to leave the elderly woman behind me. We only had such a short weekend to spend time together and I had to leave this time. Elias stood by the car patiently waiting on me looking comfortable in a navy button down and dark jeans that accentuated his dark skin and tousled hair. His silver eyes turned, looking at me and I blushed under his gaze, walking to him.

"Ready?" His deep voice made me shiver.

"Ready," I breathed. Elias reached for the suitcase from my hands and I snatched it from his grasp, glaring at him.

"I got it," I assured him, walking to the back of the car. The trunk opened with a click and I bent down to pick up the suitcase and lifted. I looked down to see I wasn't even an inch off the ground. I huffed in frustration, lifting again.

"Alright easy killer," Elias lifted the suitcase with one hand, an amused smirk on his lips. I stood back stunned as he lifted the bags into the trunk with ease.

I folded my arms, annoyed. Stupid hybrid prick. He turned around, his silver eyes sparkling with amusement. "Oh come on darling, we don't have all day."

"I had it," I frowned, walking to the opened door and got in.

I made sure to keep my legs pressed to my side of the door as I looked out the window, avoiding any eye contact with Elias. I kept quiet as he got in the car beside me, his warmth and presence making me grow nervous. What if this trip is terrible? What if we can't stop arguing over stupid petty things? Can't we just get over ourselves and get along for once?

I gasped, feeling a large hand on my right thigh. I shivered as his hot skin was against mine, I turned from the window to look at him for an explanation. His eyes laid on the driver through the rear view mirror. "Let's go," his deep voice demands.

The car rolls through the driveway and we left the estate. I turned around to look for Evelyn standing on the front porch waving goodbye before the trees covered the view of her and the mansion. I turned in my seat, exhaling in annoyance. His hand was still on my thigh. Why?

"Elias," I said, my voice soft but he heard me. He turns to me, his eyes darkening which didn't help calm my trembling nerves.

"Wh-why are you touching me?" I asked, unable to hold the question back anymore and his amused expression turns dark and mischievous. I waited for him to take his hand off of my thigh but instead he squeezes tighter making my blood rush to my face. I felt hot all over my body, I tried to pry his hand off but his hold remained wrapped around my thigh.

His smirk widened as he watched me struggle and I glared at him. "Please stop," I pleaded.

I folded my arms over my chest, looking out the window angrily, his hand still wrapped around my thigh. I should have wore sweatpants, I thought bitterly. I tried moving further away from him but he held me still to lean to me, before gently whispering in my ear.

"You need to wear a seatbelt, darling." His warm breath gently blew against my ear as he spoke, causing goosebumps to erupt against my skin. He leaned back to see my widened eyes and tightly clenched fists. A soft smirk quirked up his lip as he let go of my thigh keeping his eyes on me before looking out the window.

I let out a breath of relief when his hand left my hot skin, embarrassed of the feeling he left me. A strange and unfamiliar feeling pooled in my lower belly, I felt so confused by the need in my body. I've never felt this way in my life and somehow Elias made these uncontrolled feelings in my body.

This was going to be a long night.

"You have a private jet?" I asked, dumbfounded at the long sleek black contraption in front of us.

"Yes," his voice rang out and I lifted my gaze from the plane to his eyes.

I looked away from his gaze to meet the other ones that looked at me strangely head to toe. Mostly men and women dressed in black as they boarded our bags onto the plane. Some stares were polite whilst others were confused, probably because they've never seen a human travel with a hybrid before. Some women gave me nasty glares which was hard to ignore, I felt self conscious around them. It was hard to be around high class werewolves when you were a human girl that could break easily.

"Can I go in?" I asked Elias, he eyed me confusedly before nodding.

I quickly gathered my stuff and walked up the steps of the plane, careful not to slip and fall. Once I stepped inside, I let out a soft gasp. I walked to a open seat area, instantly sitting down in the soft cushioned sofa. The interior of the plane was a rich white and black interior. The walls were lined with white cushioned sofas that and a few leather plane seats. A bucket of ice sat on a small table with champagne to which Elias took immediately, easily flicking the cap off of the bottle and poured himself a glass.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" He asked and I smiled, spotting a large flat screen tv and book shelf. It was a palace inside of a plane. I wasn't surprised of the luxurious interior, it suited Elias and his color taste.

"Yeah," I answered, putting my bag beside me. I couldn't help but feel nervous, I never flew in a plane before and I was afraid I couldn't sleep. I made sure to bring a pillow and fluffy blanket to make myself at ease for the ride.

Elias must have noticed my nervous expression as his brows furrowed. "There's no need to be nervous, we are safe on this plane. You should feel at ease once we get going," he said, sipping the amber liquid from his glass.

"You only feel at ease because you're drinking," I said. He lazily grins and sits down across from me on the sofa, without taking his eyes off of me as he sipped his champagne without a care. He was always careless and challenging.

My eyes wandered around the plane, hearing the engine come to life. Somehow the feeling of ease didn't feel so easy. I gripped the seat with tight fists, my breathing heavy as my heart thudded in my chest. "Aurelia," I looked up to Elias' silver eyes, so soft and sincere, I blinked to make sure I was seeing what I was seeing.

"Calm down. We're in the air," he spoke and I nodded, looking out the window nearest to me with a surprised gasp. "Wow," I spoke, "it's beautiful," I noted, watching the tall and small buildings and golden lights get smaller as we lifted higher into the air.

I turned back to Elias to notice him holding a Manila folder, his furrowed eyes trained hard on it. "What are you reading?" I asked. He looks up to meet my gaze, his eyes hardened. "Nothing you need to worry about," he remarks in a smart tone.

I roll my eyes. "if its so important, why I can't worry about it?"

He gives me a glazed look, then looks back down at the file without a word. He was stubborn and when he didn't give me answers, it made me more curious about him. He was a mysterious man, hiding things from me and I was quite frankly annoyed. "I didn't realize how boring you are until now," I retorted.

He looks up, unfazed by my comeback, "I didn't realize how annoying you are until now."

I scoffed. He always managed to make me feel happy to angry in a matter of seconds with his sarcasm and wit. I couldn't keep up with him, he was a stubborn man, this was why I could never win any argument with him. I huff, looking away from him.

The file hit the table before Elias let's out a sigh. "Get some sleep Aurelia." His deep velvet voice calls.

Not wanting to furthermore annoy or argue with him, I lay down, on the soft bed, my head hitting the pillow. I sighed in content, laying the blanket over my body as I curled in its warmth. I let out a uncontrolled yawn, fatigue filling me. I didn't realize how tired I was until now.

The last thing I saw was my toppled over bag, a grilled cheese sandwich packed in a sandwich baggie with a sticky note on it reading:

thought you would need one for the trip ;)
-Evelyn

I open my eyes slowly, letting out a yawn, I stretched my legs and toes. My eyes open and look up to meet a unfamiliar beige ceiling. My eyes widen, I looked at the creme sheets and pillows I had slept on. My gaze slowly travels up to see the 4 poster canopy bed I laid in as I sat up, glancing around the beautiful room.

I definitely wasn't on the plane.

The room was exquisite, pale white and blue, like the ocean. It was perfect with the beach pictures hanging on the walls and seashells in jars on a few tables. A large flat screen lined the wall in front of the bed and to the right of the room was the kitchen where a table was set up. To the left was a door which must lead to the bathroom. What caught my eye was the open glass doors that lead out onto a balcony. I lifted the covers over my long pale legs and stepped onto the cold floor. I noticed my cardigan was not on me and instead of my tank top being on me, I was wearing a large sweater that clung to me warmly.

I blushed, realizing Elias must have put this on me. I walked onto the balcony, my breathe caught in my throat. The ocean crashed among the white sandy beaches, large birds flew past in groups as the wind blew softly in my hair, I closed my eyes in content. It was beautiful, more beautiful than I thought Belize would be. There had to be more than the sight on this balcony.

It was the clearest water I had ever seen and I longed to put my feet in it. Evelyn was right, Belize was a beautiful place. I stretched my arms as a gentle breeze blew through my hair and I smiled in content. I could live here happily by myself. I turned and walked back in, looking around the sea themed room in awe.

Where are my bags? Did Elias take them here along with me? I peered around the tables and bed for my suitcase and bag until I heard a door open. I looked up to meet the gaze of Elias as he walked carelessly into the room with only but a towel wrapped around his waist.

"Ah, Elias!" I gasped, my face burning as I turned from his gaze.

"Good morning to you too," he says.

"I thought you were gone," I said, embarrassed he came in half naked.

"Could you pass me my clothes?" He asked, standing there appearing bored when I hesitantly turned to him in question.

I looked to where he pointed at a pile of clothes on the bed. I picked it up and threw it at his chest to which he caught with ease. His silver eyes twinkled. "Cat got your tongue?"

I watched as he picked up his pants and let his towel fall and I gasped, turning around quickly, flustered. I quickly walked to the open bathroom and shut the door behind me, letting out a deep breath. I had to walk away or I wouldn't stop Staring at him like a creep.

Maybe a bath will help me.

(A:N// my gawd, can you imagine actually staying in a room like this? And I- 😍🤩)

I lifted the sweater over my body along with my tank top and bra and underwear, my body instantly feeling the cold of the room. Shivering, I moved to the white polished bathtub and turned the warm water on, revealing just how generous the bathtub was. It was large enough to fit a few people. I stepped over the ledge, my feet touching the polished tub.

It had been so long since I had any peace to myself and I took that to my advantage. I let the warm water fill the tub as it reached past my knees, instantly warming my skin. I laid back against the tub and relaxed, trying to keep my thoughts at bay. The feeling of the warm water was relaxing, quickly soaking the tips of my hair. It was refreshing, lifting my hair and feeling the water drip down my back and neck, releasing the pressure of how tense my muscles were.

After a good ten minutes or so, I finished bathing and drained the tub, lifting my body out, I stepped out into the cold air, shivering. I quickly searched for a white fluffy towel and growled in irritation to see the only towel on the floor soaking wet. "Elias!" I called.

"Elias!" My voice cracked. I couldn't cry in frustration, I wouldn't.

"Aurelia?" A knock came to the door. I let out a gasp as the door opened and I shrieked. "Don't look at me!" I cried. He covered his eyes quickly, the door still opened.

"What is it?" His deep voice grew dark. I shivered.

"I-I need a-a towel," I said embarrassed, covering my breasts as best as I could, shivering. The door shut and I waited, my face hot as I looked at myself in the mirror. He seen me naked! Oh my god, how embarrassing.

The door opened again and a towel was hung out to me. I quickly took it from his hand and shut the door, wrapping it around me. So embarrassing, what if he did see me naked? I bit my lower lip, my face growing hotter. I hung my head against the door, scared to walk out again. I looked around for clothes but only my clothes I wore last night were on the ground. I must have forgot to bring clean clothes in the bathroom with me.

I let out a breath and without any other choice, I opened the door and walked out into the room. Elias laid sprawled on the bed reading a magazine and this time with clothes on. I looked around for my bags and spotted it by the bed.

I wrapped the towel tighter around my form. "What are you still doing in here? This is my room." My face grew hot as he dropped the magazine, turning to me with an intense stare. His silver eyes shamelessly eyed down and up my body and my cheeks felt on fire. I must have looked like a tomato.

He suddenly stood up from the bed, standing there across the room without a word. My heart began to pound in my chest when he began taking a step towards me, I backed away, trying to keep the distance between us until my back met the wall. His molten eyes grew dark as he intensely stared down at me like a starving beast. A shiver rolled through me as said in a velvety voice, "sorry to break it to you sweetheart but this is my room as well."

"What?" I gasp incredulously. He couldn't be serious.

"I want my own room," I said, eyeing him in seriousness. We could not share a room, we never got along and there was always this weird feeling around us. I couldn't imagine wanting to share a bed with him either.

"Tsk Tsk. You complain too much. Besides darling, it's only for a few nights," he smirks mischievously, his eyes flickering down my body once again without shame.

I let out a few shaky breaths as his face came closer, his eyes twinkling. "Don't make a mess," he whispers, eyeing me once more before the a knock came to the door. I stared at him waiting for him to let me have space but he stayed still for a few more seconds staring at me up and down before backing away.

I looked down, embarrassed to see the floor covered with droplets of water due to my long wet hair. I couldn't help but overthink his words again. They must have meant to be a warning as well. I looked up to see Elias open the door and Veda walked inside greeting me with a a grin on her face. She wore a long white floral sun dress that reached the floor and a pair of brown sandals that contrasted to her bronzed skin. She must have been laying out in the sun.

"Yes you may come in," Elias rolls his eyes before lazily rolling back into bed.

"I'm so glad you're here!" Veda bounces in excitedly.

"Oh my gosh! You're here! In my room! What's wrong?" I asked worriedly.

Veda furrows her brows in amusement. "Nothing silly, we're having a bridesmaid and groomsmen party tonight and I wanted to help you get ready!" She announces. Her strawberry blonde curls matched her freckles on her cheeks as she smiled brightly.

"She doesn't do parties," Elias says, reading a magazine with a cover of barely covered up woman with her hands on her breasts and a seductive smile, a smirk on his annoying face.

I roll my eyes, looking at a smiling Veda. "I'll be there tonight. When is it?" I ask.

"What? You're coming with me. Get some clothes on and come eat breakfast in my room!" She demands and I nod, not wanting her to be impatient any longer. I quickly run to get my bag of clothes as Veda walks out of the room and shuts the door.

I let out a squeak when my towel decided to undo itself and I quickly hold it against my clad body. "If you wanted me to see you naked, you could have just said so," his deep voice rang out making goosebumps erupt over my skin. My cheeks burned in embarrassment. I glared at him.

"You're not seeing me naked not now and not ever," I retort and grab a pretty sun dress, bra and cotton underwear, and a pair of sandals and run into the bathroom, not missing the annoying smirk on his devilishly handsome face.

"Don't be late!" He calls out again and I slam the door, ignoring him.

Stupid arrogant hybrid.
