Side Story (Winds and Flames)
...One day in Leanbox, Luna and Emerald were out gathering supplies for the frontlines. While doing so, the two engage in conversation...
Luna: "Hey, we don't really talk all that much, do we?"
Emerald: "Hmm... Yeah, you're right! I mean outside of battle meetings and supply gathering, we don't really talk about other stuff... like at all."
Luna: "Well seeing as this is a chance for us, do you have anything to talk about?"
Emerald: "Well... How's the weather lately?"
Luna: "Oh come on, you must have something better."
Emerald: "I don't really know... How about you? Do you have anything to talk about?"
Luna: "I guess... if I'm being perfectly honest... I'm a bit concerned of what's next to come."
Emerald: "What do you mean?"
Luna: "All of the fallen beasts have been gathered, and the shadow assaults have dwindled as well... While it all looks so reassuring, there's this nagging feeling that something bad is about to happen."
Emerald: "I see... I understand what you're saying... What comes next after this? We're still in this make-shift world, I wonder what the Cracker and Neptunio are up to."
Luna: "I just wish there was some sort of sign, a small signal that tells us everything will be okay. Because all this silence while very calming... It's also brought some uncertainty..."
Emerald: "Yeah... Well, on the bright side, Big Neptune's having a daughter soon."
Luna: "Oh yes! I have heard of it from the others too! But... Who's the father?"
Emerald: "No one knows, she doesn't want to talk about it too much as well."
Luna: "Oh and have you heard? Noire and Schwarz will soon have a daughter as well!"
Emerald: "No way!"
Luna: "..."
Emerald: "..."

...The two fell into silence once again, as they approach the store, they suddenly felt the earth rumble...

Emerald: "I'm fine you big goof, I thought you were busy sending the men to the frontlines?"
Grun: "I had Vert lead them instead... They probably liked it that way..."

...The full army of Leanbox marched to war with passion burning in their eyes.

Grun: "There are two unique auras in here... One I believe belongs to the mystery girl... but this other one..."

Grun: "It's... similar... not completely... but similar to my own aura..."
...There was a yellowish green wave of air that floated around the area where the glow was seen...
Grun: "Anyway, I know where each of them are... Let's go find the girl first."
Weiz: "Do you have something that my Fenrir can smell?"
Grun: "Ah yes, you're pet can track them, good, here I've collected the remaining scent..."
...Weiz's Fenrir sniffed the air and immediately it rushed back into the gates with Weiz and Luna riding it.

Emerald: "The guards never mentioned about the girl going in."

Grun and Emerald rode the winds, they soon reached the public district... The streets were lively and fire crackers were everywhere... It seems like there was some sort of celebration
Grun: "Huh...? According to this red wave of aura, the girl should be around here somewhere...Hm!?"

Grun: "The location... It just changed all of a sudden! Over there!"
...Grun runs into the back alley... But, it was a dead end...
Weiz: "Are you sure, you haven't gone senile brother?"
Grun: "No way! I'm not that old yet! Besides, even your pet is confused."
Weiz: "Well I can't argue with that... It's like whoever this girl is, she can basically disappear and reappear out of thin air."
Luna: "She sounds like a ghost."

...Weiz's Fenrir started sniffing the air...
Weiz: "He's picking up something... Grun? Can you try to see what's in the air in this place?"
Grun: "Give me a sec... Hmm... There's ash...? Has someone been burning something in here? There's also this slight smell of gun powder...No wait...I'm not sure just yet...Weiz, have your dog find other areas other than the public street where ash is present."

...Weiz and Luna rode off to find other areas...

...Grun explains to Emerald what was going on... The person they were after was able to manipulate fire... From what the guards man told them, the girl vanished like a flickering flame from a candle... And they never saw her enter the gates... When they followed the scent, it was in the middle of the Public street where fire crackers were exploding everywhere, and where there's explosion there are burned casings of what held the gunpowder inside, and with burned casings, there are newly formed ashes...
Emerald: "So wait... You're telling me that where there are ashes, then..."
Grun: "The girl can appear there... Let's go!"
...Grun and Emerald went to where the freshest explosion was... And there they found...
Luna: "Calm down... Don't worry, we won't hurt you."
???: "Umm... I'm just looking for something... Please... I won't cause any trouble."
Weiz: "I'm sure you won't child, but we must insist in bringing you in for questioning."
???: "I can't... I need to find the console or else my sister will be mad again..."

...From behind Luna a dashing young man in green clothes appeared, he boasted with his fine golden locks and devilish red eyes by gloating at his elders, he grabbed Luna by the waist and pulled her close...
Weiz: "@$$hole! Let her go!"
???: "As you wish~"
Luna: "Kya~!"
...He pushed Luna back to Weiz and goes to face Grun and Emerald...
???: "Well well... You two are a lovely pair indeed...Oh and sorry about that Lady Luna."
Luna: "I-It's fine... You just surprised me."
???: "I must insist acting this way for a bit, so please, accept my apology."
Grun: "State your name boy."
Jade: "Ahh... My name is... Jade... Squad Leader Jade..."
Emerald: "I don't see your squad anywhere, Squad Leader?"
Jade: "They're here... One of them at least."

Maria: "My mother said this console held both my power and my sister's power... She said that one day, when the time is right, our powers will reveal who we really are... And at times it would even act on its own... Like this time... It activated my leaper and here it is... It's usually pretty dormant and only reacts when... My sister and I are in a disagreement..."

...In Grun's signal everyone ducks for cover, as if everything had gone into slow motion, Weiz pushed Maria and Luna down as he erected a barrier, something from within the trees emerged, a huge bone club makes contact with the barrier, as it did, the barrier reacted and repelled the attack equal to the force the bone club delivered stunning what attacked them...
Weiz: "That bone club... It's Berhandi!"
Grun: "The Ice troll!?"
Weiz: "Yeah, looks like he thought we trespassed in his territory."
Maria: "I'm scared...~"
Luna: "Don't worry dear... It's going to be alright. Weizy?"
Weiz: "Yeah?"
Luna: "Show that Troll who's boss!"
...Luna grants Weiz a boost in strength with her magic.
Weiz: "You got it!"
...Weiz summoned his ice board and sled towards the stunned troll... he summoned his battle axe and with the momentum from his ice board he goes upward, as he got to the peak of his launch...
Weiz: "Sorry old chap! But you attacked first. Eisberdigung!"
...Weiz threw his weapon at the troll , as it made contact, the troll became encased in ice...
Emerald: "Your turn Grun!"
Grun: "With pleasure..."
...Emerald summoned her spears and allowed Grun to manipulate them...
Grun: "Strike Air!!!"
...With Emerald's spear, not only was Grun's attack carrying tremendous force, but has also turned deadly...
...The spears rode the turbulent winds and pierced through the ice that encased the troll... It pierced through the trolls skin sticking like a thorn, and with the winds, they dug deep into the trolls body...
Weiz: "Heh... That's an Ice troll for ya, his body's as resilient as a diamond... he should have shattered with the ice just now"
Grun: "He's dead so that's all that matters..."
Maria: "I...Can't see..."
Luna: "Too early for you to be seeing this dear."
Jade: "On the contrary, she's seen worse."

...It tightened its grip on its captives... with its other hand it used its bone club and attacked the others...

...Luna summoned an ice barrier and repelled the attack... but her barrier wasn't as strong as Weiz's... It cracked as the Troll continued to attack...
Grun: "Go down you mongrel!"
...Grun tried to mow down the beast, but without Emerald's spears, his bursts of air could only stun the troll...
...The monster's grip tightens....
Weiz / Emerald: "Ahhhhhh!!!"
Grun: "Emerald! Hang on!"
Luna: "Weizy!"
...From the backlines... Maria and Jade stepped forward...
Luna: "Maria! Wait!"

...With a single wave of his hand... the bone club shattered just before it could make contact with them...like something tore it apart, something sharp and cannot be seen...

...Jade points to the arm holding Weiz and Emerald... He snaps his finger and suddenly, a burst of wind flew through the air... It sliced through the beast's arm cutting it off entirely, thus freeing the captives...
Jade: "Maria? If you please..."
Maria: "Sengende... Flammen!"
A single chant and the remainder of the troll bursts into cinders and finally turned to ashes...
Luna: "Amazing..."
Maria: "Lord Weiz!!"
Weiz: "Damn... You saved me kiddo..."
Luna: "Weizy! I'm so glad you're safe!"
Weiz: "Oh don't worry..."
Grun: "Emerald? Are you okay?"
