"What happened?" He asked.
"The same thing you did to me about a thousand times." I said.
"What kind of pixie dust did you use?"
"Pink and a little bit of purple." I said.
"You used two different kinds?"
"Yes." I said. "Otherwise it wouldn't be strong enough."
"I'm proud." Rumple said.
"Thank you." I said.
"Now lets try fighting again." He said.
"I feel confident!" I said. I guess something came over me today because I was able to pin him down. "TAKE THAT DEARIE!"
"Wow I am impressed."
"I guess I am full of surprises." I said.
"You definitely are."
"Thank you. I think." I said.
~Present Day~
"Come on." Pan said. "I want to show you something."
"Okay." I said. Pan took me through the forest and stopped at a random tree. "You wanted to show me a tree?"
"Not just any tree." Pan started. "It's my thinking tree."
"And why should I care about some dumb tree?" I asked.
"You don't but the view is amazing." He said. He took my hand and we climbed up the tree. We sat up on top and looked at the view.
"Wow." I said. "This is a gorgeous view."
"I know." He said. "This is one of the main reasons I come up here."
"What are the other reasons?" I asked.
"It takes my mind off of my life for a while. I am just able to think about me." He said.
"Sounds nice." I said.
"Can I ask you a question?" He asked.
"I guess."
"Why don't you let anyone in? Why can't you believe that someone is being nice to you?"
"That's just who I am. For my entire life I only can trust myself. I have been hurt so much in my life and I am just trying to keep myself from getting more hurt." I said.
"I'm not trying to hurt you or rebuild you." Pan said.
"But you are." I said.
"I don't understand."
"You're exactly who people say you are."
"What do people say about me?"
"You're extremely full of yourself and you don't do things for others unless it benefits you."
"Says you. You're probably one of the most selfish girls I know."
"Just because I am not attracted to you doesn't make me selfish. It just means I have taste in men. You can try and make me believe that you're a decent human being but I know who you're. " I said.
"You know if you were any other person I would have killed you already."
"Kill me then." I said. "Maybe you will end my suffering here."
"Maybe I will put you in the cage again." He said.
"Do it." I said. "I did have a lot more fun in that cage."
"Fine but you're asking for it." Pan said.
"Okay." I said with a smile.
We walked back to the camp and Pan tried to get everyone's attention, "Lost boys it seems Winter here doesn't know when to shut up, so as punishment she has to stay in the cage.... Without food."
"Ooo sounds fun!" I said. Pan took my arms through me back into my cage.
"She is one weird girl if she thinks that is fun." Kenneth said.
"Thanks Kenneth" I smiled.
"You do realize I said you can't have food right?"
"Yes, I heard you." I said.
"Then why do you keep smiling?" He asked.
"I get to be away from you." I said. "Which is the best gift!"
"Fine." He said. He slammed the door shut and locked it. He apparently still doesn't understand what I have been through. If he would have gone through half of what I have gone through he wouldn't be here.
