Ana's POV
Ariving at Calum's house we were greeted by his mom, she was so nice. Walking into the garage the boys started to set up their banding equipment, while I took my seat against the garage door.
Soon after the boys were set up Ashton walked in with a blonde girl holding his hand. They walked over to me and Ash said,
"This is Ana, just sit with her while we practice. She'll keep you company." He said. The girl let go of his hand sitting next to me leaning against the large metal door.
"Hello," I said to her. "What's your name?"
"Lauren" she said.
"That's a pretty name," I replied. We sat there for a few minutes in silence while the boys decided what songs to practice today. "You must be Ashton's sister right?"
"Yeah," She said nodding. "Ashton's a good brother."
We sat there for a while. Lauren looked really bored.
"Hey Lauren," I whispered in her ear. "You wanna go get a milkshake?" I asked. I looked at her, her eyes getting wide. She nodded. I stood and helped her up. "We are going to get milkshakes. Do you guys want anything?" I asked trying to speak up over the music. But they must not have heard me, Luke saw me grab my keys about to walk out the door with Lauren.
"Oi, where are you two going?" He asked into the microphone.
"We are getting milkshakes." I said taking Lauren's hand and walking out of the garage. Walking to my car I unlocked the door. She got in and buckled up. We drove down to the milkshake place Luke took me on our first date. When we walked in we took a seat in a booth across from each other. When the waiter came over Lauren ordered first.
"Could I have a strawberry milkshake please?"
"Sure thing!" the waitress said scribbling the order on the pad. "And for you?"
"I'll have a vanilla milkshake and a plate of french fries please." the waitress gave me a puzzled look.
"French fries?" she raised an eyebrow
"Sorry I'm from the US and we call them french fries. Umm I think they're called chips here?"
"Ooh okay. A plate of chips. Got it." She scribbled on her pad again and walked away.
"So you are dating Luke right?" Lauren asked me.
"Yea we are together." I answered her. She looked at me suspiciously. She narrowed her eyes speaking again,
"You're hiding something,"
"What makes you say that?" I asked. I started to worry. Maybe she could tell that I was wearing contacts. Or that my hair was dyed.
"I'm just kidding!" she started laughing.
"Oh, haha" I laughed with her. I asked her about school. She was 13 and her favorite subject was art. By now our food arrived. I took a french fry and dipped it in my milkshake and popped it into my mouth.
"Eww!" Lauren said dipping her fry in ketchup.
"Have you ever tried it?" I asked taking a sip of my milkshake.
"No, but I don't think I want to." she shook her head.
"C'mon! try it! It's like the perfect balance of salty and sweet." I handed her a fry. She dipped it in her strawberry shake and bit the fry.
"Your right. This is good!"
She smiled continuing to dip fries Into her milkshake. We sat there talking about milkshakes and what she wants to be when she grows up. And random things about Ashton that I didn't know, like that he plays the saxophone.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw a blonde quiff duck behind a wall.
"Lauren, I think the boys are trying to scare us. C'mon." I motioned for her to follow me while I got up from the booth. We walked towards the wall where if last seen the quiff. "On my count."
She nodded her head ready to scare her brother.
"One, two, three!"
"RRRAAAAWWWEEERRRR!!!!!!!!" We yelled at the top of our lungs.
"AHHHHHHHH AHHHH!!!!" They screamed like little girls.
"I can't believe you guys would try and scare us like that!" I said putting my hands on my hips.
"Well you definatly got us!" Ashton said. We walked back to our booth everyone squeezing in. Luke took the cherry off my milkshake popping it into his mouth. He plucked off the stem and put it on my napkin.
"Yep you can't totally have the cherry off my milkshake," I said sarcastically.
"Thanks babe," he said, kissing my cheek.
I just sat there in disbelief. I can't believe he took my cherry. I frowned at him.
"Don't frown. You don't look as pretty when you frown Ana." He said. "Do you want another cherry?"
I nodded and smiled. When the waitress walked back over she decided to take the boys' orders as well.
"Okay so I've got a double bacon cheese burger with no onions and extra chips, a regular double cheese burger with a chocolate milkshake. And one large banana split Sundae. What about you?" she asked pointing at Luke with her pen.
"Can I have a bowl of the cherries you put on milkshakes? And a cheese toastie?"
"Um sure..." She trailed off obviously curious about the bowl of cherries.
"A bowl of cherries?" I asked Luke, raising my eyebrows.
"Yes, you said you wanted another cherry."
"Alright then. I could eat those cherries all day everyday." I took his hand in mine under the table giving it a squeeze.
The waitress arrived back at our table with a serving tray full of food. And a bowl of cherries. After she handed out the food everyone started eating.
Luke munched on his cheese toastie and I ate the cherries. Picking off the stem and setting it to the side. I took a cherry out of the bowl offering it to Luke, he opened his mouth and I fed it to him. Popping the stem off the end.
"Best cherry ever," he said chewing the sugary fruit.
"Even better than the one you stole?" I leaned into his shoulder and he put his arm around me.
Mystery POV
The sound of typing was getting louder and louder by the minute, I couldn't take it anymore. You could practically smell the anxiety wafting through the air. I closed my laptop and walked through the door at the front of the office. Walking down the hall I came to a set of frosted glass double doors. I knocked,
"Enter," Said the voice from inside. I pushed through the doors, sitting in his large chair behind an even larger cherry red mahogany desk was my boss. "What do you want?"
"Well sir, if I may?" I asked politley
"You may, what is it you want to tell me?"
"We know they went into the witness protection program and all of their firewalls are high military class. We couldn't get past them from the outside, even if we wanted to." I paused
"And what is it your suggesting?"
"What if we infiltrate this FBI building here? That's where they would've had to go, to even think of getting away. So that way, all we would have to do is get someone to tell us their password on their computer, and we're in. No more continuous searching. We'll have them in the palm of our hands." The boss looked at me over the top of his bifocals. Rubbing his hands together.
"I see where your coming from, and I think it's a great idea." He nodded.
"Thank you sir," I smiled proud of myself.
"That's why you'll be the one to infiltrate and recover the information needed."
