Butch P.O.V.
YES!!!! I'M FINALLY IN A CLASS ALONE WITH KAORU!!!! I fist-pumped walking down the halls. I was so giddy I couldn't help but laugh every few seconds. Finally, I reached the fields.
"YO, TEACH!" I yell out. He turns around to reveal himself as my old gym teacher from middle school. Ah. Dear old Mr. Benson. I chuckled at the thought.
"Aye, Butch! Long time no see, kiddo." He said ruffling my hair.
"You know me, coach. The one and only Butch Jojo at your service."I winked. He just laughed.
"So coach. You reserve a spot for me on the team or what? I've been waiting to get back on the field"
"Sorry Butch, but you should've been here for tryouts." He said shaking his head.
"But Cooooaaach!" I whined.
"Nope" He said.
"What if I beat your best player. Then would you let me join the team?" I asked
He thought about it for a moment. "Sure." YESSS!!!!
"So who do I get to play. Kaoru? Ah, I remember our middle school. She was the only one who could beat me." I smiled at the memory. I turned to look at coach to see bewilderment across his face.
"Kaoru?" He said, his voice cracking. "Butch... she's the worst player on the team. I don't know what happened to her. She just... stopped playing. Our star player here is a guy named Brandon Smith." I looked at him in shock. Kaoru? Bad at soccer? HA! That's impossible. But when I looked around, I saw her just standing there. Looking afraid of the ball. Every time it would come near her, she would shrink away, as if doing so would ward off the ball.
I shook my head in disbelief and rubbed my eyes to make sure what I was seeing was real.
"OI, BRANDON! GET OVER HERE! YOU HAVE A CHALLENGER!" Coach yelled. I saw a guys sprinting over. He had shaggy blonde hair and vibrant green eyes. He sized me up.
"He's gonna be no problem, Coach. I'll beat him in two minutes flat." He smirked
"Don't count on it, pretty boy." I rubbed my hands together. I looked over and saw all attention on us. The girls ,as usual, were swooning. Yuck. I have a girlfriend here. (No you don't Butch. You abandoned her. Bad Butch! Bad!) I scan over the whole field searching for dazzling light green eyes. Finally I found them. I couldn't help but stare. The green eyes that always held such happiness and joy, now filled with sorrow and fear. She looked away.
"Get ready, Butch."the coach warned.
"I got this, coach." I said. We got into position and Coach blew his whistle.

YESSS!!! I WON BY A LANDSLIDE!!! Three goals in under two minutes. That must be a world record.
I hear people cheering and see them running towards me. I got claps on my back and lots of compliments. I tried to see through the crowd and look for Kaoru. I tried looking but I couldn't find her. I finally saw her as far from the field as possible with tears streaming down her face. When she saw me looking, she ran.
No! I can't let her get away this time!
I got free of the crowd and tried running after her. She ran into the wood near our school. She ran more than I've ever seen her but I was determined to keep going.
Five minutes if us running and she finally stops. She's panting and breathing heavily.
"I know you're there." She whispers. She closes her eyes. She then slowly but steadily sits down. I take in our surroundings. We're behind the school. Our special place. What is she doing here? I cautiously move towards her but keep my distance. Then I see her shoulder shaking. It takes me a minute to realize she's crying.
What!? Kaoru never cries in the open like this. Heck! She never cries!
"Kaoru? Are you okay?" I ask, reaching out towards her.
"Don't touch me. Please." She said. I pull my hand back, feeling hurt. "All of this is your fault." She said, still not looking at me.
"It's you and your brothers fault this happened to us. We never wanted this to happen. But it did. And we can't to anything about it. Maybe... maybe if we hadn't fallen in love this wouldn't have happened. Maybe if- if I stayed strong our situation wouldn't be so bad! Maybe if I didn't let you steal my heart, this wouldn't have happened!MAYBE IF I NEVER MET YOU OUR LIFE WOULD'VE BEEN NORMAL!"
She was full on sobbing and yelling now. She wrapped her hands around her self. I just stared at her in shock, disbelief and heartbreak. No. No, no, no! This can't be true. It can't be our fault. We love them. I love her. I would never do this to her. I stared at her, hurt evident on my face.
Finally, she turns and looks at me. Wow. She's still as breathtaking as I remember and more. Looking at her face reminded me even more of how much I missed her. Tears streaked down her cheeks. I look into her eyes. And I see so may emotions. Hurt, pain, anger, sadness and most of all, betrayal. Sick, cold betrayal.
She stands up and slowly walks towards me. As she was walking, it was like time stopped. It was so hard to go against my urge to run up to her and scoop her into my arms. But I didn't do it. And that hurt more than anything that I've ever felt.
"I wish I never fell for you. I wish you never entered my life." She said. Then she started walking away. I turned and grabbed her arm and stopped her from leaving. She looked back at me.
"I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry." I said, my voice cracking.
"Saying sorry won't fix us, Butch." And then she left, leaving me there with tears streaming down my face this time. This is a horrid mess. And me and my brothers need to fix this. I won't rest until my Kaoru is fixed and happy. I swear on my life.
