Camilla burst into Fabian's room the next morning and no words where needed by the twins as she flung herself into his arms, the twins both needing the comfort of one another. He too was now on the death list and that was something that got to her. At the end of the day, Fabian's safety was something Camilla cared about above everyone else's, even Nina's and Nina was her Chosen One. Now he was in danger.

As she pulled back, Fabian lifted his sleeve to show Camilla the mark, who raised her wrist to compare it. It was the same.

"What are we going to do Fabby?" Camilla murmured to her brother.

Fabian sighed and shook his head, "we find what she wants and fast," he told Camilla with a weak smile, "but promise me you won't tell Nina about this, she has enough to worry about with you and her being marked and her gran not feeling well..."

"Fabian..."

"I don't need her worried, honestly I don't want either of you worried about me," Fabian smiled at Camilla has he turned to lift his schoolbag onto his shoulder. "I'm your big brother, I'm meant to worry about you not you worry about me."

Camilla scoffed at him and with that, the two were almost back to normal again, "we're twins, we are genetically engineered to worry about each other. It doesn't matter who's older,"

Fabian laughed, "yeah, yeah keep telling yourself that Cam."

The twins hung back at the end of breakfast as Nina said she needed to talk to them, the moment the last person had left the room she pulled out a map and showed it to them. "this map was in the secret drawer in the doll's house," Nina explained seeing their confused looks. Clearly, Camilla wasn't the only one in their room who had a disturbed night.

"It looks like a sequence of tunnels," Camilla muttered too the two.

"look at the Egyptian symbols," Nina pointed out.

Fabian pointed to the symbol in the very middle, "that's the Jackal mark, the mark of Anubis."

"Do you think that's where the mask is hidden?!" Nina asked with a slight excitement, though clearly, neither of the twins shared the excitement. "What's up, guys? You two seem off..."

"Bad night sleep..." Camilla mumbled, but Fabian knew he had to tell Nina about the Spirit. He glanced to Camilla knowing she would go with whatever he said.

"Nina... I dreamt about her last night," Fabian said causing the excitement to wash off Nina's face and a look of dread to replace it. "the spirit..."

"What did she say?" Nina asked fearfully, though Camilla could see she was trying to put on a brave face. Make it appear as if she wasn't as scared as she really was. All of a sudden something washed over her and Nina grabbed Fabian, "did she touch you? Do you have the mark?" Nina frantically looked at Fabian's wrists for a Mark.

"Nina..." Fabian's tone was calm and collected as he tried to reassure the girl, "look.."

"This is all my fault!"

"it's not your fault!" Camilla instantly countered pointing her finger at Nina in a tone she couldn't argue with.

"I probably only dreamt about her, because we talked about her so much," Fabian told the American girl reassuringly.

"So she didn't touch you?" Nina asked quietly as she read between the lines of Fabian's words.

Fabian paused for a second, wanting to look to Camilla but knowing if he did it give the game away, Nina would know they were lying to her, "No." he told Nina with a half-smile.

Nina let out a sigh of relief and smiled at him, "thank goodness! You had me scared there, its hard-enough Camilla has a mark we don't want both Rutter's in line for death." Nina teased, causing the twins to fake chuckle at the girl, sharing the briefest of panicked looks as Nina's attention went back to the map.

"So, because you found the map under the doll's house you think..." Fabian started

"the mask is hidden under the house?" Nina interrupted finishing his sentence for him causing Camilla to understand how much that freaked people out when she and Fabian did that. It was a little unnerving to watch a thought jump from one person to another. "yeah," Nina answered the unasked question, "I think so."

The sounds of Amber's heels introduced her before they saw her but even then Nina wasn't fast enough in hiding the map and the blonde goddess instantly saw it laid out on the table. "Is that what I think it is?!" she asked excitedly.

"A Map?" Fabian stuttered trying to fold the map and failing. "yeah!"

"Okay... I was going to say love letter, but map's okay I guess." She shrugged as she easily plucked the old map from Fabian's hands, Fabian turning to Camilla to see her shoulder's shaking from silent laughter. His sister wasn't going to be any help when it came to trying to stop Amber from being apart of their mystery hunt for the mask of Anubis. "especially when it's a treasure map!" Amber excitedly exclaimed as she looked over the map, "Sibuna!"

"simple what?" Victor's voice rang out behind them, causing Fabian to grab the map and stuff it between two book pages as Camilla placed a paper with a really bad poem on the table.

Nina, however, seemed to understand what the man was asking and turned to Amber and punched her shoulder saying, "Sup Boo!" Amber rubbed her shoulder and looked to Nina in confusion, she expected that kind of violence from Alfie, not Nina, "I'm teaching them American slang. It means something along the lines of..."

Victor held up a hand to stop her, "I really don't care what it means," He told her causing in the bored tone, "off to school all of you, it's late."

Camilla handed Fabian his bag and grabbed her own, "Oh Victor!" Fabian asked as he turned around, "we're recording the narration for the school film and we'd think you'd be perfect," Fabian smiled up at the man who simply looked back at him unimpressed, "you know, with your commanding voice and encyclopaedic knowledge of the school..."

Victor let out a small cough as he thought over the boy's proposition, "well, I do fulfil all those criteria, I suppose." As he looked her way Camilla made sure to nod her head in agreement. "Very well, if you insist."

"Great!" Fabian looked a bit shocked the man agreed but he wasn't going to push his luck, "I'll record you this lunchtime."

This caused Camilla to groan a little if Fabian was recording at lunchtime that meant that their little magic class the period before lunch would be taking place in Victor office... which meant book work. Yay. Not.

"Way to go Boo!" Amber mocked the same punch as Nina had given her.

Victor left the room with the four original Sibuna's following behind him watching him as he did vocal exercises on the way up to his office, causing Amber and Camilla to look away from one another in fear they would burst out laughing.

"Victor doing the voice over, nice choice," Nina smiled to Fabian as they lead a little group of four.

"Whilst I'm recording Victor, you can check out the cellar," Fabian told Nina.

"The Cellar?" Amber asked her head-turning at the word, causing Fabiana to both hush her rather loudly.

"We think the map Nina found in the dollhouse it's..." Fabian started to explain.

"Why are you still here?" Victor called down at the four of them from his office. Which resulted in them all dashing towards the front door. "Camilla..." Victor called, causing the girl to look up at him as the front door shut behind her friends. "you do realise if Fabian is coming to record..."

"I'll see you in your office for magic theory..." Camilla rolled her eyes at the man, "Later Vicky." With that, she gave him a two-finger salute before racing from the house to catch up with her friends.

Somehow during free period Alfie had found a monopoly board and talked the two most competitive people he knew (Jerome and Camilla) into playing it with him, even though all three knew that monopoly had been banned from the Lewis household for a very good reason. Patricia was watching on with a look of amusement, as Alfie leapt to his feet dramatically, "After everything we've been through together. After the battles we fought side by side, after the sacrifices we made for each other, the bond we formed in times of bloodshed and war, you dare betray me like this?!" he demanded of Camilla who was laughing at him.

"Would you calm down and give me the two thousand? It's just monopoly you overdramatic goat!" she laughed, as Alfie climbed onto the seat he had been using – making her think a lot of spiderman and begrudgingly handed over the money. Alfie didn't really like the game, but Jerome enjoyed it. So when Camilla came up to him saying Jerome seemed a little off, she wasn't sure why but she had seen him talk to Poppy and maybe they needed to think of something to cheer him up he had hunted for a monopoly board, finally resorting to stealing the one he knew was in Isis house.

Camilla and Alfie shared a secret smile as he handed over the money as they both heard Jerome's laugh. One of the reasons he loved the game so much, yes because he was weirdly good at it, was because when he played with Alfie and Camilla, they always got a little dramatic because they knew they would lose they just made the game fun for them too. There was one time when Camilla and Alfie added extra things to the board like Alfie's wheelbarrow started a revolution against Camilla who was the banker. No Monopoly game was ever the same when it came to the trio.

The trio's attention at the monopoly board was slightly distracted as Mara came into the room looking a little downtrodden, as she held something to her chest. None of them could hear the conversation that happened between Patricia and Mara but from the look on Mara's face it wasn't a good one, the girl looked close to tears. Camilla assumed it was something to do with Mick, Mara had been pushing him away for the last week or so – though she didn't care to know why. Almost as soon as she sat down Mara was on her feet and storming from the room again, causing Patricia to look after confused.

Alfie's focus went back onto the board game as he rolled the dice – he had rolled doubles the round before so he could roll again. As he did Camilla smiled as she watched Fabian and Nina wander through the room, holding hands, both waving to her as they passed.

"Wasn't it nice?" Camilla asked out of the blue, leaning her head on her hand as she looked at Jerome. "To feel wanted and needed by someone, even if it was only for a little while."

"Even if it wasn't real?" Came the boy's voice, critically, scrutinising her a little.

She squeezed her eyes shut, the smile on her face not moving as she had expected that question from him. "It was nice though." She repeated, looking at him, "even if it wasn't real."

Jerome didn't know what to say for a second, but he grabbed the girls hand gently, causing her eyes to open and look at him, "It was nice," he agreed before Alfie let out a triumphant scream, breaking the moment and bringing their attention back to the game to see Alfie had landed on free parking.

Theory of Magic classes were boring, especially when they were in Victor's office. Victor had given up telling the girl to stop putting her feet on his desk within 20 minutes and by the time Fabian was seen running up the stairs, Camilla could swear she had perfected the art of sleeping with her eyes open.

"Alright Vicky," Camilla smiled as she got up and stretched, the man needed to get more comfortable seats, "your claim to fame is approaching, don't mess it up otherwise how will Corbierre cope being the breadwinner of the household."

Of course, Victor didn't find this remotely funny, "Does sarcasm help?" he asked the young teen as he opened the door for her, swapping one Rutter for the other.

"It would be a very boring world if it didn't," Camilla sweety told him before waving at the two and heading down the stairs to meet Nina and Amber to hunt the cellar a tunnel or something.

"Do you want to go first?" Nina asked as Camilla entered the kitchen to see her opening the fake oven door.

"No. after you," Amber instantly responded with a disgusted look on her face she wasn't too happy with the idea of having to go back down to the cellar. Nina shrugged and went to crawl into the space as Amber kept talking, "and I have decided you and Fabian are going on a double date with me and Alfie after school!" Nina wasn't expecting this as she tried to sit up quickly forgetting she was halfway into a very small opening to the cellar and bashed her head, letting out a hiss of pain as she backed out and looked at Amber.

"This evening?" the American asked.

"Leave it any longer and you guys really will be on friend status..." Amber informed her wisely. Nina looked to Camilla who shook her head, she wasn't getting involved in any of this. She had spent all summer dealing with Fabian pining for Nina and trying to think up dates it was time they just did it, even if it meant double dating with Amfie.

The cellar was a spooky and creepy as ever. If anything, Camilla swore it had gotten creepier as a new layer of dust and spider's webs littered everything. The only things free of the two were the furnace which Victor heated every morning and night and the small lab kit which was there so Victor didn't have to trudge all the way across the school to experiment.

Of course, Nina and Amber didn't know this so when Nina picked up a bottle and held it to the air looking at the golden liquid inside commenting, "looks like Victor hasn't given up his old habits..." Camilla wished she could correct the girl but knew she couldn't.

"Gross..." Amber mumbled as she picked up a beaker and sniffed it.

Nina opened the map and looked around, "okay so, if the cellar is here, there should be another room leading off... right around... here." Nina turned to look at the bookcase on the wall and Camilla's face lit up.

"Fake bookcase yes please, Frobby!" she couldn't help but say causing a giggle from Amber and Nina to smile.

"that only happens in the movie's Cam," Nina argued to the girl.

"the movies must have gotten the idea from someone..." Camilla countered.

"Guys, look..." Amber interrupted, pointing to Nina's locket and Camilla's ring, before glancing to the decoration above the bookcase which was glowing too.

"I stand corrected," Nina mumbled as she looked up in awe, "it must have something to do with this shelf, the one with the snakes on it," Nina told the two.

"Oh, those are snakes!" Amber spoke in realisation, "I thought they were eights."

Nina and Camilla glanced at one another having the same idea... maybe they where eights! Maybe there was a combination.

"Amber! You are a genius!" Camilla told her friend as Nina stepped forward to test their theory. The middle four 'snakes' moved to reveal numbers underneath.

"a genius, with perfect hair... a double threat." Amber corrected Camilla with a smile.

Nina stepped back and looked up at the numbers, "its some sort of Victorian combination lock...but what's the code?" she asked the two.

Camilla shrugged as did Amber, "hmmm, I'm sorry I must have left my secret book of Victorian codes upstairs," Amber instantly retorted.

Nina ignored the sarcastic remark, clearly putting it down as Amber spending too much time around Camilla, "okay, people usually use codes that are easy to remember like birthdays" Nina told them.

"You know Sarah's try that?" Camilla offered, Nina nodded and turned to the case again putting in Sarah's birthday but nothing happened. "it was worth a try." Camilla told the girl with a smile.

"I don't mean to rush this," Amber said as she glanced at her phone, "we were meant to be back at school five minutes ago."

"We need more numbers," Nina informed them both. "we'll come back later." Nina turned to put the lock back to its original snaky pattern before the three girls rushed from the cellar to get to school.

Nina and Fabian spent the rest of the day looking up dates and numbers they thought would be significant to Robert Frobisher-Smyth before they were reminded of their double date with Alfie. Knowing her friends would be busy Camilla decided to relax for the first time inside Anubis house, her Grimoire out and coloured pens and pencils covering the whole of the coffee table in the living room. Just because it was a magic spell book didn't mean it had to be boring and not colourful.

Camilla looked up as she saw Fabian and Nina race into the house about 40 minutes later, Fabian muttering something about being a lookout for Victor before they raced into the kitchen clearly off to the cellar. Camilla grumbled a little but didn't argue, packing up the mess she made into her school bag. Just as she shut her book shut Victor came strolling into the house, heading straight to the cellar. Camilla rushed to her feet instantly and followed on behind him, "Vicky!" she said loudly as he opened the door causing him to look back but not say anything, after almost a month with the girl he knew what arguments to fight her with. A fight about going down to the cellar was a waste of energy, especially seeing as the man would be there the whole time and he could see the Grimoire in her hand, for all he knew she might have questions for him.

"Who's down there?!" Victor asked, both of them hearing voices as he opened the cellar door and Camilla knowing who they were but not going to rat out her brother and Nina. "What's going on?!"

Of course, as they reached the bottom of the stairs Camilla couldn't help but frown as she took in the situation. Something was off, Fabian and Nina didn't look happy but she knew it wasn't because of getting caught it was something else.

"What did we just walk in on?" Camilla asked out loud causing Nina and Fabian to look to one another.
