The next morning JJ woke up and realized where she was. Her and Emily were facing opposite directions, but she remembered falling asleep in Emily's arms. She missed Emily's arms wrapped around her, but she realized that she probably should go back home. Will would kill her if he knew that she spent the night at Emily's apartment. She got up and sent Emily a text saying where she was going and thanked her for letting her stay there for the night. JJ didn't even bother to change out of her clothes. She just found a pair of Emily's slippers and drove back to her house. When she walked in, Will was making breakfast. "Ha. Wow. You still went to her house even after i told you I'm divorcing you over her." Will said once he saw her.
"She was being a good friend. She let me stay there when I didn't want to come back here. She let me borrow pajamas because I didn't bring any with me. She comforted me during the storm last night; something you never do." JJ explained.
"Was this before or after you fucked her?" Will asked.
"I didn't do anything with her. What I told you is all that happened." JJ told him.
"Yeah. Okay." he said.
"Why can't you believe me?" JJ asked.
"Maybe it's because you would rather hang out with her than me." Will told her.
"The only time I would rather hang out with her than you is when you are being like this." JJ told him truthfully.
"Somehow I still don't believe that." Will said.
"Oh my God. You need to get over this phase and start to trust me." JJ said.
"Why should I do that? We're getting a divorce, so there's no point in me doing that." Will said. JJ rolled her eyes when her phone vibrated.
"Spence wants to hang out. Unless you have a problem with that too." JJ said.
"Not at all. I would rather you have cheated on me with him than that dyke." Will told her.
"I never cheated on you! Call her that one more time, I will beat you." JJ told him and walked out. She didn't care that she was in her pajamas. Who wears nice clothes in the morning anyway?
She drove to a nearby diner and waited on Spencer to get there. "Can I get you anything to drink?" the waitress asked.
"I will just get a coffee. Thank you." JJ said. A few minutes later, Spencer walks to her table and sits down. "Hey Spence!" JJ said with a smile.
"Hey JJ! Thanks for meeting with me." Reid said.
"No problem. So what did you want to talk about?" JJ asked.
"I need your advice." he said. JJ looked at him as if she were telling him to keep going. "There's this girl that I like, but I don't know if she likes me. I want to tell her that I like her, but I don't know if I should." Spencer said. That made her smile because her non biological brother likes someone.
"Can I know her name?" JJ asked.
"Oh. Hey Spencer! Do you want your usual?" the waitress asked.
"Yeah!" Spencer said with a smile. The waitress smiled back at him and walked away after setting JJ's coffee on the table. She came back a minute later with coffee for him and a pad to write down their orders.
"Three pancakes with syrup and one butter square thing, 2 eggs with mozzarella cheese in them, scrambled, one piece of bacon not too crispy but not raw, and hashbrowns extra crispy for you Spence. What can I get for you?" the waitress asked.
"I will just get waffles with some butter and syrup." JJ said.
"Anything else?" the waitress asked.
"Nope. That will be it." JJ said.
"Okay. I will put this in, and it should be out soon." she said and took the menus. She walked away and put their order in the system. As she was dong that, JJ looked at Spencer with an amused look.
"You like her, don't you?" JJ asked.
"What?" Reid asked.
"It's her you like." JJ said.
"How did you figure it out?" Reid asked.
"I'm a profiler. Plus I just put everything together. You wanted to come here because she is working, I luckily got her as a waitress, you smile at her in that special way, you have that spark in you eyes when you look at her, and when you see her you light up." JJ said.
"Okay. It's her. Her name is Lila Archer. I met her the first time I came her. I kind of just liked her since." Spencer said.
"So you want to ask her out? Just ask her if she wants to go to the movies or something like that. I think she likes you too, so I don't think she will reject you." JJ said.
"What makes you think that?" Reid asked.
"Well for one, she memorized your order. How many times do you come here?" JJ asked.
"Twice a week." Reid answered.
"There you go. Even though you don't come here that often, she still memorized your order. She smiles at you the way you smile at her. She lights up when she sees you, and she has that same spark in her eyes. She stood closer to you when she was taking out order. So that's why I say she likes you. Ask her when she comes back. If it makes you feel any better, I will go on a double date with you wherever you choose." JJ said.
"You would do that?" Spencer asked.
"Of course." JJ said.
"Thank you." Reid said. About 10 minutes later, their food comes out, so Reid took his opportunity. "Lila, I'm going to the movies later with some friends, would you like to go with me?" Spencer asked.
"Um, sure! What movie are we seeing?" Lila asked, blushing a little bit.
"Uh- the- the new Purge movie." Spencer said, saying the first movie that came to his mind.
"Cool! So what time should I be ready?"
"I will pick you up at 6:30." Spencer told her.
"Okay. I can't wait!" Lila said and walked away after putting their food on the table.
"You're welcome." JJ said and began eating. The rest of the time they spent talking about random things.
JJ texted Emily and told her to be ready to go to the movies by 6:30. JJ didn't give her a choice. She kind of made up her decision for her.
When 6:30 came around, JJ knocked on Emily's door and waited for her to answer. When Emily opened the door, JJ couldn't help but think that she looked beautiful. "Ready?" JJ asked.
"Yep! What movie are we seeing?" Emily asked.
"The new Purge movie. Spence picked it. Not me." JJ said.
"Reid? Does he even like movies like that?" Emily asked.
"We will find out." JJ said. They went out to her car and met Reid and Lila at the theater.
"Lila, you met JJ this morning. With her is Emily." Reid said, introducing them.
"Nice to meet you." Lila said, shaking hands with Emily. They went inside and bought the tickets. They went into the theater the movie was playing in and sat in the middle. During the movie, Emily and JJ were holding hands the entire time. Spencer was hiding his face every time he got scared. Lila was amused, but she found it cute.
After the movie, JJ drove Emily back to her apartment. They went inside, and just as JJ was about to leave, they hugged each other. They hugged longer than they ever have, and they wished they could stay in each others arms forever. But, JJ had to get back to her house. "Unfortunately I have to get home." JJ said, still hugging Emily.
"Okay. Bye." Emily said.
"Bye." JJ said and pulled away from the hug. She looked into Emily's eyes and then looked down at her lips. They looked so kissable. She felt herself leaning in, and she could see Emily doing the same.
"You should probably get home. Will might kill you if he found out that you were here." Emily said, stopping anything from happening.
"True. Bye Emily." JJ said.
"Bye Jayje." Emily said and watched JJ leave. The urge to kiss JJ grew stronger every day for Emily, and one of these times, she won't be able to stop herself.
