"Sweetie, I'm so sorry.
You didn't say anything.
She looked immediately at you and crouched to your level.
"Everything is going to be fine (YN). Tell you what lets celebrate by going to (amusement park). How about that?"
You smiled.
"We'll have cake and presents."
She then carried you into her arms and shook you slightly.
"Everything will be alright. I love you and I'll never leave you."
Then she started to cry.
"Mommy loves you, dear *sniff* no one is going to separate us."
Then everything went black...
"MOM!" You sat up in your bed, in a cold sweat, breathing hard.
You had that nightmare again.
You brought your hand to rub your heart and your other to wipe away the tears you had.
"Mom..."

It was a regular school day. You were at your locker gathering your books to use during homework over the weekend.
Today wasn't just another day for you. It was your birthday as well. Now a majority of kids would be excited: Party, cake, friends.
But you were different. You hated your birthday. It only reminded you of...
"Hey birthday boy wait up." One of your friends said at loud. You turned to your left.
"Hey, Dahyun." She was approaching you with that large smile she always had.

Dahyun was one of your only two friends, she was a hyperactive one, but a fun person to hang out with. There wasn't a day that was boring with her around.

"So are you sure you don't want to do anything else?" You shook your head.
"Nope, just looking forward to hanging out with you two, but we don't have to make reservations."
"Hey, you only celebrate birthdays once a year." You turned around to see Mina, your other best friend. She was slowly walking towards your side behind you.

Mina was a silent girl who, unless you're friends with her, you weren't going to get any word out of her. Even if she has a silent personality, she cared for those who she called friends.
Both Mina and Dahyun were already friends before they dragged you into their duo. It's funny that they were the best friends with one another, they had a complete opposite of personalities.
But you guess they canceled each other out.

"I still can't believe you didn't tell us your birthday until like two ago."
"You mean when you forced me to tell you."
"I don't know what you mean," Dahyun said while acting innocent.
You rolled your eyes as Mina giggled slightly.

It was a wonder how you became friends with these two. You were a loner, but you were forced to work with them as they included you in a group assignment. Even after the assignment was done, they wouldn't leave you alone. You didn't understand.
But you just let them follow you around. It didn't take long before you were talking with them. Which leads to doing activities outside of school and them becoming your friends...your first friends...ever.
You still had a feeling of doubt inside of you for becoming their friend, but so far so good you thought.
In fact really good.

"So last chance (YN). Are you sure there isn't anything you want to do today?"
"As I said, I just want to hang out with you two." Both ladies smiled.
"But since you already made reservations, I suppose I'll have to go along with your 'dinner party."
"Great. Okay well, remember 7:30 alright."
"Don't worry. I'll be there." And the two girls left him alone. When they were far enough from him...
"So are we still going with our present?" Mina asked Dahyun.
"Yeah. You?" Mina nodded.
"It may seem stupid, but I think he'll really enjoy it."
"What, having two girls confess their feelings to the same guy. I think any guy wouldn't mind that."

Both Mina and Dahyun liked you and more than a friend kind of way.
Mina liked you because you were...mysterious, which she liked. She also saw that you read lots of books.
Being a reader herself, she often talked about books with you. Which no one in the school does.
Dahyun liked you because of how you seemed to laugh at most of her jokes, others would tell her she was annoying, but she repelled those words. You however just laughed at pretty much whatever antic she did.
She appreciates that someone else besides Mina does.
Of course, there were the basic reasons. Looks weren't half bad, you were watching your weight, keeping up in class.
But the main reason was that you weren't like the other guys at school. You weren't loud, you weren't showing off, you weren't one of those stupid teens who do stupid things.
No, you were...different, a good different. Which they each loved.
Eventually one talked to another and they found out that they both liked you. So after many discussions, they couldn't decide on what to do so they would see who (YN) seemed to hang out with the most. But you seemed to hang out with them equally.
So they ultimately decided to share (YN), yeah it wasn't the best or smartest of plans, but they were best friends, in fact almost sisters, they shared lots of things together, plus they knew (YN) would, in time, love them equally. So they were going to tell him someday about their feelings.
That someday was now on your birthday.

"Hey girls." Both looked forward to seeing both Jin and V.
"Jin, V, what's up?" Jin and V were also friends with Dahyun and Mina, but they don't really hang out with them as much as you, but they some interactions here and there.
They were popular kids and always had something to do outside of school. While they invited the girls to almost all the occasions, they would reject.
Dahyun's personality makes her seem to be the party girl, but she didn't enjoy going out and doing big stuff every day.
And Mina needs no explanation for her personality.
"Well we're hosting this big party, and everyone is coming so here." He hands out two invites.
"Now this is one you girls can't miss."
"Oh, thanks Jin...wait it's tonight at 7:30?"
"Yeah."
Dahyun looked at Mina. They looked back to see (YN) still there.
"Sorry, but we're not going."
"What? Why?" V asked.
"Because of (YN)."
"(YN)?" Jin said a bit envious.
"Yeah it's his birthday, we have plans to go out with him tonight at a dinner party," Dahyun said smiling.
Jin looked at V.
V then had an idea.
"Wait...how about since it's his birthday, we celebrate it at our house."
"I don't know V, I don't think (YN) would enjoy something like that," Dahyun said.
"Well we don't have to go all out, a few adjustments and it'll be great." Jin said.
"...I don't know." Mina said.
"Jin's right and I'm sure if we tell him that you two are going then there's no way he's not going to say no," V added.
"sigh...well let me go ask hi-...and he's gone," Dahyun said as she looked back.
"We have to go Dahyun. Mom's waiting for us." Mina said.
"Actually you two go on, we know where (YN) goes after school so we'll give him the message and invite."
They were still their friends so it was okay for the girls.
"Alright, thanks Jin." And so they both left.
"You think (YN) will accept," Dahyun asked.
"Hope not. I was hoping it be the three of us alone." Mina replied.

TIMESKIP
You were walking towards your car when...
"Hey (YN)." You turned around to see Jin and V.
They never had spoken a word to you so this was sudden to you.
"Can I help you?"
"Yeah...I know we haven't talk and all, but can we come to your...uh...dinner party? It'll give us a chance to get to know you a bit better." You were taken aback. "We talked to Dahyun and Mina about it, they said to talked to you about it."
'Really...well guess it up to me. I really don't want them there, but I don't want to be rude either. They're kind of Mina's and Dahyun's friends too.'
"Oh...no yeah sure, you can come."
"Really, great thanks, oh and hey, happy birthday," Jin said and V repeated.
"Thanks. Oh, wait do you have the address?" They shook their heads and you took out some paper and pencil and wrote down the address.
You would text them, but you don't have their numbers.
"That's the address."
"Hey, thanks. We'll see you there." You nodded and walked away.
You were finding it hard to believe about Jin and V coming to the dinner. So you texted Dahyun to make sure if she did talk with them about this.

"Wow, can't believe he actually agreed to go to their party."
"Yeah, but like his text said, as long as we're there," Dahyun said as she held the phone closer to her.
"True. Guess V was right...who knows, maybe it'll be fun after all." Dahyun shrugged as Mina nodded. She wasn't one for any big parties, but she'll just be around you as well.
"So we better get dressed up then." And with that, they talked in the car to plan on what to wear for the party.
"Yeah let me text them that we're coming."
As Jin and V walked back to school since they were meeting up with friends. Jin received a text from Dahyun.
"Hey, they agreed to come. Wow, can't believe that worked." Jin said.
"Yeah, loser thinks we're going to his stupid little party." V looked at the paper before crumbling it up and tossing it on the side of the sidewalk."I don't know what those two see in him." V continued.
"Nope, but at least we got them to come to our party," Jin said.
"Yup, and tonight, they will be forgetting him," V spoke with a grin.

SEVERAL HOURS
It was almost time to leave for the restaurant and while you were getting ready in your room when you heard your door knock.
"Come in." You said as the door opened to reveal your grandma walking in.
"Hey, granny. What's up."
"Just coming to check on you." She came closer and saw your smile.
"I'm just getting ready."
"..."
"Granny?"
"You had it again didn't you? I heard you yell last night." You stopped what you were doing and turned around to see her.
"...Yeah."
"How are you feeling?" You resumed getting ready.
"I'm...okay."
"Well, at least you got some company tonight." You semi smiled. "(YN) don't worry, you should enjoy this. It's going to be the first birthday you're ever going to celebrate since-"
"I know and I'm happy."
...
...
"...are you going to tell them?"
"Tell them what?"
"You know what."
You sighed.
"Can't...we have two others coming along as well. And even if they weren't coming. What if they don't share the same feeling?"
"Trust me (YN), with the way you talk about them and how they would hang out with you. I'm sure they do as well."
"And you're sure it's okay to say to two people that you like them...more than a friend."
"Well...it's not common, but you can't help it, love is difficult after all."
"I guess...I got to get ready."
"Sure." And she left you.
You looked in the mirror at yourself.
You nodded and continued to get ready.

You looked around the restaurant to find them. There weren't a lot of people.
"Can I help you?" A squirrel-looking waitress asked.
"Table for (YN) (LN) I think." You replied as she looked up her computer.
"Hmm...for three?"
'Guess they aren't here yet.'
"Sorry, can we make that for five? Something came up." She nodded.
"No worries, right this way." The waitress showed you to a table with five seats around.
"Enjoy."
"Thanks." You said as you sat down, but it wasn't long till another waitress came over.
"Hello. My name is Momo. I'll be your server today. Anything to drink, appetizers..."
"Just water and I'm waiting for my friends to arrive."
"Oh no worries, I'll be back with your water and I'll wait." She said smiling.
You looked at your watch.

Ten mins have passed and no sign of any of the four.
"I wonder where they are? Hope they're okay?" You pulled your phone out to text Dahyun and clicked your tongue.
LOW BATTERY
"Did I not charge-damn it, I really need to buy a new charger...and at two percent as well. Better make this quick."
Hey, you girls okay?
A minute later.
Oh, don't worry we'll be there soon. Traffic.
It's fine. Don't worry about it. Oh and the battery about to die.

Dahyun put down her phone.
"(YN) is already there. See I told you we should have left early." Dahyun said to Mina who was driving.
"Sorry, but makeup takes time."
"You know (YN) doesn't care for that kind of stuff."
"I still have to look good don't I, but that's a big reason why I like him."
"Me too." Dahyun sighed, "It sucks that we won't be alone though."
"Well, we can still tell him after the party. Speaking of which, here we are." They turned a corner as the GPS told them to.
So they parked their vehicle and proceeded to the big house that had lights all around with people hanging outside drinking from plastic cups to loud music coming from the inside of the house.
They can see some people dancing through the windows.
"Sheesh."
"I know, hard to believe (YN) is here. He isn't the kind of guy to go to this kind of events."
"I don't see his car," Mina said looking around.
"Maybe he was dropped off. Just park here." Dahyun pointed to the right
They arrived at the front of the doorway and saw students that they recognized dancing or talking around.
Dahyun tried texting you, but you weren't responding.
"He's not responding to my texts, his phone probably died. Let's split up." Dahyun said and Mina nodded.
They ended up going around through the people. Mina went to the living room and search the outside of it since he would most likely be hanging back.
Dahyun went to the hallway and searched around the rooms to see if maybe (YN) went somewhere quieter.
"Mina!" She turned around smiling, but it was V.
Her smile dropped.
"Glad you came. You look really beautiful." He said as Mina groaned internally.
'Of course, I bump in him first...'
"Hey...umm, have you seen (YN)?" Mina ignored V's comment and asked for you right away and she noticed the change in his expression from glee to what looked aggregated.
"Right, (YN)...um, I'm sure he's around, he did arrive about ten minutes ago." Mina nodded,
'Well, at least he's around.'
"Okay then-" Mina was about to turn, but someone grabbed her hand.
"Come and dance with me." Mina did not like the sudden contact and she harshly pulled her arm away with a stern look.
"No thanks. I'm going to look for (YN)." Mina excused herself and turned on her heels when she jumped in place as V was suddenly in front of her.
"Come on, Mina. I'm sure we'll see him eventually. Let's dance."
"You can dance. I don't feel like it." She said as she tried to go around V and he sidestepped as Mina huffed.
"V please, I just-"
"Just one dance and I promise I'll help you find him. Deal?"
'Good god...'
Mina didn't even answer and turned her head around as she was looking around for you.
She just wanted to find you and be next to you with Dahyun.
'(YN) where are you?'

You were just sitting and playing with your hands, it's been another ten minutes since you texted the girls, and still no sign of them.
Your phone died a minute since you send the text to Dahyun as she responded that traffic was hurting them.
"Are you still waiting?" Momo came back with a pitcher of water and refilled your water.
"Yeah, they said traffic, so I'll just wait if that's okay."
"No, it's totally fine, we're not really busy as you can see." Momo looked around to see hardly any tables filled. "So what's the occasion since you made reservations?"
"It's my birthday and my friend arranged it." You answered as Momo smiled.
"Oh, happy birthday. You know birthday people get free cake here."
"Ah, figures, chocolate right?"
"Yeah, you like chocolate?" Momo asked as you nodded.
"Yeah, and my friend as well. That's why she picked this place." You joked as Momo giggled as you smiled at her, it was a cute sound.
"Well, sounds like you have some nice friends. Alright, I'll leave you be then, don't hesitate to call me~" She winked at you and turned on her heels as you smiled at her back.

MEANWHILE
Dahyun was looking through the kitchen. Maybe he was hungry or thirsty. She didn't see you but saw Jin drinking from a plastic cup with three others.
She didn't want to talk to him, but maybe he saw you walking around.
"Hey, Jin."
He turned and he instantly smiled.
"Ohhhhh...he-*hic* Dahyunnnn..." He spoke with a woozy tone as Dahyun sighed.
'Is he drunk? Boys...thank god (YN) isn't like this.'
"Come here Dahyunnn, drink with us." He managed to say as he offered her a cup.
She looked at him disgusted and gave a step back.
"Seriously? We're barely eighteen Jin. You know that's wrong to drink anyway." Just then the group laughed at her comment.
"Ah who the fuck cares...it's a party, people do these kinds of things." Jin said flailing his cup around as the contents in it spilled and Dahyun took a few steps back more to avoid said contents.
"Pigs...whatever, have you seen (YN)?" She asked from where she was and Jin shook his head.
"(YN)...(YN)...(YN)...I don't know..."
She sighed and figured that in his drunk state, he probably wouldn't know who you were standing in front of him.
"Useless." She muttered and turned around, but her wrist was being grabbed onto.
She turned and saw Jin's hand on her wrist, her eyes glared at the sudden touch. His eyes were groggy-like.
"Come on Dahyunnnn~ why don't you give me company~"
She turned her head, smelling the alcohol in his breath, and roughly tugged her arm away from him.
"Don't touch me again Jin!" She spoke assertively as Jin raised his hands.
"Sheesh, relax Dahy-"
"Shut it, I'm just here for (YN) and (YN) only. If he's not here then there's no reason for me to be here either." Jin just laughed as Dahyun turned and walked out of the kitchen.
"Whatever...you're loss..." Jin muttered as he returned to his friends.
Dahyun groaned as she found it damn near impossible to be moving around the poeple here.
'How can (YN) even agree to this? Even if Mina and I were here, there's nothing here to enjoy...god I wish it was just us three at the restaurant...maybe Mina has better luck.'
It was difficult trying to find Mina, but Dahyun saw her looking around in the living room with V dancing next to her.
'Or maybe not...'
She approached Mina while pushing people out of the way and tapped her shoulder.
Mina turned around.
"(Y- oh, Dahyun, did you find him?" Mina asked as Dahyun shook her head.
"Nope, you?"
"Not in this room. Maybe backyard?" Mina suggested as Dahyun nodded.
"Worth a check. Come on." Dahyun turned and Mina followed, but in a blink, V was in front of the two girls.
"Wait, wait, come on girls. Surely (YN) will show up right?"
Dahyun closed her eyes.
"V, we would just like to be with (YN). Please just let us find him." Dahyun told him and to V, it felt like receiving daggers into his body.
"...Why?"
Mina rolled her eyes and Dahyun scoffed.
"Why? Because he's our friend." Mina spoke from the back of Dahyun.
"Us too aren't we?" He asked back as the two didn't respond.
"..."
"..."
V's expression turned sour.
"Look V...I appreciate that you invited us, but I think we're gonna find (YN) and get out of here. If you could just tell us where (YN) is-"
"You can't be serious?!" Some guests around him stopped to eye Jimin's penetrating voice. "Why would you just leave?! You just got here like minutes ago!"
"And that's minutes wasted on (YN)'s night!" Dahyun spoke back.
"I don't give a shit about his night!" He yelled as the other two send death glares, even Mina was livid at what he said, "the only thing I cared about was Mina coming here!" At this point, V was losing his control as Mina shook her head.
"Okay, we're done. Mina let's find (YN) and get out." Dahyun pushed V out the way as Mina didn't spare him another look as V scoffed.

"I don't understand, where the heck is (YN)?!" Dahyun spoke up as Mina shrugged. "And tonight of all days too!" It was your birthday and these two were frantic to find you quick.
They were in the backyard and looking around for you, already searching every room inside the place.
"I know...it's like he's not even here," Mina spoke her thought.

Then it hit them.
"Wait...what if he's not here at all?" Dahyun hypothesized as Mina blinked.
"But-but he texted that he would be here?" Mina reasoned as Dahyun gave a thought and took her phone out and re-read your texts.
"He said that he'd didn't mind coming here...maybe he left?" Dahyun suggested as Mina shrugged.
"Without telling us though?"
"I don't know...I hate to say it, but let's ask V about this and if he doesn't know, let's just go I guess." Dahyun suggested as Mina sighed and nodded.
They went back inside the home and went to find V. Dahyun told Mina that Jin was drinking and she rolled her eyes at the information as well so he was no help.
It took two minutes to find V hugging with three guys near the entrance as Dahyun and Mina went towards him.
"Let's just ask and leave alright." Dahyun said as Mina nodded. Upon getting closer, V spotted them and stood up with a smirk.
"Well, well, well ladies. You ready to have some fun now~" His cocky attitude made the two girls vomit.
"Where is (YN), V? Seriously." His smirk frowned.
"This again..." He groaned to them as Dahyun and Mina glared. "He's probably having fun with some chick around here, I don't know. Now come on, let's get some drinks and-"
"V...I swear to god, where. Is. (YN)." Dahyun spoke with malice as V rolled his eyes.
"Fine...I'm sick of getting denied by you two. You want to know where he is! He's at his own damn "party"." He air quoted with his hands as both Dahyun and Mina's body went to chill.
"..." "..."
"That's right, he's not here. The poor loser is probably at his table all alone, wondering-" He was grasped by his shirt as Dahyun gripped the fabric.
"How dare you!? You can't be serious?!" Dahyun yelled at him as her blood boiled at the thoughts of you being along at the resturant.
"Oh feisty aren't we~ Well if you wanted me that bad, you could have said so~ Don't tell me you'd rather be with (YN) at his fucking stupid dinner th-"
SLAP
"Argh!"
And just like that, everyone around heard and looked at the three, even Dahyun was shocked as she let go of his shirt."
Mina's hand was outstretched as V held his cheek from the vicious slap Mina send.
"Never and I mean never be near me, Dahyun, or (YN) again!" V hissed while holding his left side of this face. "Let's go Dahyun."
Dahyun quickly nodded and didn't feel an ounce of remorse for V as she wished to do the same, but that be a waste of time as she followed Mina out the house.
"We better hurry. It's literally the opposite direction, it's gonna be double the time to get there."
And Mina started the car and drove off towards where they were originally planned to do.
"Damn it..." Dahyun yelled as she slammed the glove compartment.
"Hey, we'll get there Dahyun."
"It was stupid of us to let them do it themselves. We shouldn't even have agreed to come." Dahyun said rubbing her temple.
"We'll explain that those dumbasses are the ones to blame. You know (YN) will understand." Mina knows your personality well. You were like her, you never even rose your voice before.
Dahyun looked out the window.
"I hope so."

They both finally made it. The restaurant.
They both ran and open the door. Sadly it wasn't as they hoped as they saw staff already cleaning the tables up and a couple of tables that had chairs on them.
It was almost closing time at 8:53 PM.
"Where is he?" Mina asked looking for you on the left as Dahyun looked towards the right and on Dahyun's side, someone came towards her.
"May I help you?" Sana, the waitress, asked Dahyun as she nodded.
"Yes, is there an (YN) here?" Dahyun asked Sana as she had a look of realization.
"(YN) (LN)?"
Mina joined Dahyun's side upon hearing your name.
"Yeah, that's him! I-is he here?" Mina asked hopefully while they stared at Sana, but her frown answered for them.
"I'm so sorry, but he left like ten minutes ago."
Both girls couldn't believe it and everything in them fell apart.
"I'm sorry..." She repeated to them.
Neither Dahyun nor Mina said as word as Dahyun found the floor to be her vision and Sana felt her heart weak at Mina looking like she was about to cry.
"I-it's okay..." Dahyun muttered after a few seconds and nodded. "Thanks..." She said to Sana as Sana nodded.
They both turned and left the resturant as Sana pouted at the two.
"Was that them?" Momo asked as she joined Sana from the other side.
"Yeah..."
"Oh...I hope everything goes well for them three." She said as Sana nodded.

Both Mina and Dahyun barely walked a few feet outside the doors. Each of them kicking themselves at missing you by that much.
"He waited that long...he waited two hours for us..." Mina muttered as Dahyun struggled to keep in check, "and we left him..."
Mina sniffed as a couple of tears went down, unable to keep them in as Dahyun cursed under her breath.
"God damn it..." Dahyun muttered and covered her eyes with her hands, hiding her tears as well.
It was your birthday, your one day and they left you alone...

So obviously from the title, this is part 1..of 2. I plan on doing only two parts to this. So LawrenceDeFoxy here is your part 1 of 2 requests for you. And do not worry, Part 2 is coming very soon.
I was writing this and I thought, "This is going to be a very long one-shot." So I made this a 2 parter. Hope you aren't too mad. But don't worry since I plan on releasing this on a day where I have another story to be written up so a double upload day soon.
