Lauren’s POV
It has to the end of our week off. Yesterday we spent the day travelling back down to London because tonight we have to go to a music awards. Sally told us that the band was up for three awards and that some are up for separate awards but she wasn’t sure who it was.
We are currently back at the band house; the vamps had gone back to their place but will be picking us up in about 2 or 3 hours. I had just got out of the shower, I grabbed a towel and of the hand rail and wrapped it around my body before walking across the landing to my room. Sally had hired a professional hair stylist and makeup artist to make us look good for the event; I put on some leggings and a t-shirt while I had my makeup done so that I didn’t get any of it on my dress. I would say that it took half an hour to an hour to do my hair and makeup, Georgina and Sara had already had theirs done before so that just left Brooke. I ran upstairs to finish getting ready before the boys arrive.
Tristan’s POV
I have decided that tonight I am going to ask Lauren to be my girlfriend, since that kiss I just haven’t been able to get her off my mind but saying that I haven’t since the day we met her.
“Tris come on or we will be late to pick up the girls” I heard James’s voice call upstairs, I finished doing up my tie then ran down stairs to find Brad, James and Con waiting for me.
I was first out the car and up to the door as soon as came to a stop, I knocked and soon enough the door was opened by Georgina who welcomed us into the house, as we walked in past Georgina I looked back at Connor who just couldn’t keep his eyes of her. Sara appeared and ran straight to Brad and embraced him, Brooke followed and smiled at James who smiled back and told her that she looked beautiful
“Jesus, how long is Lauren taking to get ready all she needed to do was put on her dress, jewellery and shoes which shouldn’t take this long. Lauren get your arse down here now or we are going to be late for the awards ceremony” Sara shouted upstairs to where Lauren currently was. A couple of minutes later she appeared at the top of the stairs
“Sorry, but I couldn’t find my earrings” Lauren said when she appeared, I couldn’t help but stare she so beautiful, I didn’t even knew that everyone else had left and got in the car till Lauren got to the bottom of the stairs and was about to walk out to the limo that had been hired to take us until she spoke
“Are you coming Tris?”
“Oh yeah, just daydreaming” I turned and headed out to the limo to join everyone else. Lauren joined us after locking up the band house; we were sat at the back of the limo, when she sat next to me I leant over and whispered into her ear
“You look beautiful” I saw the colour start to rush to her cheeks before she turned to look at me and replied
“And don’t you look dashing” which made me laugh
Lauren’s POV
I looked down as I felt Tris’s hand slide on to my leg then looked back up to see his face smiling at me as I smiled back.
About 10 or 15 minutes later we arrived at an old theatre that the awards ceremony was being held in. We walked down the red carpet, the vamps got out first and as they were walking done the carpet they stopped with some fans and took selfies and signed some autographs the carried on and answered some questions from the journalists, finally posed for the paps. Right that looks easy enough I was the first out of the limo I was about to walk past all the fans that probably didn’t want a photo or an autograph with us, but some people started shouting the band name and all of our names as well, it was astonishing. I walked over followed by Georgina, Sara and Brooke to talk to the fans and what they thought of the covers and our first single, the responses were all good, after signing a couple of autographs, taking people pictures and getting peoples twitter names so we could follow them we were moved along by the body guard.
We finally got up the red carpet and where greeted by Tris, James, Brad and Con at the end, we walked in and were greeted by a man dressed in a tuxedo who took us to our table
“Who do you think we will be sat with?” I asked and looked round the table to see Brad, James, Tristan and Connor laughing
“Why are you laughing? You know don’t you? Come on tell me who we are sitting with”
“Why don’t you look at the name plates Lauren” James laughed as I got up from my seat and walked around the table to the four empty seats
“Are you kidding me? Please tell me this isn’t a joke because if it is let me tell you that you have crushed my hopes and dreams”
“Nope it’s not a joke” Con said laughing
“Go Lauren tell us who we are sat with” Georgina asked me
“We’re sat with MCFLY!” I practically screamed the last bit. Seconds later I felt a tap on my shoulder, I turned around and before looking the persons face I started to apologise
“I’m sorry I didn’t mean to scream I’m just so excited about meeting Mcfly”
“It’s okay I’m excited about meeting us to” I looked up and felt my whole body go weak as I saw who was stood in front of me, Dougie Poynter, Tom Fletcher, Harry Judd and Danny Jones
“Nice to meet you Lauren, right?” Tom extended his hand for me to shake which I did and answered with a nod, the others followed Toms actions before I went to go and sit down Danny, Tom, Dougie and Harry went and greeted everyone else on the table and Georgina looked as shocked as me, I think we were both about to cry. I couldn’t begin to think how awkward this is going to be because I have a huge crush on Dougie I always have I swear I might pass out any second now.
We have been laughing and having a good time with the Mcfly and The vamps it was awesome I never imagined I would ever get to know my favourite band as well as I have done tonight, I jumped as I felt a tap on my shoulder I turned around to see one of the event organisers
“Lauren and Sara you are presenting the next award so you need to be back stage” I tapped Sara who was talking to Brooke
“Sara we need to go, we are presenting the next award” Sara jumped out of her chair; I think she might be a little tipsy. We followed the event person back stage just as they announce the winner for the other award. I was quite nervous but Sara wasn’t she was so excited and was ready to get on stage, as we walked on stage we got a round of applause and a couple of wolf whistles which made me laugh, We got to the podium and began to announce the award
Lauren: “firstly I want to apologise for if I muck this up I haven’t done anything like this before and I want to say good luck to all the nominees, so here goes, the nominations for best single are Happy by Pharrell Williams”
Sara: “Don’t stop by Five seconds of summer”
Lauren: “Sing by Ed Sheeran”
Sara: “Midnight memories by one direction”
Lauren: “Let her go by Passenger”
Sara: “and finally last night by The Vamps”
Lauren: “and the winner of the best single goes to Happy by Pharrell Williams, unfortunately Pharrell couldn’t be with us tonight but we have been able to skype him, here’s what he has to say” when Pharrell had finished his speech we went back to our table and waited for the award we were nominated for.
Pixie Lott was announcing the award for best new comer its was between us, Five seconds of summer, George Ezra, Ella Henderson, Rixton and us, so I really doubt we will win against such great performers
Pixie: “And the award for best new comer is ... Sunday skyline, well done girls”
I looked at the rest of the band who where all in shock, we went and collected our award and made our speech which all the other girls made me say
“I am actually speechless, it’s amazing to get an award and since we were up against such amazing performers, thanks to everyone that voted for us and I want to say I giant thanks to Sally our manager without her we wouldn’t be here now and finally a big thanks to The Vamps and their team who found me and casted me in their music video as well as letting me be their support act on their American mini tour, I think I have covered everything, thanks once again.”
By the time the awards had finished we had another award for best covers and the vamps had an award for best looking male group. We all went to the cocktail lounge where there was an after party, we got I booth with Mcfly and the vamps and have been having a great time all night.
“Guys I’m going to get another round of drinks who wants something”
“I’ll have a mojito thanks Tris” I said
“I ergh want a...cosmopolitan” Sara slurred her words
“I think you have had enough Sara” Brooke laughed “Can I have a coke please Tris” She continued
“I’ll have the same” Georgina added, Tristan got the rest of the orders and went the bar I watched as a girl came over to Tris and pretty obviously started to flirt with him, but from what I could see Tris was flirting back I mean I didn’t want to jump to conclusions so I ignored it and continued laughing and talking to Dougie about Green day and Blink 182. Tristan came back to the table with the drinks then disappeared again just assumed he had gone to the toilet.
Tristan had been gone I while now and since I needed the toilet I got up and headed in that direction the toilets where down a corridor as I rounded the corner I saw the girl that was talking to Tris earlier making out with someone, I had to look slightly closer before I realised who it was...Tristan, I felt my whole body start to shake as I held back the tears. I walked quickly back to the lounge
“Hey Dougie do you wanna dance?” he nodded and got up he lead the way to the centre of the dance floor. We were having such a good time that I forgot that everyone was watching but the thing I couldn’t shake was the thing I had just seen. Without thinking I crashed my lips on to Dougie’s as soon as I did I heard Tristan’s voice
“Where’s Lauren?”
“She’s on the dance floor with Dougie, see” I saw Sara point in my direction followed by Tris’s eyes, I saw how hurt he was and regretted kissing Dougie but I didn’t stop, it was Tristan’s fault I thought he loved me but that was just a lie and he kissed someone else, well two can play at that game.
I am soo sorry I haven’t updated in ages I have been so busy recently but I hope you like the chapter
