My name is Layla Pierce, and I'm a mutant. Wonderful way to start off the story, right? Just point out the obvious about myself. Anyway, as I was saying, I am a mutant, and this is the story about my life. To this day, I am still unsure how I got the mutant gene. As far as I know, my father nor my mother were mutants. They were...ordinary. What I can tell you about this..mutant gene, is that it's a pain in my ass. All it has been is a burden in my life, and has caused pain and destruction everywhere I go. You see after the accident, I told myself never to get close to anyone. Stay hidden, and keep quiet. And wouldn't you know? I couldn't even keep that promise.
I broke it.
For him.
The guy with the silver hair who wouldn't leave me the hell alone.

Well, I guess you'd just have to see for yourself what happened next.

This is a fan-fiction story about my character Layla Pierce, and Peter Maximoff, also known as, Quicksilver. The story begins during X-Men Days of the Future Past, then fast forwards ten years later during X-Men Apocalypse. I do not own any of the Marvel X-Men characters, only my character Layla Pierce, her storyline, and my other character Xander Night.
